“Raul is AMAZING!! super attentive and gets exactly what you want even if it’s not on the menu! ask for him the next time you’re in. we’re regulars?Kid-friendliness: came in with 2 two year olds— they were super accomadating. thank you!“
“Great food, friendly service. You might think subs, but I've done nothing but work my way through all the great "Spanish" items: tacos, burritos, pupusas, empanadas and chicharron, which is like a super-charged bacon. :) Love their tacos al pastor as well! Also "Salvadoran enchiladas", which might be thought of as deluxe tostadas. Small set of tables to dine there if you want, but I've only gotten mine to go.“
“Celebrating the birthdays of 3 family members, our party of 10 ranged from 4 to 81 years of age. From the moment our waitress, Selesia, introduced herself to us, until we left the restaurant with a hug, her attentiveness and patience was exemplary. The food and ambiance were outstanding. The appetizers, antipasto di Norcino, calamari and bruschetta were delicious. Entrees that we had included the braised short ribs, which was so tender no knife was needed, gnocchi, bolognese and calce di pepe were all thoroughly enjoyed and no "doggie bags" were needed. I highly recommend Il Ponte and we will return.“
“This was such a fun and adventurous activity! The food was delicious, and it was exciting guessing what you were eating. The drinks were excellent, and the servers and host did a great job. The atmosphere looked wonderful, dark room, with small colored lit faux candles.“
“My husband and I went today for my birthday. From beginning to end, it was THE BEST experience! We were greeted by the most friendly hostess. Our server John treated us like we were important. Even though we are just regular people. The food was excellent ? ? ?! The service was even better, if that's even possible! The service. They have this down to a science. They know what they are doing. They all work together to make your dining experience exemplary! We will definitely be back! Thank you for giving me the best birthday ever ?!“
“Buono! You feel the warmth of this BYOB establishment the minute you walk through the door. The owner (Brazilian w/North End restaurant experience) greeted everyone picking up take out or arriving for their reservation. Staff, including the owner, worked as family to take orders, deliver and turn over tables to ensure every request was met. They made an effort to ask and remember our names as we said goodbye (reminded us of the Cheer's intro song). We took it as a sign that 'ran' is in their name and ran to take the first available reservation @ 4:00pm. The restaurant was full by 5:30pm. Given the hard surfaces it's loud, but reminiscent of childhood memories of dinner with my Italian neighbors. We enjoyed warm bread out of the oven w/olive oil & herbs, arancini sampler (one spinach & one bolognese) that were approaching baseball size, short rib gnocchi special & chicken marsala. The red sauce is absolutely delicious, the short rib melts in your mouth and the marsala sauce is one of the best I've had w/tender chicken. Portions are generous. We each took half of our entree home, but ended the evening by sharing an airy, creamy, delicious dessert named after the owner's daughter, Isa, w/coffee.“
“The food here is amazing, like really the food is incomparable to anything else. everything on the menu is 10/10 and the people are so friendly and so kind. They are so charismatic and talkative and make you feel very at home. There’s not enough stars to give them :)“
“Very authentic Italian food. Neapolitan influence to be specific. Generous portions. Good wine and amaro list. Very nice staff (made authentic carbonara & amatriciana for me upon request). Ragu' alla Genovese, gnocchi alla Sorrentina and zucchini blossoms are amazing and definitely unmatched. Bravi! See you again tonight.“
“Been hearing great things about this establishment and they were not wrong ! Tryed detroit style roni and was blown away ! Great crisp on the buttery crust and roni too ! Owner was very personable too as we gad a brief chat. Probably try NY style next time but this detroit style was LEGIT !“
“Party of 4 - we had a 6:30 reservation and were seated promptly. Service was great. Very attentive waiter. All of us enjoyed the apps (eggplant rollatini and brushetta) and entrees. I got the chicken, broccoli and penne in Alfredo sauce and it was so creamy and delicious. Martinis were top notch too - espresso and strawberry lemonade. Highly recommend.“
