“Delicious!!! the food is amazing especially for the price everything taste so fresh and full of flavor. It could use a little more salt for my taste but definitely worth going. All the workers are pretty nice and welcoming. the buñuelos are huge and fluffy and the empanadas are fantastic (a little on the smaller side)“
“A small, no-frills spot with truly delicious offerings. Went on a 2-week road trip through New England & Quebec, & this was the best meal I had the entire time. Transported me to South America instantly. Authentic & reasonably priced, I highly recommend Las Delicias Colombianas in Revere, Mass.“
“He ido 4 veces porque me gustan las empanadas pero creo que necesitan mejorar el servicio al cliente. Yo no soy colombiana , por lo tanto no se que son algunas cosas y cuando le preguntaba a la muchacha que si que tenían de relleno , ella me miraba y su tono de vos al responder era cómo si por que preguntaba eso o cómo no sabes lo que tienen, (no lo decía en palabras pero esa era su actitud)Deben de considerar que no todos los clientes están familiarizados con sus productos.“
“Their beef empanadas with the mashed potatoes inside are my favorite. It's better than the chicken ones. A little hole in the wall spot near Maverick Station. Service is good and fast. There isn't a lot of seating since it's always poppin' inside.“
“We are tourists to Boston, a Spaniard and a Mexican couple, so obvs our level of Colombian knowledge isn't great. With that said, the place was very lively, and you can tell it's a staple to this neighborhood. Everyone came in for breakfast, which was quickly provided. Prices were very fair for the quality of items. The gals behind the counter are clearly hard workers. My husband ordered one of their tamales, and that thing could feed a family of 3. He really liked it but I couldn't get past the texture. We tried empanadas and like a cheese pastry, all very good. The ambiance was very simple but cafeteria style, which helps to meet new people. Seats were kind of uncomfortable though. Overall, we appreciated it.“
“My favorite new place. I have been to South Boston location and Brookline. The food is wonder and it will be hard to find a place with better prices. Tons of delicious food from their empanadas, yuca fries, sour Sopa, Rice and beans, chicharrones to the churros for dessert! You cannot go wrong here!!“
“The Google reviews don't lie, as expected a very good authentic Colombian restaurant, food was very good, portions were right, friendly staff, clean place, sitting at the bar with a view of the kitchen which looks clean too, and clean bathrooms. ....“
“The food was amazing- very tasty!! Portions are above average. The prices are slightly high, but not bad. And the server was very sweet & cordial. Highly recommended!!!Parking: Had to park at the Marshalls parking lot a block away due to no available street parking by the restaurant. However, the area is totally pedestrian-friendly.“
“Ordered chicken thigh with rice, beans, yucca, salad TOGO and it was nothing short of authentic and delicious cuisine. The combo of food was savory and delicious, especially together. Yucca was flavorful. Chicken thighs had juicy flavor and delicious texture.I am very satisfied with the value as the portions were enough for 1 or 2 leftovers - but it would be hard to finish all the rice and beans in one sitting. The ordering was easy online on their website, and they had the order warm on the counter as I arrived, with a nice smile. The interior is fun, video-bar themed with Latin music playing and fun music décor. The bar is snug and intimate in the back.I hope to come back for a sit-down meal soon!“
“I went to El Peñol 2 located on 570A Broadway in Revere, MA. We had a true Columbian food feast here! For drinks I tried their jugos naturales en augua (nature flavored water). They have so many flavors to try (mango, papaya, guava etc.) and you can get milk versions of them too. I tried their blackberry water and it was super delicious 9/10.For appetizers we had fried plantains 7/10, yucca frita (yucca fries) 7/10 and mixed ceviche platter 7/10. The mixed ceviche platter was quite the sight! It had shrimp, scallops, octopus and avocado. If you are in the mood for some seafood I recommend trying this dish. For main dishes we had the carne en crema de champinoñes (beef in mushroom sauce) 8/10, the picadillo de pollo (marinated chicken) 7/10 and pescado frito (whole fried fish) 7/10. For any of the dishes you can also get a side of rice and beans, fries, salad, or fried plantains. For dessert we got flan 7/10 and churros with ice cream 7/10. This place is very affordable and provides great portion sizes. I can see why they have two other locations (Boston and Brookline!).Next time I come back (or perhaps do delivery!) I want to explore more of their drinks and of course get plantains/yucca fries.Food: 7/10Affordability: 8/100“
