“Tasty Beef and Guiness Pie, mashed potatoes and carrots. Background music was just at the right level to enable a lively dinner conversation with old friends. Enough screens to glace at the Final Four while not being distracting as we caught up. The Dubliner does the old Kinsale justice! ❤“
“Whats not to love? Great food and drinks and the place feels like home. It is small and cozy and a great place for sunday brunch where they play live music (a good volume, not loud) with no cover fee. Go on and support this pub. Great for families with young children, too.“
“Solid fish and beet salad dinner. Really appreciate their proper style of fish batter - light and crisp. Popped in for an early Saturday night dinner, and I'm glad we got there early as it filled up fast. Strong drinks, great pub food options, and a bustling atmosphere.“
“Atmosphere was nice. Live music nice. Lunch fish and chips is one fish. I think at dinner they give you two fish but the price is more. $13 at lunch and $19 for dinner. Would have been nice to specify as I would have ordered the dinner portion for lunch. Salad was good.“
“There ! I've said it. Hope you're happy, Peter O'Malley. I've resisted yelping the Plough for years because I like being able to get a seat there for a pint or two or maybe more. It's so comfortable as it is - because it is just a pub. But wait, think a one lane bowling alley with tables down the side facing the bar with someone in overalls playing something 'grovin' at the end while you chill. The there's the Cuban you can't get enough of to go with the black and tan. Add the locals, more music, Mary, the brews, weird specials and it doesn't get better. Get over the bathroom, it looks like that because it is that. Yeah, sure I'll have another.“
“You would never expect this to be such a cool restaurant from the outside, it is sort of hidden in a parking lot behind some other building…. But once you walk in the door you will love the charm and warmth. Everything about dinner was perfect. We had mussels, burgers, fish & chips, short rib pie and they the bread pudding desert. The service was outstanding…. Cannot beat a good waitress who brings a great attitude and had awesome recommendations. We will be back soon!“
“First time visiting Boston, this place was recommended. I've visited a lot of Irish pubs but this one stands out as not trying to out shamrock everyone. It's old school and it's cool with the men in white shirts and ties, hardwood bars, dim lighting and great seating layout. We both had fish and chips and I had a cup of chowder. Food was excellent. My wife said it's the only fish and chips she's ever had that was better than mine. Service was good considering they were covered up busy. As a rule we don't eat twice at a location while on vacation but this one is tempting to return to. Prices were very reasonable for a larger city. I honestly expected to pay double what we did. Highly recommended if you're looking for what an Irish pub is supposed to actually function like.“
“The Irish Village has always been a great place to have quality pints at an affordable price and lots of fun to be had. Though it is a local pub with a wonderful group of regulars the doors are always open to everyone. Recently, The Village has opened a cool new back room that will feature live music, pub quiz, open mics, and karaoke. There will truly be something for everybody to enjoy. So please come on down!“
“Went for a quick lunch and sat in a booth, across from the bar. The food and prices were great. The service, from the bartender, was good and friendly. The bathroom was actually pretty clean. I had a very good pastrami sandwich with French Fries and my guest had a nice Irish Stew. Would definitely recommend and return. ???“
“note: cash only! interior is dark with wooden booths and stools, making for a cozy but lively pub, but one where you can still have conversations with some friends. drinks were pretty good, with a wide selection of beer and cider, and the bartender was quick and efficient.“
“The Guinness Stew was Fabulous and the Shepherds Pie was also Wonderful. The Waitress we had was pleasant, sweet, patient and efficient. This was our first time eating here and it will not be our last. It was a great way to celebrate St. Paddy's Day. Everyone in the restaurant was happy and we could not have had a better experience“
“This restaurant is 30 years old. I love this pub. It is family owned and all I can say is the food is delicious and staff are friendly. I really enjoyed my steak tips with eggplant fries! Who knew eggplant fries could taste so good!? Wings were fresh and good and dessert was Irish soda bread with whiskey sauce! Yum! Love the pub ambiance. I look forward to returning soon!“
“Still delicious bar food and great service. The chowder here is better than legal's, just my honest opinion. The delmonico steak was delicious with fries and a salad and my son absolutely loved his nachos. Still a good food & bar place in the community with an old school Boston feel“
“Fantastic atmosphere & Service. Food was delicious, freshly cooked. Definitely try this bar out as you won't be disappointed. Went in as strangers, left as friends. Looking forward to our next visit when we are back. Thank you John, Bar Staff, waiting Staff, chef & the lovely Barney for a wonderful experience ?.Paula & Jack ??“
“Such a gem! Finally stopped by for cocktails and a light bite the other night and Porter Belly’s exceeded my expectations! Prices are extremely fair with generous portions and high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable. Will definitely be back more often!Vegetarian options: Tomato soup was delicious!“