“Good place with relaxing atmosphere. Most of the dishes with seafood but also they have burgers, dish with chicken and desserts. We got ousters, pasta and burger.Everything was delicious.Workers very friendly. Also they have there separate room for big occasions.“
“I freaken love this place! It’s located in a corner of a Main Street in Saugus so you can’t miss it!! Pizza is always on point, topped with fresh vegetables and the crust is crispy. Tonight, I decided to get the chicken Alfredo with broccoli..oh man! it hit the spot. Tortellini pasta was aldente!! If you are in the area, stop by! They are always busy but food and customer service is always sooo great and most importantly consistent. Prices and portion matches the quality of food .“
“Surprisingly delicious pizza! We had a mushroom pineapple one (my personal favorite), and a pepperoni. Their crust is thin. Rich in cheese. Great tomato sauce flavor. Their service is swift: you order at the counter and sit down. They call your name. Ambiance is traditional Italian American. The fireplace is a nice touch. Family friendly, pleasant atmosphere. Thumbs up!“
“It was a brisk Saturday night and I took the lady out for a dish of pasta. I put on my finest linens and prepared to embark on date night. We arrived at Daniella's. We started with the muscles ??, then I enjoyed the Sunday sauce while the Mrs treated herself to the chix, broccoli and ziti..oh yea and you can't forget the mushroom risotto..mangia!! Dinner was delightful from start the finish.“
“We went to Petrillo’s tonight to celebrate my husbands birthday and the dinner was absolutely fabulous! The food is always delightful we got the Fried Ravioli to start which was amazing, delicious and the sauce is so good! For dinner I had the pollo parmigiana and my husband had the steak tips, both were amazing! And to top it off our waitress Eileen was so sweet and provided outstanding service! It really feels like family! Love the environment!“
“This place is both so comfortable and so classy at the same time! Service is wonderful, the staff members are so very friendly, and the food is delicious! Ava and Kathy made the evening so enjoyable! This is definitely a place for us to visit again!“
“We had reservations for five people at 4:30, prior to a show at the Chevalier Theater. Matteo was behind the bar with Julie. They were both friendly and fun to talk with. The food was excellent and was brought out quickly. Couldn’t ask for a better dining experience.“
“Romantic & cozy atmosphere with great food and attentive waitstaff!! My girlfriend and I came here for an anniversary and mistakenly stayed until they closed (I thought they closed an hour later) and they still allowed dessert to-go and didn't rush us. We both really loved the grilled eggplant special they had! Would definitely recommend for a date night or special occasion.“
“My wife and I went here last Friday night with friends and we all Loved it!! We thought we would have trouble getting a table but that wasn't the case, surprisingly. Because the service and food were both excellent. Our server was great. He made our drinks as well and my wife said her lemon drop martinis x3, were to die for. He brought fresh warm rolls to the table, and we got the octopus and bruschetta appetizers that were very good along with a side Caesar salad for the table. Then ALL our entrées were DELICIOUS! My wife and I both got the chicken parm and she couldn't even come close to finishing hers. The cutlet is nice and thin, and more than half the plate. The red sauce has good flavor w penne pasta. The portions were worth the money. Our friends got the seafood medley, and a marsala dish that were also both very good. The only draw back is the atmosphere and location aren't the best. I really hope this place stays open or finds a little nicer location, because the food and service are Top Notch and well worth it. Give them a try, you won't regret it!! We'll be back soon.“
“Food was absolutely delicious! Paul the owner is hands on with suggestions. If you're looking for authentic Italian cuisine in the North Shore. Paolo's is the real deal. You won't be disappointed, and the portions are generous to say the least.“
“Small intimate cafe, great for coffee and dessert. They also do a multi course tasting delicious. Great for couples and small groups. The food made here, is made with love and passion for food and family. I look forward to warmer weather for outdoor dining.“
“Recently hosted a bereavement meal at Tremezzo for the grandmother. Everything ran very smoothly and the food was excellent. Margie did an incredible job. She was always available to answer any questions or concerns leading up to the function.“
