“I loved the free samples that were offered one Saturday, but this doesn't seem to be a frequent thing at this Wholefoods... I used to come here (emphasis on USED to) to go shopping then sit down on the tables in front of the store, I'd come here before going to Corepower Yoga. However, the thing that really throws me off is these tables are MAD DIRTY, never seem to be cleaned with specs of food/other dirt which is kind of gross as Wholefoods is super boutique. Other than that, it's a big & spacious store, look at how pretty these flowers are!“
“The menu is quite expansive, so this is a good catering option. I love middle eastern/Mediterranean food, so I’ve tried a lot of different places in Boston. Compared to other places, I wouldn’t say Sultana’s makes the cut for my favorites, but it wasn’t bad.- Spinach feta quiche: The portion size is good, but the flavor was bland. I wasn’t able to finish it.- Cookies: The cookies weren’t overly sweet, which I liked. They were crumbly yet soft.- Fruit yogurt pastry: This was my favorite. I liked that they are bite-sized (though, this is also dangerous because you’ll end up eating a lot). The pastry was flaky, and the yogurt was sweet, which balanced the tartness of the fruits.- Caprice acma: I wasn’t a fan of this. The acma was too doughy. Maybe it would have tasted better warm.Happy to have tried a new place, but I probably wouldn’t come back.“
“This is the most Authentic French Restaurant I’ve tried in Boston. The food is generous and smells and tastes like a Sunday at my grandmother’s. The staff was amazing. They even offered us their Mousse au Chocolat for my friend’s birthday. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming. ?I loved the maxi profiteroles and the salmon. And the bread was warm and fresh. They also do vegetarian options!French or not, you must try it.“
“Excellent lil shop, excellent service. The croons were out of the world. We have been looking for good quality croons and other than amorino , I didn’t like anything. But now I have a new favourite place. I got 6, I ate two of them because of couldn’t resist it and I couldn’t help but write a positive review about this business. I definitely recommend this place if you are looking for some high quality croons and coffee ( especially the dirty chai latter )“
“Ion served the food rapidly. Delicious traditional Moldovian food. The taste of Moldova was delicious. The only complaint I could have is that I personally like less fat on my meat but it is quite typical to get fattier pieces of meat in Eastern Europe.“
“Some of the most delightful French treat's and finger food and quick lunch appetizers. It's a small shop that’s quaint with a nice atmosphere, just a few tables to enjoy the food and maybe catch up with someone special.I think it’s In an odd spot here in Medford (for many years it was an in & out fresh bread and some baked goods stop )but sure glad they came and it seems they're doing well.Kudos to Colettes!“
“We live in the neighborhood and visited Lazy Bear after having dinner at a neighborhood restaurant. The staff was so nice to me and my daughter. They gave her samples of the ice cream...which she LOVED. She got cotton candy ice cream. It tasted just like cotton candy but without being clowingly too sweet. It was delicious. I'm not a big fan of sweets, but "When in Rome..." I got the black raspberry. Super delicious. My daughter and i both got "single" scoops in a cup. Lazy Bear's scoop is extremely generous. It was actually more like 3 scoops. They also have free sample of their hot chocolate... which was equally delicious. One of the guys told us his grandmother makes homemade fudge that they sell. You can smell the fresh cookies in the background. And, they make their own whipped cream in several flavors. Lazy Bear has our business from now on. Great products, great staff, no pretentious stuff, great variety, great store... they delivered on everything. We're already agreed we'll be back next week.“
“Lizzy's Ice Cream in Boston offers a wide selection of options with great texture, serving sizes, and a few vegan sorbets. Their cookies and cream ice cream was delightful, with creamy base and generous cookie chunks. A must-visit for ice cream lovers.“
“We enjoyed a chai latte and caramel latte and they were delicious!! Ham cheese croissant and egg cheese croissant was the perfect breakfast to start the morning! Come check out this place. The inside has such a cool vibe and staff is great!Vegetarian options: Egg and cheese options and almond milk“
