“I love fine dining, but nowadays there are a lot of places that market themselves as "fine dining" yet serve mediocre, expensive small plates. I am happy to say that Nightshade Noodle Bar is not one of those places and instead truly deserves the title. We had to make a reservation a month in advance, and it was well worth the wait. There are 7, 9, 12, 14, and 21 course options. 7-14 will supposedly fill you the same (the only difference is that you'll get to try more things in smaller portions), and 21 requires more preparation. We originally planned on 7 but decided on 9 after being enticed by the menu. This was the right call, as we were satisfied after 9 plates. You also get to request two dishes specifically. In order of most to least favorite (though, we enjoyed everything):- Marblehead urchin brûlée: There were good-sized chunks of uni, and the hollandaise was so creamy and buttery, which was balanced by the saltiness of the torched cinnamon.- Grilled coconut sticky rice pops: The presentation worked well, as the stick made it easy to dip and eat. The sticky rice was more like sushi or risotto rice, which was a nice variation from typical sticky rice. It was also /just/ sticky enough that it didn't get annoyingly stuck to your teeth afterward. The pork floss was fluffy and salty, and the coconut was lightly sweetened.- Crispy black cod: The outside of the cod was indeed crispy, but the inside melted in your mouth like wagyu. For my Viet folks, the sauce is nước màu, which is quite salty, so I think having some rice would have made this amazing dish even better.- Chilled Portuguese percebes: The taste was not bad (has a sweet ocean taste and the texture is like a lobster-clam mashup), but we enjoyed this dish more so for its unique experience, as we don't know where else we would ever get to try percebes, and it was fun de-shelling.- Claypot caramel foie gras: The foie gras had a nice bite on the outside but melted like the cod. Because the sauce tasted the same as that of the cod, we almost wish we got to try something else instead. Nevertheless, it was good.- Nightshade caviar service: The eggspuma dip was light, airy, and the perfect first dish to prep the palate. The caviar made the dish feel more luxurious, but tbh, the chips tasted fine with just the dip. In contrast to the luxurious caviar, the chips tasted like Lay's. Something that tasted more homemade or perhaps something slightly more elevated like bread would have made this dish better.- Dungeness crab: This dish had mixed reactions, but I liked it. The flavors were reminiscent of phở, and then you would get a truffle aftertaste. This dish could be a miss for you if you aren't able to dissociate the noodles from the famous soup dish that they are typically served in (phở). I just wish there were larger chunks of crab, as I was searching for that with every bite.- Salted chocolate mousse: Rich, thick, and salty. A dollop of whipped cream would have been a nice addition.- Kabocha squash bột chiên: Better than expected but the least memorable imo. It kind of tasted like tempura. I liked the sweet squash. We also tried a few drinks, which were all very good. I recommend the coconut margarita. The food alone was already a 5/5 for me, but we got exceptional service on top of that, especially from our bartender, Shayne (if anyone from the staff can reach out to me with her email, I'd love to send over the picture we took!).This is a place I would happily come back to, and I love that they keep track of what you order each time to cater a different experience on subsequent visits. Thank you, Nightshade Noodle Bar!Dietary restrictions: Items are served raw or undercooked or may contain raw or undercooked ingredients. The server should be informed beforehand if anyone in the party has a food allergy.Kid-friendliness: Not a good place for kids“

“My husband, ten year old daughter, and I did a dumpling class today and it was amazing! The explanation of all the techniques and different dumplings were very thorough and easy to follow. They were so nice to my daughter too. This specific class was catered towards adults and we really appreciate that they included her and treated her as an equal. The dumplings were delicious and the space itself was so cute! We will definitely be back, with friends! Thank you Caitlin and Cal!“

“They ALWAYS do such a great job with the quality, quantity and presentation of their food. Not to mention, their customer service is always top notch! We had a Christmas party and they kindly arranged the sushi on two big platters for us and also made sure the Uber Eats driver knew to be careful with our order because the sushi could easily move around inside the platters before it reached our house. I’ve never had a bad experience or meal from here. A regular customer for life!“

“One of my new go-to spots for Asian-inspired healthy bowls.I first found out about Lotus Test Kitchen last year while looking for a lunch spot in Downtown. Since then, I’ve been getting bowls from here at least once a month. They seamlessly meld Asian flavors into healthy bowls without a lot of compromises. My favorite bowl is their signature Braised Pork Belly Bowl, which features three substantial chunks of tender pork belly. It also comes with cabbage slaw, and pickled daikons and carrots that helps tone down the greasiness with their tangy, refreshing crunch. And then there's the Spicy Gochujang sauce, an optional but highly recommended addition that weaves sweetness and a subtle kick to the bowl. While certain dishes, like the Thai Curry Chicken and the Spicy BBQ Korean Pork Belly bowl, occasionally come with meat that errs on the drier side, their sauce and pickled vegetable toppings help elevate the central ingredients.Overall, a great lunch spot that offers a quick, filling, and delicious bowls. If you’re looking for something healthy outside of your usual salad bowls, I highly recommend giving them a try.“