“Such phenomenal food and great prices and super friendly staff. We got the surf and turf, shrimp scampi, potato skin appetizer, and tiramisu for dessert. The seafood was incredibly fresh and huge portions. The surf and turf had plenty of lobster meat as well. Highly recommend all dishes.“
“A bar as comfortable as a well worn pair of shoes. A chill vibe and excellent food!Oysters were plump and fresh, their Asian prep is great: yuzu soy, ginger and wasabi. Very tasty! Their house cocktail sauce is good too.The Smoked Seafood.Chowder was a surprising standout! Chock full of smoked fish and in a "not too rich" cream base, this isn't an overly thickened chowder and one of the best chowder I've had.Lobster Roll is very good and well priced. Not too overly dressed and LOTS of minced lobster, topped off with a strip of bacon. Seems to be a P-Town thing, bacon on a Lobstah Roll. I'm not mad at it at all! Good sweet potato fries, the harissa sauce can use more harissa. The CURRY FRIES are legit!Good beer and whisky selection.“
“My husband and I went for brunch on Sunday morning. It's a little out of the way for us but I wanted to try the poutine as I'm from Quebec. I haven't found a real poutine here in Massachusetts. This was the best I've had in the U.S. The fries were delicious and the cheese curds were perfect. We also tried the short rib hash which was also delicious. I had a bloody Mary and it was awesome. We'll definitely be returning. Brittany, the bartender, was friendly, funny, and provided great service!“
“**Eugene O'Neill's: A Hidden Gem by Forest Hills MBTA**Across the street from the Forest Hills MBTA bus station, Eugene O'Neill's exudes charm and warmth from the moment you step in. My recent lunch experience there was nothing short of delightful. From the get-go, the service at Eugene O'Neill's was exceptional. Attentive and friendly staff made us feel welcome, setting the tone for a pleasant meal ahead. My friend and I opted for classics: a BLT with avocado and a Reuben, both served with steak fries. The sandwiches were a revelation. The BLT, adorned with avocado, offered a refreshing twist on a beloved classic. Meanwhile, the Reuben boasted the perfect balance of flavors and textures, leaving us craving more with every bite. Accompanied by golden, crispy steak fries, each component of our meal was executed flawlessly. What truly stood out, beyond the delicious food, was the ambiance. Eugene O'Neill's possesses an inviting atmosphere, making it an ideal spot for a casual lunch or a relaxed evening with friends. The cozy interior and welcoming vibe added an extra layer of enjoyment to our dining experience.Overall, Eugene O'Neill's surpassed expectations in every aspect. From the impeccable service to the mouthwatering fare, it's evident why this establishment is a local favorite. As for me, I'll eagerly be back for more culinary delights and memorable moments at Eugene O'Neill's. Highly recommended.“
“Went for trivia night. Got the last table it the way back. It was hard to hear the questions back there but it was an overall fun experience. My queso dip arrived cold but they fixed it without any problems.Vegetarian options: YesWheelchair accessibility: No“
“This is what a Dive Bar is supposed to be. Cash only, one pool table, Hella strong drinks, and all the locals. No food, but they allow you to bring your own, or get delivery. Always someone there that will do a shot with you. Fun spot to start, or end your night out.“

“We had a great visit. Server, ugh can't remember his name... (long-haired guy with a great smile), was super attentive and accommodating as we had concert tickets and needed help to expedite. Great setting with delicious food, chicken blta was first rate. Beers delicious! Very pleased. Thank “
“Food was wonderful! Plenty of flavor and cooked well. I highly recommend the philly sandwich or any of the flatbread pizzas. The service was better than I’ve experienced at many restaurants - attentive and made sure we had everything we needed.“
“I will say this place could be the best Irish bar in the states I have ever been! Great vibe and wonderful staff! Getting to watch a GAA match and have one of the best pints of Guinness I've had in the States! You cant beat a place that has Tayto crisps while you watch a match! Erin was a lovely staff member and was super kind to me and my parents! Will be back again soon!“

“Want an Irish bar? Here’s your place! Sick decor, a great Guinness pour, Irish curry to die for, and shepherds pie out of this world! Always a good time here.Even the craziness of st Patrick’s day, damn near standing room only, didn’t stop the great service.Parking: Busy nights, the front of the lot can get full by 6pm, wheelchairs/ walkers may have trouble on gravel.Kid-friendliness: Cool beansWheelchair accessibility: Gravel in some of parking lot.“
“The local watering hole nearby changed owners, so all the people I came here to avoid now eat here. Oh well, thats not the restaurants fault.lt's a fairly standard Irish themed bar with a long bar, lots of beer varieties, and a wide food menu selection. Service is either really awesome with an enthusiastic wait staff, or so-so with one specific person who seems inconvenienced to be open.Favorites here include the appetizer combo, Mac & cheese (sometimes Buffalo and other flavors are available seasonally), the Galway burger, the Shepards Pie and the Beef Stew.“
“The food was amazing as well as the service was top notch but the bartender Charbel is the best he was very funny and kept good conversations going. He definitely raised the bar of customer service in my book definitely will be back here for more!!“
“Sit down is excellent food. No problems. But I have had enough of your take out. I will never get it again. Do u save all the old grease and over cook every order of fish and chips?I kept trying but grease filled fries and dead fish is just about enough.“
