“I love this place. My friends introduced it to me when I first moved to the area and my husband, son, and I have been going ever since. They do dollar oysters every day until 5:30pm, which is hard to find these days. It's the best deal in town! We also love the poutine and there's usually a few great local/seasonal beers on draft. Great atmosphere and the guys who work here are friendly, efficient, and helpful. Highly recommend!“
“Came to BE's for some wings with a colleague . This is everything a Boston pub should be : no frills , TVs , casual abs great eats. We ordered wings n fires and they were amazing . Crispy fries and flavorful wings ! Service is very Boooooston as expected .“
“Best Irish pub in Somerville! The atmosphere and decor are spot-on, food is delicious and servings plentiful, and the staff is attentive and personable. No designated parking but street parking is usually available. Just across from the Sullivan Square T station.“
“The Tall Man and I were looking for a low key hangout with baby in tow, and Distraction Brewing was the perfect place. This new-to-us brewery on the cute pedestrian-only Birch St. had an outdoor patio but we opted for seats inside. It's not a big place, but it has a good number of tables and bench seating in a brightly lit space. The Tall Man got the autumn flight of 4 beers (one being one of their maltinis), which he enjoyed for their variety. I wasn't up for imbibing so I got a Health-Aid kombucha from the fridge. (They also carry Athlete's nonalcoholic beer in cans.) They have some packaged snacks for purchase, but they encourage people to get food from local businesses to eat there. It was pretty darn convenient to pick up lunch from nearby Chilacates. It made for a very chill lunch and sip. We weren't even the only ones with a stroller! It was a relief to find a brewery that's not utterly mobbed and where we could bring the little one. I would definitely come back for another relaxing hangout.“
“Step into the famous bar that inspired an 80s sitcom. It's decked out with memorabilia on the walls and has a little gift shop for souvenirs. We didn't try the food, but i can assure you it's a great spot for grabbing beers and having a good time. They've got Samuel Adams and Harpoon draft, plus some non-local brews. Despite the crowd, service at the front bar was great, and they accept credit cards. Just a heads up, it's downstairs, so keep that in mind if stairs are an issue for you.“
“Amazing pub. It was warm and cozy on a cold Salem March day, and all the food we ordered was out of this world delicious (fish and chips, shepherd's pie, beef stew). Great service, and great pub tunes playing. A truly memorable experience.“
“The menu features classic Irish dishes alongside American pub favorites, all expertly prepared and served with a smile. The friendly staff adds to the welcoming ambiance, making every visit feel like a gathering among friends. Highly recommend!“
“Visiting from overseas and found this cracking neighbourhood pub. Service very efficient and friendly. Food was also really good - the special fries were delicious - and a great pint of guinness. Brilliant atmosphere to cap it all off. Well done guys.“
“Stopped by for a drink and some darts this afternoon while wandering around Boston. Fantastic, friendly spot. The bartender even gave my girlfriend her last mozza stick as we were leaving. Does it get more friendly than that? Fully recommend for anyone looking for a chill spot to drink nice beer and relax. Thanks!“
“The food there is better than ANY restaurant I've ever eaten at, and I've been to 5 ⭐️ restaurants in my lifetime. The only confusing part of this place is that you don't get a specific server, You get anybody that is walking around. Which I guess is ok, but I would have liked my own, I probably would have left a way bigger tip, but again I didn't know who to tip...but again if you haven't been here, I suggest you go. You will never get steak as good as CHAMPIONS PUB!!! ?“
“This is the go to spot when my coworkers and I get out of work. Staff is very friendly and makes you feel like family. They'll always call you by name. Susan and John are very personable bartenders. When serving someone new, John will always say "My name's John, let me know if you need something". Food wise, I've only gotten the wings, and they're pretty good, perfectly crispy. My coworker raves about their taco salad. Overall, a great place to let loose and enjoy yourself after work.Kid-friendliness: Kids are definitely welcome, but it is a more adult oriented environment. There is a corner dining section away from the bar, which is more appropriate for children when it comes to seating.“
