“An authentic kebob odyssey in Watertown.I’ve been on a hunt for good kebob recently and stumbled upon this spot. Since Watertown is known to have some of the most authentic kebob experiences in the Greater Boston area, I had high hopes, and Roksana’s lived up to that. When I first tried their signature Koobideh, I was absolutely blown away. These minced beef kebobs were juicy, flavorful, and impeccably cooked. The addition of egg yolk brushed pita bread, coupled with the simple perfection of rice and tomatoes, made the experience even more satisfying. On my subsequent visits, I also had the lamb and beef soltanis. Beef kabob was slightly better, but both were good.In their refrigerated section, they also have some good yogurt spreads. So far, I’ve tried the eggplant and shallot spread, and although a tad more expensive, the eggplant spread definitely stood out more with its subtle smokiness. If you’re planning a visit, just make sure that you place the order via phone in advance as it might take around 20 minutes for the food to get ready. While the journey to get there might be a bit lengthy, the destination will be worth every mile traveled.“

“Best chicken parm in the Boston area -- bar none. I also love how they have simple prepared food at the counter -- like thinly fried slices of eggplant; and spinach sauteed with garlic and olive oil. I'd love to try something else besides the chicken parm but it's so delicious I have to order it every time. This is a classic mom and pop shop and you can tell the owners are really passionate about the food they prepare and serve. Wish it was closer but whenever I'm in the neighborhood I make sure to stop in.“

“Stopped in after a show at the armory. The food was great. I loved their cucumber yogurt dish, the falafel came topped with mint and a pickled vegetable that was great. This was already a regular stop of my friend when he is in town and I will have to add it to mine. Staff was very friendly.“

“Best shawarma in Boston. Huge portions of delicious food. Falafel, Lamb Shawarma, and Soujok are all especially good.Removed a star because the prices on the board are not what they charge. Everything is several dollars more expensive than the listed price.“

“The service here was great. The place was super clean and organized. Our food was fresh and piping hot. Not just spicy hot but out of the fried or oven hot. Worker came over and checked to see if there was anything we needed. Will be back. Real soon!!!“

“The food is good especially, Pizzas are so delicious. But need deep clean, so dirty. Bad example for other culture people when they visit (it's in downtown). The toilet faucet can be fixed for $50. Just look at YouTube and change buy yourself. Tables are so oily.“

“The portion size has decreased a lot over the years, sadly, but the food is still pretty good (and nostalgic since I would get Chicken and Rice Guys from the food truck with my friends after school all the time). I recommend the combo plate and to douse your plate in their famous white sauce. You can also take a separate container to dip your pita.“

“The service was great! The waitress even looked up Midnight at Pera Palace for me to see if there was going to be a season 2, since I can’t speak Turkish. The food was great and lasted the whole subway ride home. We got falafel and kabobs.“

“Had guru at the Boston Public Library farmers market. I know food prices are getting higher, but I feel like for just a few dollars more, you can gorge at a buffet somewhere. The pakora looked phenomenal but cannot be chosen as a side, which is disappointing. They definitely save money by using tripartite containers and loading basmati rice onto the biggest section. I would definitely consider using them for catering but I also know that Indian grub isn't for everyone. The Farmer's market is in a great spot. You can just eat at the sidewall of the BPS and talk to people. It's a good experience on a nice day and even more so if you're from out of town. As an aside, I don't know why the only two hot food offerings are Indian at the farmer's market. The samosas at the other joint looked like a must try. That review for that one will be coming soon. Sorry I don't have any photos.“

“Expand your culinary pallet with the cuisine at Ashur Restaurant. One thing is for sure each time you visit Asher: The food is delicious, and you are most certainly welcome. The sambusa are great! Don't forget to ask for the busbus sauce! The house sauce is homemade, and if you don't get it, you're severely missing out.If you haven't been here yet, you're missing an absolute gem. “I returned to this place after a very long time, for lunch and it was just as I remember it - tender and tasty meat, crisp salad, and aromatic rice. Tried the chicken, lamb and kofta kebabs, all good as always but the lamb shish kebab was the highlight.“

“Good food, good quick service, plenty of seating. Had little buzzers for when your food is ready. They're fine with modifications to menu items, at least asking to take off stuff.Vegetarian options: Had a vegetarian section with falafel and salad options.Dietary restrictions: Has halal and vegetarian options and will do modifications for the wraps if asked. Not sure they'd be able to do gluten free.Parking: It's in Boston near the Park Street T stop but there isn't really parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Some of the seating is raised with steps but the entrance and most of the place is level with the sidewalk.“