“My partner and I had a lovely dinner here. Food came out fast! The eggplant appetizer (pictured) and the spinach stew were fabulous. The mushroom shawarma was also good but a little rich for my taste. I'm already planning my order for the next time I visit. Also very impressed with the beer list.Nice people.Would love to see risers on the clear chairs because the seat to table ratio was a little off.“
“This gem is my go-to cafe. The food and drinks are delicious and they have healthy and unique options. It is very clean, cute, and they play good music. The staff and owner are very friendly. It's a great cafe for reading/working as it doesn't get too loud.“
“First of all, I don’t know how it took me this long to review Carmines after years of coming here. This place is an absolute gem. The food here is absolutely incredible and this location has probably the best Italian sub in the whole universe. Just make sure you get it with the cucumber relish and toasted, and you will not be disappointed. Customer service is absolutely on point and you know you’re going to get something good to eat when the man who owns the place is working in the kitchen every day. ??“
“Serg & Evelina have created my favorite little-known coffee shop and I almost do not want to write this post and blow up my spot. My husband and I go here as often as we can. It is so nice to feel like a part of a neighborhood and community. We stumbled upon Bikeeny and are so happy we did.“
“They have lots of interesting dishes that you don’t usually find in a sushi restaurant in the US. The location is also great, with lots of restaurants and pubs nearby. They also have metered street parking nearby.Parking: Paid street parking from Mon/Sat during the day. Evenings and Sundays are free.“
“The ice cream is superb. So creamy and flavorful. The prices are reasonable and there are plenty of flavors to choose from. I prefer a chocolate based ice cream, and they are all delicious. In warmer weather there are tables out front to eat at. In colder weather there is seating on the inside that is comfortable and clean.“
“Great tasting lobsters and lobster sandwiches. Best lobster bisque in the world--seriously. Seafood chowder also very good. We always go here for the lobster special, which is reasonably priced. Where else in Boston can you get 2 lobsters and a bowl of mussels for less than 50 bucks? This place rocks.“
“Only just realized I've been coming here for 10+ years but have yet to leave a review. Small, family owned business with love & effort put into everything coming out of the kitchen. Great spot for breakfast & lunch during the week. Highly recommend a breakfast sandwich in the AM or a spicy pork plate for the afternoon! Love supporting Bonne Chance Cafe, thanks ya'll.“
“This is my number one spot to go. The people who work there are so kind and so knowledgeable and really into growing and developing their fantastic business. They work so hard and they strive for excellence and making their customers happy. That’s why they have returned customers. I love this place. The quality of the drinks are above the moon!!! Thanks D and B! They deserve the best because they work so hard and everything is fresh and they love their customers and it shows“
“I recently savored a delectable meal at Boston Shawarma, having chosen their combo platter. The meats were seasoned to perfection, offering an explosion of flavor, while the hummus provided a luxuriously creamy counterpoint that really brought the dish together. The fries deserve a special mention – they were flawlessly crispy and a fantastic accompaniment to the entrée. It's clear that Boston Shawarma's commitment to quality and meticulous attention to detail is what makes it truly exceptional. I am looking forward to indulging in another mouthwatering experience there soon!“
“Julia is one of the kindest and most thoughtful human beings I have ever met and her hazelnut iced lattes, breakfast sandwiches, and baked goods are delicious! It feels like stopping by a family member or close friend’s home every time we pop in. Our dog learned the words “coffee shop” because of Julia and her treats. Well worth any wait when they are super busy- Julia genuinely cares about you and your order no matter how many customers she has!“
“Jinny’s has been our favorite pizza since they opened. Everything is amazing from the pizzas to the appetizers and the service is 10/10. The pepperoni pizza and caesar salad are a must! The ‘mike’s hot honey’ is great added on to the pizza. Don’t forget to add a buttermilk ranch dippin’ sauce for the crust. We do both dine in and take out. Seating is pretty limited so plan ahead. No reservations. Worth the wait! They move quick too.“