“Amazing experience party of 10 MacKenzie our server and entire team were amazing food was so delicious all out at same time and atmosphere was perfect. We are recommending this dining destination to everyone FABULOUS Thank you for an outstanding experience.“
“This past Saturday, we went to the Drag brunch at Ciao. It was our first time at this restaurant and it certainly did not disappoint! The restaurant has friendly staff who are kind and very attentive. We also met one of the owners who is so nice and wants to make sure all customers are enjoying themselves. The food was delicious and the cocktails were a true craft. They are absolutely beautiful and taste delicious too. We had the banana soufflé, tiramisu pancakes, and fico pizza. We had tried the ooooo bae and mango dragon drinks. We cannot wait to come back!“
“The tasting menu was delicious and the wine pairings perfection. Our waitstaff attentive and knowledgeable and friendly but never overbearing. We are and have been fans of this place since it opened and are thrilled that it remains so good and so popular“
“Debbie and the entire cooking staff are absolutely phenomenal. Hands downs the best Italian food eatery in Massachusetts. I have visited them all and no one’s red sauce, or Alfredo sauce can compare. If I could give it 10 stars I would. Better than any place in the north end. Do yourself a favor and get any dish from this fine establishment you can Thank me later.“
“Eight of us went for dinner last night for the special Lobster Menu posted on their website for Wednesday nights, but unfortunately they no longer offer it. We ordered off the regular menu and everyone enjoyed their meals, so it wasn't a total disappointment. Our waitress and the other staff members were great at getting everyone's meals out at the same time. We asked for separate checks beforehand and our waitress was absolutely fine with it. I definitely recommend Gaetano's! The free parking lot in the back is an added bonus.“
“Alfredo's, a quaint haven for pizza enthusiasts, proved to be an unexpected delight during a casual lunch with my teacher colleagues amid a professional development day. The aroma of freshly baked dough and tantalizing toppings greeted us as we stepped into this unassuming pizzeria, setting the stage for a memorable culinary experience. The star of the show at Alfredo's was undeniably their pizza. Each slice was a canvas of culinary craftsmanship, boasting a perfect marriage of flavors and textures. The crust, a harmonious blend of crispy and chewy, served as the ideal foundation for the symphony of toppings that followed. From the classic Margherita to inventive combinations like prosciutto and arugula, Alfredo's offered a diverse selection to suit every palate. What truly set Alfredo's apart was the generous portion size. The slices were not merely slices; they were formidable wedges of pizza artistry. As a group of hungry educators, we appreciated the hearty servings that left us satisfied and fueled for the remainder of our professional development day. The sheer size of the slices also made sharing a communal and enjoyable experience, fostering a sense of camaraderie among us.The toppings were fresh and vibrant, a testament to Alfredo's commitment to quality ingredients. The tomato sauce, a crucial element in any pizza, exuded a robust, homemade flavor that hinted at a secret family recipe. Cheese enthusiasts would revel in the gooey, perfectly melted mozzarella that adorned each slice, creating a gooey, savory masterpiece. The ambiance at Alfredo's was cozy and unpretentious, reminiscent of a neighborhood pizzeria where locals gather for good food and conversation. The staff was friendly and efficient, adding to the overall positive dining experience. Despite the bustling lunch hour, our orders were promptly taken, and the pizza arrived at our table piping hot—a true testament to Alfredo's commitment to customer satisfaction. While pizza was undeniably the star of the show, Alfredo's did not neglect other essentials. The beverage selection, though simple, complemented the meal perfectly. Refreshing sodas and crisp iced tea provided a delightful contrast to the richness of the pizza. The dessert options were limited but satisfying, offering a sweet conclusion to our savory feast. In terms of affordability, Alfredo's proved to be a reasonable choice for a quick lunch. The combination of ample portions and high-quality ingredients made the pricing justified, aligning with the overall value the establishment offered. In conclusion, Alfredo's is a hidden gem for pizza enthusiasts seeking a delectable and satisfying dining experience. Whether you're a local looking for a new favorite spot or a visitor in search of a memorable meal, Alfredo's delivers on its promise of delicious, generously portioned pizza. As my colleagues and I left the pizzeria with content smiles and satiated appetites, we couldn't help but plan our return to Alfredo's—an establishment that has certainly earned its place among the top pizza joints in town.“
