“If you love Irish pubs, then you will be home. Great service! I only gave 4 stars on food because it was salty. I didn't notice it while eating, it was much later when I was thirsty and drinking a lot of water before bedtime.Parking was a bit challenging.“

“Another excellent place for families with young children, and vegetarian members (who are ok seeing lots of meat dishes at other tables). We came here for lunch on a public holiday. The place was packed but we didn’t wait more than 10 minutes. The hostess was very efficient and the transition to being seated went very smoothly. The bar is also an option while you wait.We had a variety of dishes: grilled fish with mashed potatoes and butternut squash; short ribs with mushrooms and mashed potatoes; fried chicken breasts with fries. All the food was well prepared and tasted very good. The service was also good. Absolutely no friction or reason to ask twice during our visit.Final bill $100 for 2 adults and 2 children, including 2 beers, and a shareable dessert. I think this is reasonable for the service and quality given today’s grocery prices.“

“Friendly staff, including folks I know from High School, relaxed atmosphere, and tasty pub food. Highly recommend the BLT plate, and their Burgers are delicious. Definitely get their sweet potato fries, those things are addictive. Can be a bit busy at times, but it’s a down to earth local bar/pub. Good for a night with that family, or watching the Pats. They also have a large variety of drinks and spirits. And they will occasionally have live music on the weekends (local bands)Kid-friendliness: I see a lot of families come in for lunch on the weekends. Pretty chill place for families, and staff our friendly.“

“If you walk in here, does everybody know your name? Puh-hah! OK. OK. Yea. I know. I know. On the scale of funny, that was some low-hanging 80s-referenced fruit. Could have come up with something more clever. But I am spinning on Irish coffee! Man that stuff is great!“
“Hi! I am the new owner here and it is now Cafe Martin West Street and we are open every day at 11am. So glad to here of the great reviews of late (we opened here Feb 2022) and sorry for some of the not as great ones - we do have an off night here and there. Hope to see you soon and feel free to pop over to our google page for more info!“

“Thank GOODNESS for the Bartender here. This gentleman takes in food orders by phone WHILE serving the patrons at the bar. I am editing my review because it looks like the waitstaff has changed and the service has gone down a bit. BEWARE of the waitress; oblivious to ppl who are not "eating in" AND has no clue as to orders being called in. She will watch you, but won't acknowledge your existence. Either way, Great location in Brighton Center. Great food with great portions and the drinks were refreshing. Great quality Pub to stop in and eat, drink & be merry. The bartender WILL take care of you*“

“I was looking for a down to earth spot to take my kids, The Bebop had a little bit for everyone. We were in and out quickly but not rushed. There was some great live music and the service was efficient. The artwork on the walls was interesting and if when I looked just a little I found photos of more than a few famous faces I knew.“

“Exactly what you would want out of an Irish bar. Great Irish menu offerings like shepherds pie, bangers and mash, curry, fish and chips. The guiness on draft is at the right temp and poured perfectly and the ambience is typical of an Irish pub. Clean, reasonable prices.“

“Very noisy but definitely with having dinner here!! Excellent fish and chips and wonderful fries that were crispy outside and fluffy inside. The side dish of “mushy peas” was in no way mushy and worth a trip over just for the peas, frankly. Small but nicely curated draft beer list. Have the fish and chips! But the burger was also fantastic.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian shepherd’s pie—didn’t try it this time.“

“we came here after visiting the aquarium, we were the first ones in as soon as they opened! we had a great experience, we loved the buffalo cauliflower. i enjoyed the veggie burger, it was nice to see somewhere still serving veggie patties rather than fake meat. i liked the twist of making it almost like a caprese sandwich. it was interesting and unique. my boyfriend enjoyed his buffalo chicken wrap and his guinness beer. he said he hadn’t had a guinness that good since he visited ireland a few years prior. our server was very kind and attentive!“

“Went for a quick lunch and sat in a booth, across from the bar. The food and prices were great. The service, from the bartender, was good and friendly. The bathroom was actually pretty clean. I had a very good pastrami sandwich with French Fries and my guest had a nice Irish Stew. Would definitely recommend and return. ???“