“We were welcomed in and they made excellent suggestions me and my son home from college. Also I left my wallet behind ( never happened to me in 56years) They had it for me with a smile and over $400 cash. Left a nice tip and I thanked them , I told the I would leave a review. Genuinely nice people work hereThe coffee drinks were amazing. Go there it's right behind Pho Hoa same bldg very nice space .“
“Edit/Update:Loved former Creations and now love Rise and Shine even more! The baristas are so friendly and remember that my kiddos love the blueberry muffins lol. Love their lattes with the seasonal syrups!Great spot to grab a coffee for myself and a smoothie for the kiddo!“
“For my first visit, I tried the signature chocolate chip walnut cookie that started it all. $5.25 was quite expensive for a cookie, but the cookie was very heavy. I liked the crispiness of the outside and the thick, gooey center. The walnut taste was distinguishable but subtle. I definitely recommend heating up the cookie to melt the chocolate chips because it tasted better that way. However, it also tasted fine at room temperature. The inside had a cool mural of Boston but no seating. However, there are seats outside, which would be nice in the summer. It was empty when I went, so service was fast.“
“I have walked by this establishment everyday to/from work for the past three weeks and always notice how busy it is on Friday night’s. Tonight I decided to stop and have drinks along with dinner after a very stressful work week. This place is truly a hidden gem.I started out with an espresso, martini and a “Snack” Deep Fried Olives with blue cheese. Delicious!!Next, I had an “Appetizer” Pork Belly with citrus marmalade. Not disappointed!!Another expresso martini and ordered Expresso rubbed salmon with arugula and maple glazed sweet potatoes for my main entree. One of the best salmon dishes I’ve ever had. I saved half of the meal so I could have dessert. Ordered tiramisu and another espresso martini. Excellent food and drinks. The atmosphere was very soothing, and a great way to unwind after a long week at work. Mary Beth, my server, was very attentive to my needs, and the bartender, the other staff, are constantly working as a team, to make sure their patrons were well taken care of.By far one of the best experiences, I’ve had so far in Boston area and highly recommend a couples night out, a solo dining experience, or coming as a group. I will definitely be back before I head out of town.“
“Mangia Monday is one of the best food deals in the city- $80 for 2 salads and 5 full sized pastas for 2 people. The food is always incredible- amazing flavors and textures. The eggplant parm is one of those dishes you think about for days. Phil was our server tonight and he was so great. He was knowledgeable, kind, and didn’t make us feel rushed at all. Great vegetarian options, they always are very accommodating for dairy and gluten allergies. Highly recommend!“
“Great brewery with a fairly small selection on tap, but always a well curated one. The space at Bow Market isn’t huge but there’s usually a spot open. The bartenders are very friendly and kind. They don’t serve food but you can order food from any place literally steps away and eat it there. The trivia on Monday nights is really fun and well thought out!“
“Their honey maple tables, spacious rooms, and plush seats are a haven for anyone who appreciates a genuine speakeasy for enjoying a good drink with friends. As someone who doesn’t drink, their juniper belt is my go-to, and it is zesty. The distillery itself is in a pleasant part of town, as the staff is so friendly and wants you to truly enjoy yourself.“
“So I tried this place a few months back and I took one bite and gave it to a homeless guy. However I decided to give it a 2nd shot. I must say very impressed. The guacamole and rice needs more flavor but overall the rice bowl was on point. There was only one guy working (which I feel is a little bit of abuse especially were this is located in the heart of symphony & Berkelee College.) The line was out the door and the guy was handling online orders, in store orders and ringing them up. He deserves a raise for real! He did all of this with such ease and greeted us all with a smile.“
“This place is an absolute vibe. They have the best Milk Tea/Boba I have ever had, and their mochi waffles are delicious. Strawberry Cheesecake waffle and Coconut Brown Sugar Boba is my favorite! I first visited about a year after COVID when it was counter service only and you couldn't sit down. I immediately fell in love and now I stop in whenever I can. Now that it's open again it's even better. The staff is amazing, so friendly and they will remember you by name! It makes me so happy to see this place continue to thrive and grow.Oh, and they're also car people. So from one fellow gearhead to another, cheers! A must try place in Boston if you love Boba or dessert ❤️“