“We stopped in from Indiana based off Google reviews in an attempt to find a good seafood meal. This place did NOT disappoint!!! In fact, potentially ruined us for all seafood moving forward as there is literally nothing negative to say!!! Victor and his family have a wonderful "hidden" gem here! My husband and I placed our order, and Victor came to notify us that his father was on his way from the boats with lobster, and there would be a wait, maybe 15 minutes. Had he not told us, we would have never noticed, as we were more than preoccupied by the amazing calamari, salad and fresh baked bread. The seafood stuffed lobster was mind blowingly delicious, prepared to absolute perfection! Literally one of the best meals we have ever experienced. Will definitely be coming back next time we're in Boston!“
“Everyone has been raving about this place so while I was getting a sticker across the street I went in and got a small Italian. It is very hard to get a real Italian Sub anymore. This sandwich was amazing and their bread tasted very good. I ate half of it there and took the other half home. While I was eating the owner gave me a small piece of Sicilian pizza and a meatball to try out! They make their own meatballs. Both were great. I can't wait to go back and I will definitely be ordering take out from them.Parking: There are a few spots in front. The parking lot is behind the building.“
“The company I work for used Home Town Pizza for a company lunch and the food was so good I decided to call and plan a lunch for my own team. The owner right away took care of me and after giving a budget and an idea of what I was looking for, he made it made it happen and made the process super easy for me. Kept in touch with me, offered a variety of options, the food got delivered on time, checked in to make sure we liked the food and that we had enough, and most importantly, everything looked great, was delicious and the team was happy. I definitely recommend Home Town Pizza and will be using their services again. Thank you again for being so attentive, you did not disappoint!“
“We went here for my birthday dinner on a Monday. We sat at the bar booth. This place was the perfect spot and I will undoubtedly be returning. The owner curates a perfect little safe haven for guests. The music was phenomenal, service outstanding, food to die for, drinks exquisite, and atmosphere classy. My new go to Italian. For apps we got the arancini (must try), wagyu carpaccio (must try), melanzane fritti, for dinner arugula salad, tagliatelle alla genovese (must try), burrata ravioli (must try), and for dessert the apple filled doughnuts (must try). It will be so unbelievably hard for me to return and not order the same exact menu items but I also can’t wait to sample every inch of this menu.Parking: Plenty of parking“
“Absolutely wonderful. I've ordered food from here quite a few times and the family's always enjoyed their pizza and fries. We we coming back from an event and needed food quick- we'd usually go to Brothers for something like that since their stuffs ready and it's better than typical fast food, but they were closing in minutes so we decided to dine in Gallo for our first time. We got seated immediately, they gave us a free little appetizer before giving us some nice bread & oil. Our four dishes came out very quickly and were all delicious. No kids menu but absolutely didn't matter, both kids found different meals they wanted and got good leftovers. Place was clean as a whistle and server was so kind to us. Absolutely will go back more frequently.“
“This little restaurant is incredible. A friend recommended it to me about five years ago. It was about a 50-minute drive from where we used to live to get there. We took the drive to check it out, and we loved the place so much that we continued to make the trip. We moved and now have an hour-and-a-half drive to eat there, yet we still make the drive. If you want excellent food and portions at more than fair prices, check out Nappi's, and I'm sure you'll fall in love as we did.“