“Absolutely wonderful Turkish restaurant just outside Davis Square. Definitely my favorite Turkish restaurant, and one of my all-time favorite restaurants, in the Boston area. The star of the show is the food, which is beautifully prepared and has many options for a wide variety of diets. Just go already!Vegetarian options: Plentiful vegetarian options! A bit more limited for vegans, but there are still some great options.“

“Spectacularly great food. Wonderful as always. Very accommodating for vegetarian diners. However, we asked for a quiet table and the room became loud on Friday night. Our server was busy. Very attentive at the beginning; not so much at the end.“

“Wicked good. Chicken was crispy, flavorful, and juicy. The Reaper heat level was hotter than what's available most places. The fries were great. This is a nice addition to the food scene of the Boston suburbs.Edited to add that although the food is delicious, the Reaper spice level varies MASSIVELY from order to order. I've gotten it several times now and it ranges from mildly hot to borderline inedible. Some consistency would be great.“

“I have been enjoying Chicken and Rice guys since it was a line of food trucks!Whether you order from the kiosk or the counter the food comes out immediately - they know how to move the lunch crowd along. I always get the chicken on rice. And I usually get the garlic sauce, the barbeque sauce or some mix of the two. It's consistently good, but your other options are tofu or gyro - but I've never had either. They have cans of soda (coke company!) and some house made beverages. Always a delicious meal. This is the only brick and mortar location I've ever been to - and though I liked the Cheeseboy that was here years before, Chicken and Rice guys is a step up. (The cheeseboy lives on in a rectangular garbage slot in the center trashcan console that is the exact shape of the cheeseboy sandwich boxes)My less favorite things. The Kiosk is right in front of the door, so if a customer is slow at the kiosk, folks queue up and block the door. I'm also not a fan of the hard plastic to go containers.“

“The restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere, and I particularly enjoyed their specialty, laghman, which was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. However, I found the chicken dish to be excessively spicy and salty, making it challenging to consume. Additionally, while the pilav was decent, it didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor. Overall, while there were some hits and misses, the standout dish of laghman made the dining experience worthwhile.“
“We decided to take a walk through Everett and came here. Loved the Flatbread, very similar to an Indian paratha, which I never knew would taste so good with cream cheese and honey. The raisin danish was also amazing. Finally, the customer service was really nice. It can take time since only a few people work, but it's worth the wait.“

“We didn't know what to expect from Pakistani Mexican cuisine but, damn, it was delicious! The staff was so kind, making us feel so welcome. We ordered the butter chicken, samosas, cheese naan (pretty much a less greasy quesadilla) and the mango lassi (mmmm that was a good mango lassi). Would go back - both for the food and the experience. Thanks!“
“Dayib Cafe exceeded our expectations! It's a hole-in-a-wall restaurant, so don't let the sparse decor scare you away. There is no menu because it's simple enough - choices of goat, lamb (shank or kabob), chicken, rice, spaghetti, and others we can't remember - to choose from. The chef immediately cooked our selections of lamb kabob and chicken with rice to order, and out came these massive platters of food! Each platter also came with fresh salad veggies and a stewed greens, potatoes and onions. So flavorful and would highly recommend the smoky red and bright green hot sauces if you want a good kick in your meal. We couldn't finish between the two of us, so if you order a platter, bring a healthy appetite. Cash only joint so be prepared! Can't wait to come back again soon!“

“For all the Momo lovers in area. Tried the pan fried veggie Momo and tandoori Momos. They were indeed really good but a few suggestions for the restaurant:More Momo chutney with orders would be great and spicy chutney on side too. And as for the tandoori Momos, they felt a little raw which took away from flavor.Overall great “

From the moment you step inside, you're greeted with friendly smiles and welcoming staff who are always happy to recommend their favorites on the menu. The atmosphere is cozy and inviting, with brightly colored walls and comfortable seating. Now let's talk about the food. Hot Chix Halal specializes in spicy fried chicken, and it's some of the best I've ever had. The chicken is crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, with just the right amount of heat. “Ahmed, the owner, is a great and generous man. He has created a perfect place if you want to go somewhere with a great atmosphere, where the staff is friendly and accommodating to all needs. I have been there a few times now and every time have felt welcome, and have been served excellent food. Their breakfast sandwiches are perfect if you need a quick bite to eat before work, or if you go for lunch their menu is excellent offering a wide variety of selections. I honestly would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for something great to eat in the Brighton area of Boston.“