“Amorino is supposed to be a Boston classic, and it lived up to the expectations too. Their simple menu allows you to pick up to 3-5 flavors for your gelato, and their masterful staff sculpt a flower for you with the ice cream, allowing you to go in layer-by-layer.“
“My husband and I hosted our rehearsal dinner at Break Rock Brewing. It was an absolute hit! We are huge brewery people and this place was right up our alley. It is right on the boardwalk of the beautiful Marina Bay with stunning views of the marina. They reserved an area for us where we had plenty of room. They don't serve food, so we had our dinner catered by Fat Cat right around the corner. Their beers are delicious and their staff is super friendly. The planning process was incredibly easy and their event manager was very responsive and transparent throughout the entire process. They also had a live DJ and arcade games which were a huge hit! Highly recommend hosting your event here!“
“Nice spot, great vibe. We sat at the bar on Friday evening and were greeted by 2 very nice bartenders. The calm chowder and calamari were fine. We decided to share the seared cob. It was just ok. Not a lot of taste. It was too thick for my liking. The fixings were a bit too funky. I don't think the value is that frigate money.“
“I got the non-dairy Dole Pineapple in a cup with a cone. It was very refreshing! My daughter enjoyed the rainbow with sprinkles. My girlfriend got a frozen yogurt coconut caramel with sprinkles. We sat inside and also enjoyed the A/C. Then we sat outside and it was nice. We only day inside from being hot as we walked around for a while at the Stone Zoo for $12 ?“
“I really like this mall. It has shoppable stores for every budget and it’s bright, spacious, and clean. I’d check out the directory before going so you know where to head. Parking is expensive. You’re definitely paying for the convenience. Overall 4.5 stars“
“Absolutely delicious and authentic style Mexican food. I had the TACOS BIRRIA my girlfriend had the tempura shrimp tacos. We are from NY and here staying at an Air BNB up the road , if we lived local we would be ordering from here at least once a week ! Highly recommend.“
“Tatte is probably my favorite restaurant. I am usually really happy with what I order, and a few dishes (shakshuka and croque madame, nutbox, I'm looking at you) are my favorite foods anywhere. I have some constructive criticism though.First, ditch the round cafe tables. One plate takes the whole table, leaving no space for your friend to eat comfortably with you. Forget about setting your laptop up while eating.Second, some of the desserts need adjustments. Overall, anything lemon based needs more lemon and less sugar. When I bite into a lemon meringue tart or a pavlova, I expect to taste a bright, citrusy, refreshing curd. It's missing here - all I get is the intense sweetness of meringue.Overall, Tatte is great! Keep doing awesome things. Visitors should be sure to try the lemonade (best anywhere), the brownies (with nuts!!), and the shakshuka. Pear tarts and (when in season) stone fruit gallette are always a win!“
“Lobster roll was fantastic, the clam chowder was excellent, and the lobster bisque was a debbie downer. (No flavor nor pieces of lobster present ?). Service was quick, parking is bare minimum behind the building close to 7 spots. Seating was very tight maybe 6 tables. If you wish to purchase a live lobster you can choose it out the tank. When I return to Boston, I will return for more menu items that struck my interest.“
“Amazing experience! It's been a while I've felt so welcomed at a restaurant. I went for my birthday and the manager & staff were very attentive and kind to our party. The food was amazing, playlist was on point, and the vibes were immaculate. I'm so glad I chose to celebrate here! Looking forward to coming back.“
