“I gotta tell you, I can't vouch for their cocktails or beer selection yet, but I got some pics of the swanky marble and stainless steel taps and the booze assortment. I did try their clam chowder, and let me tell you, I went back for seconds a week later! It's gotta be the best chowder on the South Shore, no doubt! It's got more flavor and body than the usual Plymouth-area waterfront spots. And those fish tacos are seriously yummy. I scarfed mine down so fast, I forgot to snap a pic! The staff is super cool and passionate about what they do. The place itself has a chill vibe with smooth jazz, veined marble, corrugated metal, distressed wood, and cozy leather. It's a bummer I won't have a regular excuse to go back to this part of Duxbury now that winter sports clinics are winding down!“

“Our server was very nice, but they don’t tell you there’s a 10% “admin fee” for the kitchen workers share of tip? not sure why you don’t just pay your workers more, but that’s besides the point. The view is fantastic, but the pricing for the quality of the food here is interesting... Roughly $60 for what is essentially just a subpar Alaskan Roll and 8 (sandy) oysters. Expected better from the high ratings, but it might be outdated. Probably won’t be coming back.“

“We’ve been visiting Duxbury Beach State Park for a few years and finally decided to grab some food from Blakeman’s. Not sure what took us so long but it was worth the wait. I thoroughly enjoyed my fish sandwich. Not too heavily breaded and the fish was very fresh. The accompanying fries were excellent. My wife was impressed by the taste and size of the lobster roll. Our son enjoyed his chicken fingers and fries and he’s a very picky eater. If you’re just eating at Blakeman’s then the parking is free. Just tell the attendant when you enter the public parking lot next door. Otherwise, if you’re planning to spend some time on the beach and then visit Blakeman’s or vice-versa then the parking is $25 for the 2023 season. The beach and the restaurant are well worth the price of parking.Kid-friendliness: They offer a solid kids menu. “July 2023: the chowder was good, the crab cake had a bad flavor even though it had a lot of meat, calamari was okay. For some reason the oysters were not as good or as plump as before. We got oysters here many times before although it was the first time we stopped by for lunch attracted by the outdoor space with umbrellas and a cool ocean breeze.“

“Had an outstanding meal here back in November - our family live locally and insisted we visit, and I’m so glad they did! Everything from the oyster menu was super fresh and a great way to appreciate the variations between different varieties. Service was friendly, cocktails were delicious, and the Windsor Fries (cooked in tallow and served with a delicious garlic mayo) are genuinely the best fries I have ever eaten. Can’t wait to go back!“

“We went out for a Valentines dinner, and it was great! This was our first time here, and I’m thoroughly impressed. The service was impeccable (shoutout to Craig!), the portions were great, and the food was very yummy. We will definitely be back!“

“September 2023-Don't miss this small local place for great food. There is limited parking but within walking distance of street parking. They have a large bar and booth seating. We didn't have to wait long since it was off season. We both began with the clam chowder. The clams were shredded which we had never had and it made the chowder lovely. Best we had on our vacation. I got the a cod fish Reuben on grilled marble rye bread. It had thousand island dressing and was served with coleslaw and skin on fries. Their dill pickles were homemade. My husband got the brisket grilled cheese with tater tots. It's served with brown gravy to dip the sandwich in. The sandwich was overloaded with brisket, so very filling. Service was great.“

“Get the stuffed lobstahh… need I say more?!? This dish was absolutely amazing! The clam chowder made for a delicious appetizer!I went for a late lunch with some girlfriends, and the restaurant was busy inside, so we opted to sit outside. The server was super nice and friendly, but did not check on us as frequently as we would have liked. The food was absolutely fantastic!Wheelchair accessibility: Restaurant does have a lower level, but it was not open during our visit… they did however allow us to use the restroom on the first floor.“

“The seafood platter for two was awesome had that yesterday. Today had the whole belly clam roll and the hot buttered lobster roll. Both were great but I think the cold mayo lobster roll is better. Now back to Ky and no seafood but I will return next year snd dine here again.“

“I wasn’t expecting the food to be this good. We had the fish and chips and the burger. Tip: Change the regular fries for truffle fries.Shout out to Caeleigh G for doing a great job taking care of us.Request to the restaurant: Give us more than two pieces of bread for two people. The bread is delicious!Parking: We got there at 5:30 PM on a Saturday. We didn’t have issues finding parking.“

“For local ambiance and well-prepared seafood, head to 42° North. Great dishes (and you need a good appetite as the portions are quite generous) are the Atlantic Cioppino, with a really well made tomato broth and variety of shellfish and fish, and the Barcelonan Seafood Paella, also with a rich tomato sauce. They could have better wines and also they lack draft beers and ales, which is the reason I only give them a "4" rating. Go for the food, not the dinner beverages! And, oh, the melted chocolate cake dessert we shared amongst 4 of us - it's also plenty big.“

“Great local restaurant and great deal. WALK TO THE EAST END OF THE RESTAURANT. During a weekday, the other doors were locked. We lucked out and came on 50 cent wing day. Shanty rub is the best choice for wings. They get the skin on the wings perfectly crispy. Awesome place to come from a boat, as you can see the docks. Staff was wonderful.“

“High energy provided by the St Pats 5k runners, and a fabulous D.J. playing base-thumping music while we "chair-danced" and enjoyed an exceptionally tasty supper brought to us by the most pleasant waitress we've had in a long time!!! What a great way for us two "oldies" to feel alive again (and have a delicious meal.) Great job Venus II.“

