The food was special- so delicious that my husband, son and I agreed that this was our favorite restaurant. I love the concept, the philosophy, the staff, the cooking, the flavors, and whenever I can get a double dose of delicious fried plantains it's a plus plus plus! Great for catering and events. Highly recommend this business. Very nice sit down space in and outside. Stop eating bland lunches with too much salt and start ordering healthy well cooked and seasoned hearty meals!!!”

“Bred is typically a lunch option to order at work so I have never actually been in person until last week. Decided to randomly stop in with my partner and the food was delicious! Had the jerk wings, cousin stizz fries and the 504. Definitely a must try!”

“Went today a Tuesday. Service was horrible and they were not busy. Waited 5 minutes before we walked up to a server to ask to be seated. Waited another 10 minutes for water , 10 more to order drinks, then 15 min to order apps. Apps came out before drinks which took about 20min to come out. Food was horrible. I don't know how you can mess up chips with salsa & guac or a chicken quesadilla flavor wise. Chips were overcooked. Quesadilla chicken was under cooked. Birria tacos were pure salt. Pico all we tasted was lime. Ordered a mixed drink but it was all liquor. Asked for a manager & told there was not one available. My birthday dinner ruined. As you can see from the pics we did not finish our main courses because they were not eatable. We did not take them home either. Great presentation but thats about all that was good.”

“Me and my little cousin went to go eat at Mama’s Kitchen! Right when we walk in, we get a “hello!” I was happy they said hello to me because most fast food restaurants don’t even bother saying a hello even when they’re not busy! I got mama special bánh mì! Ít was so flavorful and delicious ? my sweet cousin got a gold coin cake with cheese filling. We got to see how they make the food and the gold coin came freshly made and piping hot! We also shared a sugarcane boba drink! It was so rich and flavorful. It was not watered down at all! Other places I’ve been to had very watery sugarcane. My little cousin couldn’t stop smiling because she loved it so much! + the workers are so kind! They were welcoming, enjoyable to talk to, and always smiled! Food takes a little while since it is going to be freshly made! Definitely my new favorite place and will be a regular at this establishment ?

“The restaurant is very familiar, not at all luxurious but has personality. The attendant, even though he didn't understand English very well, was super attentive. The food was extremely cheap and tasty, I saw that the cook has been at the restaurant for over 30 years, and it is a family business. There is no reason not to give five stars. Everything very satisfactory, I come back every week.”

“Stopped by today. Place is remodeled and clean. They have a few rice options, few meat options, bacalao, empanadas, plantations and cassava ready to go. I ordered a rice and beef plate, empanadas and a side of another rice. Everything was pretty good. Parking on side streets.”

“I was back in Adams Village today (my old neighborhood) and as I crossed Gallivan Blvd, my 4 year old said “mummy!!!!!!! look at the smiley faced balloons!!!” I pulled over and asked the woman at the register if she would be willing to sell me one of the balloons with my coffee order. She immediately cut one off and gave it to my little boy. It made his day, and the wonderful banana hazelnut coffee made mine. ❤️”

“Savin came recommended in a restaurant group so we gave it a try tonight. It was my friend and I with 5 children from 4 to 14. I arrived first with my son and was promptly greeted by Brody (who also waited on us). I explained we had 5 kiddos and inquired if a booth was available. He brought us over to a half booth which was perfect. The booth as well as chairs were very comfortable. I asked if we could have the older 2 girls (both 14) sit at the table next to us (they enjoy doing this). He was so accommodating andhappily set us up. Water was brought over for all of us and he asked if we had any questions on the menu. He said he would give us a few minutes to make our selections and went to get the beverages we ordered. 5 minutes later he came back with drinks and asked if we were ready to order. I got the chicken penne and added shrimp. My friend got the buffalo chicken quesadilla. We usually order 2 items and split them. Both were delish and we really enjoyed both entrees. The older girls got the adult portion max and cheese, which was cavatappi pasta with a ritz breadcrumb. They both said it was perfect consistency and enjoyed it. 2 kiddos got the kids size mac and cheese (cavatappi pasta with cheese) and 1 got the pasta with red sauce. Decent portions for a kids meal. The atmosphere was very nice. The music selection was also great and perfect volume. Brody was absolutely wonderful. He was attentive, but never pushy. Service was definitely a 10/10. This was the first time we have been to Savin but we will definitely be back. We felt the check was very fair for 7 people. (I snapped a few quick pics which really don’t do it justice but…).”

Years back John Moran was the best of the best bartender we celebrated my cousin Danny 50 the upstairs in function room I was born and raised in Fields Corner and frequently ate with a group of Board Hangers and Mudders . Drywall Hanging. I remember the overfill plates of food and my first time ever eating (Ireland) parsnips. Still such a friendly and comfort atmosphere even though I don’t know anyone. Staff Friendly as well as patrons. Really good comfort food . I went St Patrick day one year Corned Beef and Cabbage!!”

“We were staying at one of the hotels near this gem of a spot and were able to conveniently walk to it. It was super easy to get a table for 4. Loved the quiet atmosphere and warm vibes. The drinks were good. The 4 of us each ordered something different and all thoroughly enjoyed! Unfortunately, I forgot to take a before we ate photo so quickly snapped these two. We ordered the short ribs which came out not quite as hot as we would’ve hoped. The flavors were good though. The meat was extremely tender. We ordered the pork chop with scalloped potatoes and brussel sprouts. Excellent. My husband ordered the bolognese and enjoyed his as well. We also ordered the chicken Parmesan which was a good size portion, flavorful and hot. Three of the four dishes came out piping hot which is wonderful! Highly recommend this little neighborhood restaurant.”

“I love this place. The food is really good wide range of dishes. It’s just a little difficult if you don’t speak Spanish, most of the workers speak Spanish. The last time I ordered a salad from the one on Blue Hill Avenue they forgot to put my dressing in the bag so I got home and had no dressing!

Parking: Parking horrible there’s probably only two spaces in front of the business on the side street. If you’re lucky you might be able to to get something. I hate to say it most people park but there’s a police station right there.”