“FRIDAY 3/8/24. The Manager Gene call me was very apologetic. Gave a refund for my orders. It’s a very popular seafood restaurant and unfortunately things happen. The big thing is they acknowledge the problem and took corrective action to make me a satisfied customer. OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE!Friday 3/1/24 I drove 29 miles for 42 minutes to get Seafood from this restaurant. A few weeks ago I ordered 2 3lbs live lobsters, because I couldn’t get live Lobster that size at my local seafood stores. This time I wanted to try to fried seafood. I ordered the skipper’s platter (fish, shrimp & calamari). Also order a 3 pound live lobster. I wanted to substitute the calamari with scallops. Of course, I was informed that it be extra charge. That was not an issue for me. When I drove back home, realize that they upgraded the skipper’s platter to the captain’s platter (fish, shrimp, scallop’s & clam bellies). The shrimp was delicious. The fish was bland - no taste. The scallop’s was huge, but when I bit into one of them got a mouth full of sand. Try another one same results. My total bill was $142.49 tip included. I try calling on 3/2/24 (Saturday Morning) to speak with manager/supervisor no one was available. The service was excellent. Also the atmosphere was good. My server (Mike) was outstanding. Not Happy with my Meal!“
“We had a blast trying candle pin bowling for the first time! Such a cute and friendly establishment. Alexander and Jim were great hosts and very helpful as it was our first time. Our waitress was very kind too. Yummy flatbread pizza and drinks. The bowling is fun, fast paced, and so unique. You learn self scoring and they provide the scoring sheets & pencils. You can get food and drink delivered to your bowling area. I highly encourage reservations but they are also flexible with walk in if you arrive early enough! Would totally go back and definitely recommend for some different and fun.“
“Maria's Taqueria has very cost-effective and tasty tacos in a convenient location! Portion sizes are great as well. Would definitely consider getting tacos, taco salad and burritos from here and the best part is that it wont break the bank! The service is nice and quick. Atmosphere has room to grow.Food - 12/20Service - 6/10Atmosphere - 3/10“
“Busy but delicious. Had a walnut rose and pistachio croissant, both were delicious. The best part though was their house Latte - honey and halva flavour - I came back again the next day for another. Very busy, couldn’t find a place to sit but was happy to walk 3 minutes to Boston Common in the sunshine.“
“Go 2 Spot for a night out! They have ample games to play at tables. Even while hosting food trucks, they still allow you to bring in food.Just know that if there is a live band there is no ping pong. Unfortunate because this is one of only late night spots with a ping pong table.“
“I've only been here once. The atmosphere was cheerful and the staff was very friendly and accommodating - so accommodating, in fact, that I think they stayed open a little past their closing time to take and make our order. We didn't realize we walked in after they had closed, I guess they just forgot to lock the door. They have a great variety and the menu has a lot to offer.“
“Our server was very sweet and very prompt. All my requests to exclude specific ingredients were met. I got the Wagamama Salad with tofu and my partner got the Spicy Pork Ramen and they were both great. We understand that the food here isn't authentic, but wanted to try it and still thoroughly enjoyed it!“
“I recently visited this bagel shop and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of their bagels. The bagel I ordered was perfectly baked – crunchy on the outside and delightfully soft and chewy on the inside. However, the limited seating space meant that I had to wait a bit before finding a place to sit down. Despite that, the cozy atmosphere added to the charm of the place. Overall, I enjoyed my experience and would definitely recommend it to fellow bagel enthusiasts.“
“We grab dinner with family at Alba. The restaurant was dim to create an ambiance and waiters were attentive and checked in on us frequently.Grilled Octopus - The octopus was well seasoned and tender. Very easy to cut and was big enough to share with 6 people. Highly recommend.Semolina Crusted Calamari - This dish also comes with fried banana peppers. The flavours of the banana peppers compliment very well with the calamari.Braised Short Rib Gnocchi - A bit on the salty side but still very delicious. The portion was big enough I have enough leftover for lunch the next day.“
“Great Irish Bar! We stopped on our way back from seeing the Queen concert at TD Gardens. It was late so the kitchen had closed. We're not from the Boston area, but we felt really welcomed. Live music had left, but the music on playtunes was great! The bartender, was so friendly. My only regret is that this bar isn't where we live. When we come back to Somerville, Sally O'Brien's is a warm & friendly bar. A must stop! Thank you.“
