“Fantastic place with excellent beer. The owner is an amazing human being who made a spot for me when it was closed for a private event and I was in need of a drink. You can see that kindness in his excellent handcrafted IPA. Highly recommend it!“
“The Tall Man and I were looking for a low key hangout with baby in tow, and Distraction Brewing was the perfect place. This new-to-us brewery on the cute pedestrian-only Birch St. had an outdoor patio but we opted for seats inside. It's not a big place, but it has a good number of tables and bench seating in a brightly lit space. The Tall Man got the autumn flight of 4 beers (one being one of their maltinis), which he enjoyed for their variety. I wasn't up for imbibing so I got a Health-Aid kombucha from the fridge. (They also carry Athlete's nonalcoholic beer in cans.) They have some packaged snacks for purchase, but they encourage people to get food from local businesses to eat there. It was pretty darn convenient to pick up lunch from nearby Chilacates. It made for a very chill lunch and sip. We weren't even the only ones with a stroller! It was a relief to find a brewery that's not utterly mobbed and where we could bring the little one. I would definitely come back for another relaxing hangout.“
“Great brewery. The beer was awesome Northeast IPAs as well as a couple of West Coast. The bartenders were awesome especially Brian wealth of information around the neighborhood too. first time in Boston he hooked us up with a couple other good restaurants.“
“How was the pizza you ask? A wise man once said a picture is worth a thousand words!Awesome food and a nice beer selection. I will assert that this is a wonderful spot to chill, have good food, and meet nice wholesome people! ? PS - no wifi here so be prepared to talk and be social! Like its 1999!“
“Really lovely sake brewery in Medfield! We bought two flights so we could taste all their sakes, and they were all fantastic. Our favorite was Inner Light--very unusual and flavorful, almost savory. Mountains on the Moon and Hi Maggs! also stood out. (And check out the names of these sakes!) The space was super cute and very 80s-scifi, and the owner was very friendly and open. We went while a Korean popup (Damgeuda) was serving very tasty food as well, which was a nice complement to the sake. They also have games (e.g., Battlefield) that you can play while you sip. We ended up taking a few bottles home. Really nice way to spend an afternoon!“
“Fun tour, we did it early morning. Needless to say, we had a good buzz by noon. Tour guides are awesome and friendly. At the end of the tour, they give you beer to sample. You get to keep your sampling cups, very cute. We had the privilege to sample 3 or 4 beers, I don't remember. There is also a gift shop and a "bar" where you could drink, not included in the tour. I would highly recommend this tour while in Boston.“
“Awesome brewery. The beer is great, my favorites so far have been Betty Witte and the Don’t Stop the Dance raspberry sour. The wood fired pizza is amazing, so tasty with amazing dough, a few unique options also. Swine with Seoul (kimchi, pork belly pizza) is top notch. The owner and staff are very friendly, dogs are more than welcome. The inside is a bit small, but there’s a large outdoor area for when it’s nice out. Totally recommend this place to any beer/pizza lover! I’ll be back many more times.“
“Food and service were excellent. Atmosphere is a bit bright and can be noisy if crowded but still worth a visit. Jackie and Alexa are top notch host and server - friendly, professional and knowledgeable. With servers like Jackie and Alexa we'll be back!Parking: Lot is in the back or around the common.“
“Welcoming, clean, and a beautiful beer/selzter/cider selection. I had the mango peach selzter which was crisp, light, and not too sweet. I tried the cider which again wasn’t too sweet and actually tasted like apples. Queer friendly which is difficult to find out this way, so I think I’ll definitely be coming back. Perfect place to grab a board game and spend some time with your buds.“
“Had a company holiday party here, and the private space in the back was perfect! We had around 100 people, and the space/seating availability was just right. Pickle pizza and churros were a hit. Staff members were helpful and friendly. Would recommend renting out this space for anyone throwing a party!“
“My son had a wrestling tournament at Oliver Ames, so I had to pop in at Shovel Town. Ordering ahead online was easy, pick up was as well. Wish I had time to sit and enjoy a couple of pints but bought some to enjoy at home. Brews were great and wish more local stores carried Shovel Town.“
“Atmosphere nice , brew ariste was very nice and accommodating at the counter. I had a sample of fiver (hazy ipa) nice and smooth. Not too hoppy. Very smooth. I also had the rice brew which was nice taste. Tried the stout. To strong for my palate. Good atmosphere…“