“I have been coming to Hardy teriyaki for quite a while now and I am addicted to the supreme teriyaki chicken bowl. The chicken is always so fresh and tender and flavorful. I usually get it on top of the delicious fried rice. And that egg on top just brings it to another level of goodness. Not only is the food consistently delicious, the people who work there are so friendly and kind. My food is always ready when I get there and is given to me with a huge beautiful smile! love this place.“

“The food was so good! I wish I took a picture before I ate it all. I tried the jerk pork with rice with djon djon. When I called to ask about food/recommendations, Juan was amazing! He asked if I like spicy and told me about the jerk pork. It was perfect. And he was helpful and nice. I won't order from some places, sad to say, because some are so rude and not helpful when you call an order in. And the staff here was friendly and said hello when I got there to get my food. I'll definitely go there again when I'm in that area.“

“After trying a bunch of fusion places, I was curious how a Korean Mexican place would be. The answer? Awesome.I opted for some tacos since I was going around Boston snacking all day. I got 3 tacos. The beef bulgogi, spicy pork, and Kalbi short rib. Each unique in flavor but each delicious. The Bulgogi was super juicy and tender. The spicy pork had good flavor, and the ground pork texture was good. It wasn't really spicy though. The kalbi short rib was the best. A robust sweet and smoky flavor.I would come back for the short rib alone, but I'd really love to come try the kimchi.Parking: Parking in the area is tight.“

“Believe everything you read about this place and get a reservation before coming! We just came for a late nite bite and drink, ended up getting the ribs, a jasmine tea lager, and "Journey to the West" cocktail. I don't think I've had ribs that melted in your mouth quite like these did. The flavor just oozed all the way through and explodes with every bite. As amazing as they were, the item I'll be telling everyone about was that sesame infused rye cocktail with Sichuan peppercorns. It could only be described as a savory cocktail and every sip was incredible. That one might not be for everyone but it most certainly was for me!“

“With food this fresh, tasty, and genuine, we could easily eat here once a day. The excellent service matches the high quality of their menu. The owners of Cafe Bayon, a married couple, put in long hours to ensure their patrons' satisfaction. The quality of their products, the authenticity of their Cambodian recipes, and the skill with which they prepare their food never cease to amaze us. We'd eat there more often if they were open later, but we get home from work at exactly the time they close at 5 o'clock. You can place a phone order for pickup up until the last minute before they close. If you're waiting, your order has already been prepared.“

“Fried chicken bao buns, lobster rangoon, and painkiller drink shown in the pictures. The painkiller was one of the best drinks I've ever had with spiced rum.I chose banyan bar for dinner before a show at BCA next door. The happy hour dumplings and spring rolls were delicious. We ordered a ton of food for 2 people but we were happy that we did. In addition to the food above, we also got the pork belly scallion pancake and smashed cucumbers. We didn't have room for dessert but I definitely would come back here if we are in the area again.“

“We ordered the beef dry wok and the spicy beef pot, both food were extremely tasty. The Mala Wok here is much better than the ones from Mala Restaurant right across the street, the portion is a bit smaller than Mala Restaurant, but flavor wise, was much better. The beef pot was also great, though not as good as Kung Fu Mala which is also across the street. I speak Cantonese and so do the staffs there, and they were extremely friendly and nice. Definitely should check this place out, extremely underappreciated, will definitely come back to try other items on their menu. 10/10“

“The sushi is good here. They put a lot of large pieces of fish on their rolls and the ingredients like the rice and what not are usually fresh. “After Plaster Funtime with the kids, I was searching for somewhere easy to eat with my kiddos but wanted to expose them to something they hadn't had before and that I loved. Pho!!! ?28 Bistro has a low key vibe, great music in the background, and the owner who works the register and tables(at least that Sunday) was delightful. The food was absolutely delicious! I had to order an 18yo, a 14yo, and a 7 yo. 29 Bistro didn't disappoint.Apps: Seaweed Salad, Short Ribs, and CalamariEntree options: Beef Pho, 2 x Seafood Pho, and Duck Pho (these aren't the names of the dishes, but the main ingredients within). My kids were loving the flavor, enjoying every moment of the experience, and had a bunch left over for lunch the next day despite being super full.I enjoyed it all. The Dutch Pho was absolutely amazing and while I over did it a bit in the apps, flavorwise, it was all amazing.Oh, we capped it off with various flavors of boaba tea! You've gotta check out 29 Bistro. “This place is one of the more popular hot pot restaurants in the Boston area. There is a small parking lot off the side street if you are lucky. The restaurant is huge with bar seating having individual pots and tables with shared pots. Service was attentive and quick. The house broth is included and any flavor is an extra charge. I got the A5 beef regular combo and it came with a choice of noodles and assorted vegetables. The udon noodles and beef were fresh and not frozen. It did give an impression of higher quality than other places. The flavor broth is really good and the portion for the regular meat combo was a good size for one person. You should get a regular combo for each person.“