“Came here with my girlfriend for a quick mid-week dinner and left feeling satisfied and impressed! The eatery is small, and has a dark-cottage like feel. We sat ourselves and were served promptly. I ordered the chicken quesadilla, which was very juicy and jam-packed with minced pieces of fajita vegetables. It was delicious and cheesy. Every ingredient was very fresh and of good quality. It came with a side of cheesy refried beans, which were incredible! They were so good I'd honestly order them on their own. Wow! My girlfriend reported that her Bahn Mi sandwich was good, but a little on the hotter side. If you're a spice lover like me, though, that is a perk! Overall, we had a great dinner at Shay's and will definitely be back!“
“Late night. Week night. No Irish pub around the corner. No worries, you got Cornwall's. Service was excellent. Slight change in making the Reuben into a Rachel and still a fantastic sandwich was to be had. Only sour note was the side pickles might want to be more firmer and pickled. The unflavored everyday ordered Ice tea even had a nice kick to it. Price point was point on. So, Irish or not, do a visit.“
“The Fed at The Langham, Boston offers a nice atmosphere, good food, and reasonably good service. Our orders were made as requested and served in a timely manner.Full Review:Located at The Langham, Boston, The Fed offers a delightful dining experience with its nice atmosphere, good food, and reasonably good service. The restaurant lives up to its description as a British-inspired cocktail bar with a sophisticated New England twist. On our visit, we found the surrounding environment to be pleasant, reflecting the quality settings that The Langham is known for. The Fed, much like the hotel's Grana, provides an inviting atmosphere that enhances the overall dining experience. We sampled a variety of dishes, including the lobster roll, burger, and steak frites, all of which were delicious and well-prepared. Our orders were made as requested and served in due time, showcasing the kitchen's quality and attention to detail. While we did encounter a minor issue with the hostess, the situation was quickly addressed and rectified by the management. The quality customer service we received in resolving this matter was commendable, and we appreciated the professionalism displayed by the staff.Overall, our experience at The Fed was enjoyable, and we would recommend it to anyone looking for a quality dining experience in Boston. The combination of a nice atmosphere, good food, and reasonable service makes The Fed a worthy dining destination. 4/5.“
“I loved everything about this place. Great atmosphere, tasty burgers and an extremely thoughtful beer selection, both local brews and imports alike. I had heard good things about the burger and was not disappointed. A cool place to hang on a chill Sunday evening.“
“My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this pub for dinner on a Saturday night. Despite the busy evening, we were seated promptly. The atmosphere was just right - not too noisy, allowing us to have a peaceful conversation. The pub has a decent amount of seating, considering its size. The staff were friendly, laid back, and added to the relaxed vibe of the place. Overall, it was a no-fuss, enjoyable dining experience. We’d definitely recommend to anyone coming to the area.“
“We found this place and the reviews were great and did they live up the their reviews! Drinks, service and the food was fabulous. My boyfriend got the fried chicken sandwich and he was so impressed with the quality of of the chicken & I got the drunken tips. The BBQ sauce was delish and the veggies were fresh!“
“Fish and chips were so delicious, the fish was tender and flaky with a light batter, clam chowder was creamy and full of clams seasoning was light but complimented the chowder, lobster Mac and cheese was creamy and full of yummy tasting lobster, the hot lobster roll was light on garlic, so much lobster is should almost be illegal ?.“
“great place to stop by, had a layover from europe and needed to skip through a few hours before the next flight to where i was headed. Ciro and the guys at this place are personable and v friendly, the type of atmosphere you can’t really find anymore nowadays. definitely recommend to anyone, especially if you have a few hours to spare and can make the short trip out the airport. i only had a burger but the other dishes other people ordered were proper portions, looked delicious and all at a great price. also guiness pints are under 8$, try double at the airport. definitely worth the free bus and the 10 min walk out“