“My first time at Bobby C’s and it was delightful. I’ve been living around the corner for a while but I never checked Bobby C’s before and I regret it so badly. The mussels in white wine and garlic sauce was something unexplainable, calamari perfectly fried to keep the tenderness, chicken parmigiana and the stuffed chicken breast was unreal. All unbelievably delicious and flavorful. The drinks were a must, and the big surprise was the to go dessert we took home, we were LITERALLY OMG at every bite. I regret not ask our server’s but if you go there and see this sweet lady with gray short hair and a bright smile, she is the one. She said that the desserts were backed by her and she gave us some biscuits to our little baby pug. Bobby C’s is a gem and it’s been a very long since the last time I felt motivated to write a review but they deserve 10 stars for every second we spent there.Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible“
“Overall a nice dining experience. Food and Service was top notch. I know it is tough on management but the only drawback was a large, extremely loud, party of around 10 people who were more suited for the pub than a fine dining restaurant and they disturbed some of the guests.“
“I hosted a Birthday party of approximately 25ppl. I was in search of catered/trays of Italian food and everyone kept recommending Old Tyme. I had to give it a try. The recommendations were spot on and did not disappoint. I ordered trays of; Shrimp Scampi, Meatballs, Chicken Parm, Sausage Peppers & Potates, Baked Ziti and a salad. All were a hit. The Chicken Parm and Sausage Peppers and Potatoes were the first to go and fan favorites. I would definitely recommend this place and use them for another party. I am ashamed that being a life-long Lynner this is my first time trying Old Tyme BUT it won’t be my last time!!!Thank You for the delicious food!“
“OMG, The italian sub is full and I mean full of top quality meats. If you order a large you can not finish it in 1 sitting. I always thought New Deal in Revere set the bar on Italian subs but Anthonys takes the prize on this one. PS. I heard the eggplant parm sub is also the best you ever had! Worth the drive from any where!“
“Been to Raso's countless times and will continue to do so. It is bustling every night of the week. Perhaps the packed bar is in part due to their broad martini menu (haven't tried a bad one yet). But everything about it is exactly what you want for an easy-going Italian restaurant in Medford. The vibe is comfortable - a friendly crew of staff who will happily recognize regulars, always good tunes in the background at a respectable volume, nice decor but no frills. Parking lot is small and cramped. In the evening, people tend to take their chances and park in the right lane of Mystic Ave, since the lot fills up. Now that I've explained how Raso's passes the vibe check, and implied that you could simply have the time of your life consuming their martinis and nothing else, I'd also like to complement the food. We get the grilled artichoke appetizer every time (sometimes two or three orders of it) and it is fantastically tender, with a light lemony dressing over a bed of greens. We clear the plate every time. Before Raso's, I never gave artichokes a second thought, but now I dream of them. Have legitimately called in a to-go order of just the artichokes. Anyways, great arancini as well, great pasta and seafood dishes, and you can order a breaded chicken cutlet with most entrees, which is nice and crispy, but also huge, so be warned. They're always trying new things with the pizza too - classic kind of crust with a tiny char on the edge. They even have some real Italian desserts, like Spumoni! Some people will say the food is average. I say, if you're looking for some kind of revolutionary experience, you're simply in the wrong place. Raso's experiments within the bounds of a classic Italian-American menu, they do it with class, and the staff are genuine. My humble suggestion is that they don't change a thing. Vivi il Raso's.“
“Entered this place on Friday night and took a seat at the bar. Despite the bustling atmosphere, the bartender promptly welcomed us, acknowledging that she was a bit overwhelmed but assured us she would attend to us as soon as possible. Despite a potential shortage of staff, the bartender remained friendly and attentive, and the food exceeded expectations. I would strongly recommend this place!“