“The food here is so amazing, particularly on the sushi side. This is some of the best sushi I've ever had, including many visits to Japan. It is rare to find a place where the rolls, nigiri, and sashimi are all good. You get what you pay for. Crunchy shrimp tempura, full-flavored spicy rolls, and high quality sashimi. Atmosphere and music choice is top notch.I also ordered delivery from Thai/Indonesian side the night before. It's great to be able to get nasi goreng in the states. Very tasty, big portion, and the leftovers were good. Pad thai could use a bit more flavoring, but it was nice. Crab rangoons were also great.“

“Great place, great food, ok prices, but the wait times can get crazy and they don't use their waitlist app.Wheelchair accessibility: Not a very wheelchair accessable place as the aisles between tables is very narrow. “Great curry here. The delivery fried tofu is no match for the one at the restaurant though. The last time I went in person it was so crisp and delicious and the one I had delivered felt like it was reheated from a fried tofu packet. Please bring back the crispy one it was so good!“
“This spot has always had really good food. Unfortunately, I think people often drive by because of the location. Also, they were closed for awhile, and I didn't realize that they had reopened. To tell you the truth, a lot of the Chinese food I've had from other places lately has been very disappointing. So we were thrilled to see that they had reopened and their food has actually improved since last time we ordered, pre-pandemic! My husband and I ordered an appetizer sampler, sesame chicken and pork fried rice. Everything was crispy, all the right flavors and fresh. I really hope people don't just drive by to the other very overrated spot on Route 1. Out of Asia has taken precautions for social distancing in their establishment and are reasonably priced. Give them a try. You won't be disappointed.“

“Very small space, but the decor is cute. There are only three tables, so not good for large parties. I recommend taking to-go. The bulgogi beef burrito is my favorite. The sauces are good, and it is filling. I haven’t been here in years, so I am not sure if the quality is the same.“

“The restaurant offers a pleasant atmosphere, and I particularly enjoyed their specialty, laghman, which was undoubtedly the highlight of the meal. However, I found the chicken dish to be excessively spicy and salty, making it challenging to consume. Additionally, while the pilav was decent, it didn't quite meet my expectations in terms of flavor. Overall, while there were some hits and misses, the standout dish of laghman made the dining experience worthwhile.“
“This place is great. They are passionate about the food they are cooking and they serve with it pride. When I have gone to eat there, I've been given free samples and soup each time. “This was my first time trying this place. I did not go in person but rather had it delivered to me at work. I didn't know what to get but I made my decision based on existing Yelp pictures. I selected the red glazed pork bowl. When I read the description, I was turned off by the seasoned soy sauce (I'm normally not a fan of soy sauce) so I was very close to requesting for them not to add it but decided to leave it as is. The first observation I made was that the food was a bit greasy so definitely not something to eat if you're on a diet. But, the green beans were good; maybe just a minute or two over cooked. The rice was flavorful and plentiful for the portion of meat. The meat had so much flavor. It was tender, it literally pulled apart with very little effort. It was savory but also a minor sweet kick in the first few chews. I would try other meals on their menu. The price for this meal is reasonable. The portion looks small at first but it's actually quite filling and is packed with a lot of meat.“

“I've always been a fan of Shōjō when they first opened in Chinatown and this was the first time I got to try out their Cambridge location, which was located in a modern building, with neighboring Asian businesses and HMart is just down the street! The pork belly bao was deliciously tender and juicy and the fresh pickled veggies added the right tingle to the taste buds. The bao itself was soft and fluffy. I was craving the Shojonator and it hit the spot. Definitely get the egg with it! But the Shadowless Fries, with its beef map tofu was the show stealer! I really liked the Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan mural giving the ambiance a modern Kung Fu feel! It wasn't busy for a Thursday lunch so service was quick and friendly.“

“Delectable EATS is located in a small food court across the street from the Sullivan T stop. It is with a wine bar, a Brazilian food stall and an Italian stall.I ordered the honey BBQ chicken wings with the vegetable jambalaya. It literally was the best rice ive ever had. I was going for the chicken wings since its usually my favorite dish. They were very tasty as well; very meaty and the sauce was excellent as well. The rice though blew me away. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. It complimented the wings and the whole meal was a great experince. I also had a chance to talk with the chef about his menu which was a fusion mix of several cultures and spices. He was expressed his importance of creating a healthy menu. He had soft drinks which contained probiotics and had less sugar than traditional sodas. The food court looked very industrial with great colors. Its small enough to be an casual and comfortable atmosphere to hang out.“