“Atmosphere is perfect, great taps and the absolutely one of the best Rubens I've ever had! Gotta get the sweet potato fries with it, service is awesome! This spot is a great industry gather place for late bites or a local hangout to watch a game!“
“We enjoy this restaurant tremendously-staff, selection of food and the ambiance are all exceptional. We were sad to discover that they have cut down their hours and are so short staffed that their 2 bartenders are tripleling as Bartenders. waiters and greeters. They are doing an astonishingly good job fulfilling all these demands. Apparently they are also shortstaffed in the kitchen since at present are only offering a quite limited menu of appetizers. It appears they will likely be squeezed out of their spot. For many of us this is quite a loss, I am sure we are not tge only ones that consider this restaurant the top brew bar in the Encore“
“Stopped here for a drink (Irish Coffee) and Spinach Artichoke app. Food was on the pricey side (~$46 without tips for 2 drinks and the app), but service and the decor were very nice! The app was tasty, and the Irish coffee was okay (not the best I've had)“
“Stopped in for the first time and really enjoyed it. Small bar with great music, decent food and great atmosphere. We had the stuffed tater tots which were delicious. The wings were also good but very cold. Great beer selection also. Will definitely be back!!“
“My boyfriend and I just went here and split a few sushi rolls and the chicken Kara age. All of the food was really delicious, might be the best kara age I’ve ever had, and their lunch menu pricing is really reasonable. Our waitress was really nice and all the food came out quickly.“
“Such phenomenal food and great prices and super friendly staff. We got the surf and turf, shrimp scampi, potato skin appetizer, and tiramisu for dessert. The seafood was incredibly fresh and huge portions. The surf and turf had plenty of lobster meat as well. Highly recommend all dishes.“
“We were deciding what to eat for our anniversary dinner. One kid wants sushi, another wanted ramen or chicken katsu, wife wanted sashimi and I wanted Yakitori. We landed on Omori Izakaya.Parking was easy right on the same street and plenty of spots available at dinner time on a Saturday. We got there earlier than our reservation. We were seated immediately with maybe few more tables open. We order some Yakitori and appetizers to start. The pork belly, chicken gizzards and chicken hearts were extremely flavorful. The chicken skin was crunchy perfection. The octopus was grilled to perfection with a little of mixed spices on top. Hotate Kaiyaki came out on a little warmer with a little flame and very cool presentation. Tako Yaki was good as well. For main courses we order chicken katsu dinner and dragon roll and caterpillar and sashimi combo. The kids love the chicken katsu. They also loved the maki rolls. Sashimi also fresh.Overall we had a great time. The food were very good. The stars were the Yakitori skewers.Parking: Plenty of meter parking on the same street as the restaurant.“
“Once we found our way down, we were charmed by the dark academia vibes. Intimate setting, attentive service, and creative and delicious cocktails. We'll have to return to try some of the food and more cocktails. We only tried a special, Experiment #3, which came in a flask and could have been enough for 4 drinks over ice, volume-wise.“
“My family eats at Town Tavern often and it's consistantly great! We've tried many of the various menu items and have really enjoyed everything. I especially love the sandwiches and fries. They are my favorites of the many local restaurants we've been to. They also have great cocktails and the service excellent and staff are all very nice! I'd definitely recommend going to Town Tavern.“
“The burger was good, it wasn't great. The service was really slow and I think that is part of the lack of ability to hire people right now, not necessarily a reflection of the restaurant. Nice place to go before a show, not crazy expensive for the theater district.“