“I was excited to see they've changed their menu as I was tired of the same old offerings year after year. The two salads we ordered were fresh and delicious. The Caesar was huge, chopped and very garlicky and came with a Parmesan crisp. The second salad was endive, blue cheese, candied walnuts and was large. Dressing on this salad was just ok but salad was nice and fresh. The salmon entree was perfectly cooked and had delicious green beans and sticky rice as sides. The pesto and ricotta baked pasta was absolutely terrible. The pesto wasn't basil pesto but I think was tasteless spinach pesto (I asked the waiter and he had no idea what type of pesto it was). There was barely any ricotta in it and it was dry as a bone. The meatballs that came on the side were good but an odd choice as an accompaniment to the baked pasta (they were in red sauce and pasta was green). They need to get this pasta dish swapped out with another type of pasta entree that isn't over cooked and dry and flavorless. Cocktails are interesting and unusual. Ambiance and service both top notch. We'll be back, I just will order better next time and skip the pasta.“

“Authentic Beautiful Thai flavors Wonderful Caring Hosts Original Family Run business Child Friendly Yet Ethnic flavors. Great location on the way to Cape Cod. We were lucky enough to be looking for Thai food and seeing this restaurant pop up. The food is authentic Thai made by the owners. I had the Tom Yum Soup chicken and it is the best one I have had in my life. The others were Panang curry, Beef Boat Noodle soup and Basil Pad Thai. If the pictures are so good imagine how good the flavors would be. Wish I lived close by so I could eat there every night.“

“Arrived relatively early on a Saturday morning, 9am. The restaurant was half full already and we took it as a good sign. The breakfast menu is huge and we went with the Benedict’s, one traditionaland another with spinach (Benedict Florentine). Both dishes were really well portioned. The potato fries were a little hard for my taste, but the English muffin was perfect. The orange wedge was a nice touch. Our server, Pamela, was friendly and fast. It was worth trying out.“
“Nice little country stoah with some great lobstah rolls, sandwiches, ice creams, coffees, etc. One of the nicest pahts was the grassy picnic areah behind the stoah wheah you could sit in a comfy Adirondack chaiah and eat ya lobstah roll. Definitely recommend if you ah passing thru the Plymouth areah.“

“Went for a late lunch with a friend. We sat outside and enjoyed the view, the breeze, margaritas, and delicious food. We shared a lobster roll, fried haddock & scallops and shrimp cocktail. We both agreed that the fried scallops were the best we’ve ever had- they were cooked to perfection. Service was great.“
“My wife and I dined at Fairview on Easter Sunday and were met with stellar service and served exquisite food. I had a perfectly cooked salmon topped with Maryland crab, and a touch of hollandaise sauce. Moreover, the whipped potatoes and asparagus were superb. Our server Peyton was supported by a number of helpful staff wearing bunny ears. They eagerly hopped to meet our dining needs. As always, The Fairview consistently ranks high on our list for south shore dining. B.Ryan“

“We went to dinner here on a Tuesday night and they were packed which was a great first sign (they must be good if they are that busy on a Tuesday). They still sat us right away. Our waitress was so sweet and attentive to us the whole time we were there. All of the food just blew us away! It was absolutely amazing and so full of flavor. I can not wait to get back over there again“

“Five stars. This place should be turned into a church because the food I was eating tasted like the body and blood of Jesus Christ. Honestly, the people were so sweet too. The guy even gave me a special surprise because of my large tip. Their eyes are thin but the noodles have never been thicker. Again, five stars. And I would definitely recommend for kids. ;)“
“Very very good food and waitstaff. Hostesses and reservations very unhelpful. No attention to creating a welcoming venue with customers needs or requests of any importance. Hire some experienced, maybe older, front of house staff. They currently set a negative tone on a night out.“

“Consistently good food with 'jolly green giant' portions. Good spot to split an entry as they are pricey. Fabulous bar and bartenders. Everyone was so accommodating from 'welcome'. It has a different vibe of a sports bar and a summertime get together after the beach. I will be back!“
“We finally made it to: Polcari's Bridgwaye Inn in Marshfield right on the Water and a great View too, went there for a late Valentine's Day Lunch/Dinner, we started with Mussels with Dipping Sauce and Garlic Bread, also had a big Greek Salad, for our Mains we got: I got the Shrimp Tacos with Onion Rings and the Wife got Baked Scallops with Vegetables, and Potatoes, we also got Dessert too, Strawberry Shortcake, everything was fantastic and delicious, also our Waiter Steve who was recommended by a Customer said he was the best, and boy was he ever, he did a great Job, definitely going back when the Weather is Warmer outside.“

“Best clam chowder I have ever had! This is our 2nd year going for dinner at Cabby Shack. I had the clam chowder in their home made bread bowl and it was delicious. My husband and 3 girls loved their meals. We are definitely coming back again next year from NJ. Our waitress Erica was the best and gave us recommendations that we all loved - 10 stars for Erica!“

“I traveled from Norton, Ma to have their delicious Coconut Shrimp which I also had last summer on vacation. While I’m here enjoying that, I also ordered the Cauliflower Jerk Chicken Pizza. O. M. G. I am so glad I did. I will definitely be traveling again for not just the food but the Caribbean atmosphere on this cloudy gloomy winter day.Parking: Plenty available. “I wasn't sure what to expect because the reviews were so varied but my breakfast was delicious and the service was friendly and impeccable. I got the breakfast tacos. The portion was extremely generous and came with tomato salsa and fruit salad. There seemed to be at least three eggs, with cheese and a corn salsa. I would highly recommend Cafe Nicole.“

“My wife and I dined at Bluefish River Tavern for the first time last night. We sat at the bar and met another couple that was also there for the first time. They were just finishing when we arrived and they said they loved their meal as well as the wait staff. We had the scallops and short ribs and both were excellent! The bar staff were great and very friendly and attentive. We look forward to our next trip to Bluefish River Tavern - very soon!“
