“Oh yeah, I recommend the Grove Street Tavern. The two bar pizzas we ordered were incredible. Came out of the oven piping hot. Talking about anticipation, eh? The steam coming off the pizza brought a cacophony of scents to my head. Ground chourice and red pepper. Nice crust that held up well to the toppings. My bud ordered a mushroom and green pepper pie. We reluctantly shared. The veggies and cheese combo with that crust was insane. The sauce was just enough for my liking. The beverage list was a hit when I saw one of my top brews, a Fiddlehead IPA brewed in Vermont. Ordered one up. I also tried a local brew, but this essay is not a beverage review, but i know what satisfies me. Can this joint get any better? Friendly and efficient hosts answering your questions, taking your orders, getting your drinks. Small business where the customer is both treated well and fed well. I know that I only had a pizza, but that is what I came here for. Maybe I'll try another menu item on my next visit, maybe not. Looks small from the parking lot but very qwell laid out inside. Clean and comfortable bar. Adequate space to move around. I suggest that you check it out for yourself. I might see you there because I will be back to GST. Addendum: As expected, I returned came 2 days later. This visit, i had them configure a sausage and green pepper pie. Marvelous. Nothing more to say besides try Grove Street Tavern for yourselves.“
“This is a small place. I would characterize it as a bar with a restaurant surrounding it. It's loud (the bar), but not terribly so. Our server was a master at projecting her voice! I eyed the flight of margaritas offered on the drink menu long and hard, but discretion won the day. First was the fish slider appetizer, which was generous and tasty. Next, I had the Chicken Scarpielle: chicken and sausage with asparagus, sun-dried tomatoes and a cream sauce. The sausage was sliced thin as communion wafers, so 'boo' to that, but the dish was good overall. Boyfriend took umbrage at the amount of side-dishes which were up-charges (namely, all the good ones... including salad) so he settled on the French onion soup.So, this is our second time here, which reminded us it's not our kind of place. But I do understand why it's popular, and rightly so. Any place offering a flight of margaritas can't be all bad.Did I mention there was a bar?“
“my sister and I had to go to Attleboro to take our younger sister to the hospital for a test so we had some time to kill and we decided to go for a walk and then we decided to find a place for lunch. We went to Maureen's and everything was great. The service had a glass of wine and the food was amazing. If I didn't live so far away If I didn't live so far away, I'd probably visit. This place is much more often, but will definitely return when we go see my sister again. Would definitely recommend“
“We ordered the steak tips comes with vegetables and potatoes huge portions both ordered medium rare done perfectly couldn’t finish,we’ve eaten in expensive restaurants and the portions were smaller and not as good and sometimes not done “
“Well… my first visit. Reminds me of a good bar from the 80’s. I came her for the fish n chips because I was told it was excellent. I was smiling as I walked in. I think the decor is super cool. Pool table. Darts. Tables to play cards. Nice bar area. The folks who greeted me were just super pleasant. Like seeing your favorite Aunties. With all your Uncles drinking a bottle of beer at the bar and talking about life. Oh… and the fish n chips. A TEN out of TEN. Lightly breaded. Clean oil. Fries have some kind of salty/vinegary coating on them. (I think). Generous portion. You pay for it at 18 bucks but if it’s perfect… it’s worth it in my book. Treat for the week. Shhhhhh…. Don’t tell anyone! I like this place and want it all to myself.“
“We stopped in here a couple weeks ago after I took my dad to a doctor's appointment. The girl's in the office were ordering take out for their lunch. I said to my dad lets try this place not knowing the area. Well , one lunch and we were sold. The following weekend we brought the whole family and I think there was a dozen of us and we all had a great meal. I had the best steamers you can get. I was so pleased. The bartender was super friendly and efficient. We don't live near by and my 89 year old dad asks to go there once a week. Congratulations to this couple for running a successful restaurant. It's not easy and you've definitely done a great job. Wishing you much success in the future.“
“Parkers is my favorite spot when the sport games are on - sorry Jen!But really the food is awesome - my doctor tells me I need to cut back on the Buffy the Vampire Slayer wings but he just doesn't understand how delicious they are, especially with steak fries. I also love the red dragon sauce - admittedly i need to try more sauces but the buffy is one of my all time favorites My other go to is the Billy Mac pizza - Ronald may have invented the combo on a bun but Parkers version is scrumtrellesant!!Staff is always friendly and it's always a good vibe inside. “Great Irish pub with very friendly staff and patrons. The type of place people will move over to help you get a seat. I watched 2 strangers at a 4 top invite 2 people that were waiting for a table to sit with them. The atmosphere was great. It is kid friendly. There was live music playing on a Sunday afternoon. Just the right level so you could talk and not yell. My daughter and I each started with a Shirley Temple. I'm a big kid at heart. For an appetizer we each got a cup of their creamy, buttery, thick and absolutely delicious clam chowder! My daughter got the baha burger. She really liked it. The fries were crisp with a nice spice. I had a stuffed quohog, this was served hot with butter and lemon. This was so good. I had the garlic parmesan chicken wings. These were crispy, juicy on the inside, and the flavors were delicious! Some of the best I've had. The entire time the staff was attentive and friendly. Definitely worth checking out!“