“Pizza's very good thin crust pizza I had got the pepperoni and cheese and both were very good I like the crust I like the cheese that they use the sauce was very good I enjoyed it I also had the buffalo wings the buffalo wings we're pretty spicy I enjoyed it with the blue cheese I recommend it I had delivery I didn't going to the establishment I will be going in there next time and try more items“
“If you think it's too much trouble to make homemade cheese ravioli then go to Bella's for the best cheese raviolis for a great price! They have so many amazing Italian products that it's hard to leave the store without buying lots! The only thing is-bring cash. They do not take credit cards. The advantage is it's keeps costs down. Great prices for great products. Not to mention the friendly and sweet owners who always takes a few minutes to chat with the customers.“
“This is the kind of place you feel great when you walk through the door. Not fancy outside, but walk in and the place was hopping. Great food at reasonable prices and you won't leave hungry. My wife had the Fried Haddock Sandwich which has a great crispy breading and is perfectly fried (and huge). I had the French Onion Soup to start and the Marinated Steak Tips with rice. Both were great and the tips were cooked a perfect medium rare. The pour of the house Chardonay was generous and was tasty. The one negative (not enough to knock off a star) for me was the draft beer choices as there are no local craft beers to choose from, but a 20 oz Sam Adams for $5.50 makes up for it.Not on US1 but still pretty easy to get to. Will be back as the menu choices are extensive and want to try them all.“
“Very surprised and the quantity of the meal since the prices are so reasonable. It was a lot of food. The fig salad and veal saltimbocca were amazing. The veal was thick and the prosciutto in the fig and goat cheese salad was in large fresh pieces. Tried the tiramisu and espresso martinis. Both were yummy. Food was served very fast. Still on our salads when our mains came. My husband ordered the veal stack. It was amazing as the veal was grilled and rested on a bed of greens bordered by small roasted potatoes. We will definitely be returning!“
“We go to Nella's Pizza at least once a week. It's my kid's favorite pizza place. They are by far my favorite non-wood burning stove pizza place. Everyone is extremely friendly and I've never had bad service from them. During the summer they also sell Gelato which is a nice treat on a hot day.“
“I recently went to dine at Sam’s Kitchen and everything from the food, atmosphere and service was excellent! I usually don’t take the time to write reviews, but wanted to do so as to whomever reads this review won’t hesitate to check out Sam’s Kitchen as I did! You won’t regret it and when you do you will undoubtedly return!“
“Fabulous neighborhood bar with really great food. Or should I say fabulous restaurant, with a really great bar. Either way, a fantastic place to visit. Side note, although terrific, the Yukon mashed potatoes have bacon and its not mentioned on the menu. If you have a food allergy, be sure to ask.“
“Ever since I moved to Vermont, I've missed Boston pizza and subs. I found them right here in this small shop. I ended up with two huge cheese slices and an Italian cold cut. I ate it all. No regrets. The owner told me to take my time as she delivered a bag for leftovers. Not needed. No regrets. This is pizza that you don't stop eating when you're full. It's that good. And the sub -- perfection.“
“The level of service was exceptional. Our waiter, Alan? Was perfect. All staff that addressed the table were professional, yet friendly.Paul, our sommelier, elevated the night to a level that most strive for but few achieve. He made our night. The food quality, prep, timing and quantity were spot on.Tuna tartare was so good.Rib eye and aged sirloin two of the best cuts ever and Pittsburgh style was a game changer. For sides we had a baked potato, garlic spinach, roasted potato and Italian style corn and all were very good. Solid 5 star night all around.“
“Another great collab with Visit North of Boston , this time to Davio's Lynnfield .That tuna was AMAZING, table side cheese grating is a must, steak was super tender and look at all those desserts. And now the Affogato is the new trend, and I am on board.More to come...Featured:Davio’s MeatballsTuna Tartare, Avocado, Citrus Ponzu, Davio’s Herb Pasta ChipsSampler of Spring Rolls — One of Each Roll Chicken Parm, Philly Cheese Steak and Buffalo.8 oz 55 Day Prime Aged Strip Steak with David Bieber’s Crispy Onion RingsAffogato — Chocolate, Hazelnut Gelato, Chocolate, Caramel, Hazelnut BiscottiBaked Alaska – Red Velvet Cake, Strawberry Gelato, Cream Cheese, Berry Coulis“
