Ristorante Villa Francesca Reviews
I took my beautiful girlfriend to Villa for her birthday. It was an amazing experience. We got to sit next to an open window and watch all the action on Richmond and Hanover streets. It wasn’t a distraction from each other but added to the ambiance. We had the Gamberi Scampi to start. It was delightful. Veal and Chicken for dinner. Tiramisu and Cappuccino to finish. The food was 10/10 and the service was even better which was incredible because they were busy. Worth the price...read full review

Ristorante Villa Francesca offers classic Italian dining in an elegant setting. Guests are greeted promptly and served by friendly and efficient staff, including attentive servers like Humberto who provide excellent service. The menu features well-prepared dishes such as Seafood Risottos, Penne Pastas with Bacon, Broccoli Rabe, and Cheese in a cream sauce, and the highly recommended special pasta with mushrooms. Appetizers like Mussels in white wine & garlic, Melanzane Rollatini, and Bruschetta are generous and delicious, with the mussels being described as phenomenal. The restaurant also offers Gamberi Scampi, veal, chicken, and stuffed lobster over pasta and seafood, all prepared fresh and of high quality.
Guests enjoy the ambiance, especially with the floor-to-ceiling windows open to the street, providing a nice view. The garlic bread and the overall atmosphere contribute to a warm, home-style Italian feel. Many visitors praise the tasty food, good prices, and friendly service, making it popular for families, romantic dinners, or special nights out. The calamari starter with Pinot is often enjoyed, and the raviolis are considered to be absolutely amazing.
Recent experiences highlight that the restaurant remains consistent, with quick service and well-cooked food. However, some guests note that prices have increased, with pasta entrees costing an extra $12-$15, and the bill can be higher than expected, especially when choosing drinks. One guest celebrated a birthday with excellent food and a nice view, rating the food 10/10 and praising the service as even better despite a busy atmosphere, making it worth the price and encouraging a return visit.
On the other hand, some visitors feel that Villa Francesca has lost some of its charm, noting a decline in service and food quality, and describing the place as tired and in need of an upgrade. While it maintains a home-style Italian feel, other options in the North End are now considered better. Despite this, many still find it a good choice for a satisfying Italian meal, especially for those seeking consistent quality and a pleasant environment.
