“Been going to TJ's since 1999. Been gaming since 1994. Been to alot of game shops over the years and none compare to here. Unlike most stores it's huge and you never have that crammed in feeling. They even have private rooms and spare rooms for any type of game you wanna play whether it's card games, board games, dnd, etc... they have the space for it all. On top of it they have an amazing kitchen. It's got fair prices and a huge variety of food, coffee, and desserts so you don't have to rush out because you wanna eat. They got it all covered“

“I love soft serve ice cream and probably have part stock or a college tuition worth of food and ice cream spent over my lifetime here. And since I was a kid and winning a little league game meant a trip for the winners and that was 35years ago and I still believe the same family has owned this spot and made it great and a DQ that is open all year round. This is probably the best Dairy Queen around not that thereParking: There own lot probably 30 spotsWheelchair accessibility: On first floor and there are handicap parking spots“

“It's an all year round ice cream shop and more. How can you go wrong. They've enclosed the patio area since I was last there (many years ago), and it protects from those cold winter days. “Seems like a more authentic açai bowl place than the yuppie ones I've previously had. It was incredible!!! Even though I ordered only fruit & coconut toppings and my husband had oatmilk smoothie, we both felt the açai was so rich with inherent notes of chocolate. Perfect summer treat. Thrilled for all the vegan options since we can't have dairy! I recommend trying this small family business for their quality and kind service. I will be returning for the vegan chocolate trio before I leave the area!!“

Hop-Yo

Hop-Yo Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt • $
36 Main St, Hopkinton - 6.15 miles

“Hop Yo is my favorite local froyo shop! I love how close by and convenient it is, there really aren’t a lot of specifically frozen yogurt shops around anymore. I also love that they have açaí bowls! However I’d like more size options for the açaí bowls as well as shakes. Froyo flavors are delicious, but I’d like more rotating flavors. Always seems to be the same flavors when I go. Great assortment of toppings and even some healthier options like granola, coconut, boba, etc. which is very much appreciated. All employees are very friendly and helpful with questions, and even include a cute little handwritten card with every doordash order! All in all a fantastic local business with great work ethic, highly recommend.“

T.C. Scoops Meal Takeaway • $
100 Central St, Holliston - 6.22 miles

“After three years of having traipsed by this place, looking over and thinking 'Someday...' I finally decided that tonight was it. I was...in a /mood,/ to put it succinctly. Dagnabbit, I wanted some ice cream. So I stepped on into the brightly lit but welcoming little shop. It was clean, pristine, and calm--but I could practically feel the exuberant energy of its patrons and staff that it would have on any given summer afternoon, even on this quiet evening. I made my way over to view the selection, and...while I had expected there to be a fantastic selection of unique flavors...I was ill-prepared for the choices I'd have to make. My eyes roved over such a brilliant array of colors and provocative flavors, that my attention was like trying to walk a pack of exceptionally energetic puppies. Any moment I thought I had made a decision, one of those puppies would leap at another label or swirl or splash of rainbow, yipping and pulling. All of the disappointments and problems in my life slipped away into the ether as the most pressing thing in the world at the moment was... 'WHICH ONE?!' I was going to commit to a pint, no matter what--no question. Sure, I could have asked for some samples, but I didn't want to pester the pleasant woman keeping shop... She was already engaged in friendly banter with a couple of other patrons, and I was struggling as it was. I have a penchant for eating anything that's aggressively blue, and the variety of flavors available in that color had me holding my breath as my eyebrows tried to unite with my hairline. I finally wrangled my internal puppy thoughts--resisting my every urge to just shout 'BLUE!'--and picked one: Caramel cheesecake.I scurried home, dealt with some unpleasant things... But finally I grabbed a spoon and dug in--...there are some things in this world that bring such unexpected pleasure and joy that it elicits reactions that seem contrary and disproportionate to the thing being experienced. Such was the case with this ice cream. It was so good, I had to beg pardon for my vernacular and volume. So smooth, so creamy, but with tantalizingly soft chews of chunks of cheesecake and subtle crunches. It was sweetness like a euphoria. I had meant only to have a little taste so I could satisfy my curiosity and save it for later...but the spoon seemed to take on a mind of its own. M'lad witnessed my exultation, and I almost reluctantly passed him the spoon. Usually, we can calmly and politely share food--but we were reduced to a base, child-like state, and got grabby-snatchy with just the one spoon. Something about this must have alarmed my rational side, and after both of us saying 'Last one, for realsies--' for the fifth or sixth time, I managed to slap the top back on to save what was left for later...but it was difficult.Suffice to say, next time I will allow myself to dawdle a bit in the shop and ask for samples, although I sincerely doubt that there is any wrong choice. I blindly and recklessly committed to this one flavor... My only regret is that I didn't get a bigger bucket.“
