“What a great place! We found this while searching for vegan/vegetarian spots in the area. We got dolmas, a falafel pita wrap and a hummus and veggie pita wrap. The fillings were fresh, pita huge and crunchy and delicious, and the most smooth hummus ever. Need to come back here to try the impossible meatballs soon!“
“An authentic kebob odyssey in Watertown.I’ve been on a hunt for good kebob recently and stumbled upon this spot. Since Watertown is known to have some of the most authentic kebob experiences in the Greater Boston area, I had high hopes, and Roksana’s lived up to that. When I first tried their signature Koobideh, I was absolutely blown away. These minced beef kebobs were juicy, flavorful, and impeccably cooked. The addition of egg yolk brushed pita bread, coupled with the simple perfection of rice and tomatoes, made the experience even more satisfying. On my subsequent visits, I also had the lamb and beef soltanis. Beef kabob was slightly better, but both were good.In their refrigerated section, they also have some good yogurt spreads. So far, I’ve tried the eggplant and shallot spread, and although a tad more expensive, the eggplant spread definitely stood out more with its subtle smokiness. If you’re planning a visit, just make sure that you place the order via phone in advance as it might take around 20 minutes for the food to get ready. While the journey to get there might be a bit lengthy, the destination will be worth every mile traveled.“
“Never had a falafel before! Until my fiance introduced me to Jake's. I had the falafel dish with salad and hummus and comes with a dipping sauce. Tasted great! Would definitely recommend! Amazing service and great people! Look forward to trying other dishes!“
“I hadn't been to a Persian restaurant in the Greater Boston area before. I am glad I went to this one. It is a typical hole in the wall, "blink and you'll miss it," outlet in Watertown. The food was lip smackingly fantastic. The chicken was grilled to perfection and succulent enough to melt in my mouth. I recommend the kabob plate, which comes with rice pilaf and grilled tomatoes (delicious), with a bottle of a carbonated buttermilk based drink to wash it down.“
“This was my first visit to Molana, and it won't be my last! Everything was excellent and the owners were so friendly and accommodating. I want them to know how much I appreciate their dedication to good food and good service. And I can't emphasize the service part enough. Rather than merely a customer, they treated me like a guest, and they took good care of me while I was there. Not only that, but my food tasted great, the portion was big enough to get two meals out of, and it was all for a reasonable price. Also, I would highly recommend the Persian Ice Cream. I had some and it was the perfect end to my meal. Rich, flavorful, yet not too heavy and it was not like anything I've ever had before. I can't wait to come back again and see what else they have to offer. Thanks again to the staff for making this such a memorable experience for me and I hope to be back soon.“
“Wow. Wow. What a discovery! I ordered delivery and expected something “okay”. I am left speechless. This was arguably the best meal I’ve had in a long time. Quality, quantity, taste - phenomenal...I had the Mediterranean mix which was a great sample of all different tastes. The rice (usually just fill in deliveries) was excellent with that slight bit of saffron coating it. Thank you!“