“A bar as comfortable as a well worn pair of shoes. A chill vibe and excellent food!Oysters were plump and fresh, their Asian prep is great: yuzu soy, ginger and wasabi. Very tasty! Their house cocktail sauce is good too.The Smoked Seafood.Chowder was a surprising standout! Chock full of smoked fish and in a "not too rich" cream base, this isn't an overly thickened chowder and one of the best chowder I've had.Lobster Roll is very good and well priced. Not too overly dressed and LOTS of minced lobster, topped off with a strip of bacon. Seems to be a P-Town thing, bacon on a Lobstah Roll. I'm not mad at it at all! Good sweet potato fries, the harissa sauce can use more harissa. The CURRY FRIES are legit!Good beer and whisky selection.“

“Great Irish Bar! We stopped on our way back from seeing the Queen concert at TD Gardens. It was late so the kitchen had closed. We're not from the Boston area, but we felt really welcomed. Live music had left, but the music on playtunes was great! The bartender, was so friendly. My only regret is that this bar isn't where we live. When we come back to Somerville, Sally O'Brien's is a warm & friendly bar. A must stop! Thank you.“

“Such a gem! Finally stopped by for cocktails and a light bite the other night and Porter Belly’s exceeded my expectations! Prices are extremely fair with generous portions and high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable. Will definitely be back more often!Vegetarian options: Tomato soup was delicious!“

“There ! I've said it. Hope you're happy, Peter O'Malley. I've resisted yelping the Plough for years because I like being able to get a seat there for a pint or two or maybe more. It's so comfortable as it is - because it is just a pub. But wait, think a one lane bowling alley with tables down the side facing the bar with someone in overalls playing something 'grovin' at the end while you chill. The there's the Cuban you can't get enough of to go with the black and tan. Add the locals, more music, Mary, the brews, weird specials and it doesn't get better. Get over the bathroom, it looks like that because it is that. Yeah, sure I'll have another.“

“This is an awesome neighborhood bar. Most of the patrons are locals, Irish, and speak some Gaelic. However, everyone that comes to this bar is immediately welcomed as family. It's not uncommon for the regulars to strike up friendly conversations with visitors. Just a heads up, JJ's is cash only so bring some cash or be ready to use the ATM at the back of the bar.“

“What else is more perfect on a rainy than going into an Irish pub and pretending that you're a million miles away? Eugene O'Neill's is NOT that precious, piped in Irish Rovers (don't get me wrong....I love a good unicorn tale) music, with a smattering of apostrophe'd food selection names on the O'Menu. This is a solid, finely vetted menu with amazingly good food, even better Bloody Mary's, and staff who are lovely. And I use that word intentionally. Fish and chips were light, fries AMAZING (simple and crunchy and with malt vinegar? Kooky delicious). The buffalo tenders were on the small side-which I prefer- not too spicy and cooked perfectly. The house salad super fresh and it deducted any calories from the tenders, obviously. The Reuben was grilled, and I mean GRILLED! Look at it! My husband is a borderline reuben snob and he breathed it in. He ordered sweet potato fries, but it accidentally came out w regular. Because the fries are so delicious as is, it was no problem. But then the plate of sweet potato fries appeared and they were glorious. Ridged, fried crisp and perfectly. Just lovely people at EO's. We were there on a Friday at 12:30pm, very quiet, dark wood (I mean, Irish pub) and cozy. I saw a flyer for a monthly book club that happens, and other neat events, as well. Def check out this wonderful place....I promise that you'll feel as if you've been there a thousand times before!“

“Tasty wings, crisp salads, and friendly service.I've ordered their buffalo wings for takeout several times but wanted to try something different. We both had buffalo chicken salads -- one was grilled and the other was fried. Note: There was noticeably more chicken with the fried order -- the waitress shared the salad was most often served with fried tenders which may explain the difference. Nonetheless each salad was well portioned/filling and the ingredients were fresh! We look forward to lunching here again soon!!!“

“The service was great! Our waitress was very attentive! I loved how much bacon they used on the loaded potato skins, but the cheese was a little off. Not bad, just off. Maybe use a sharper cheddar or a blend of some kind? I would still order it again, though. We also got the chicken quesadilla and that was awesome! Nice and fat! Lots of everything inside! Two others got the stake tips and raved about them! Both mashed potato and fries were delicious! I got the chocolate cake and my wife got the Oreo cheesecake. Hehe! Neither of us wanted to share! There are a few more things I wanna try the next time I go there!“

“Absolutely amazing place to have an event. Had my baby shower here and it was a huge success. Staff was so sweet and food so so good. I'm so glad to add this restaurant on my list of faves. They will NOT disappoint. Than you so much to Sarah and the crew.“