“Celebrated a friend's birthday here and it was great! They do run all IDs through a scanner so it took a bit time for us to all get inside, since we were a big group of 13. After we got inside, the decor was really cute and there was pretty nice lighting that was not too dark. The music was also on point--some light rock and pop that was not too loud. We could talk at a normal volume and not have to yell over the sound. Since it was a Tuesday night, they had a $10 beer of the week + burger special. This was such a good deal!! The beer of the week was a PBR. The food came very quick and the burger came with fries. My friends and I all thought it was delicious, and very good for late night eats. What was even more awesome was that they did individual checks for all 13 of us! This saved us so much time and we did not have to figure out how to split the costs afterwards. Best service at a bar that I've seen in a while. I will definitely come back here with friends again!“
“Fantastic atmosphere & Service. Food was delicious, freshly cooked. Definitely try this bar out as you won't be disappointed. Went in as strangers, left as friends. Looking forward to our next visit when we are back. Thank you John, Bar Staff, waiting Staff, chef & the lovely Barney for a wonderful experience ?.Paula & Jack ??“
“A bar as comfortable as a well worn pair of shoes. A chill vibe and excellent food!Oysters were plump and fresh, their Asian prep is great: yuzu soy, ginger and wasabi. Very tasty! Their house cocktail sauce is good too.The Smoked Seafood.Chowder was a surprising standout! Chock full of smoked fish and in a "not too rich" cream base, this isn't an overly thickened chowder and one of the best chowder I've had.Lobster Roll is very good and well priced. Not too overly dressed and LOTS of minced lobster, topped off with a strip of bacon. Seems to be a P-Town thing, bacon on a Lobstah Roll. I'm not mad at it at all! Good sweet potato fries, the harissa sauce can use more harissa. The CURRY FRIES are legit!Good beer and whisky selection.“
“We found this Charming Tavern on our Travels through Quincy. The Staff was Friendly and Welcoming. We ordered Drinks and a couple of appetizers Buffalo Chicken loaded Nachos and loaded Tater Tots ? with Smoked Bacon ? everything was Delicious ? and the Drinks were Ice Cold ???.For Entrees: a couple of Burgers? with fries ? and a Reuben Sandwich with fries ? which were very Tasty ?.Great Place to watch Sports Games with a Cold Drink and Delicious Food ?.The Service was Excellent ?I Highly Recommend!⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐“
“If you are a Guinness drinker, you know not all pints are the same, in fact the quality can vary wildly. This pub poured 2 of the very best pints I've had in the United States. I should note, it was also a pretty busy night. When I complimented the bartender, he said, "we try really hard to make the best pint in Boston. Thank you, we try." That's the exact right attitude. Fantastic.“
“I had an old gift certificate. It was a different gift card system. It was still recognized by Menotomy Grill management. I apologized for the late usageI got the Cod cakes with homemade baked beans and Coleslaw. It was out of this world. ( Delicious)It was a nice atmosphere with nice music.I would strongly recommend Menotomy Grill.??“
“Local dive bar, nothing fancy. I like this place because it's not trying to be something it's not. One dollar PBR and five dollar well drinks. A welcome alternative to the ten dollar per beer micro brewery next door. No frills place to have an adult beverage without breaking the bank!“
“Definitely on the fence for 5 v. 4 stars. It a great space with lots of interesting decor, and the upper floor has a great vibe ...get up there if possible. Service was good; expected for a slow evening. Vibe is nice...not too much TV or music pervading, yet not lacking in some liveliness either...nice touch. Host was great and re-seated to better spot (chairs not stools) was easy. The standard menu (no specials that night) had scallops which were super! Cooked perfectly with the broc rabe also perfect on the side. The risotto, possibly from another school of risotto-thought, was not so. Just OK and seeming under cooked a bit and underwhelming... some umami or like influence would be good/needed. Duck dish was nice...but, they asked if medium rare is OK which it is! and should be. It was a precut set portion of tiny fillets which is great ( tho Im a fan of on the bone or "whole" fillet). What came up was nearly raw in the middle...yes, I definitely could have sent it back, but i"m lazy I guess and wanted to start eating together. Note to chef: a thin/medium size line of pink is good but a big old bunch is not. Note I eat rare /medium rare everything including lamb and port, but this was 'too much'...again my fault for not sending back, but.... Asparagus side was done very well...not under/over cooked. I'll be back!“
“Such a gem! Finally stopped by for cocktails and a light bite the other night and Porter Belly’s exceeded my expectations! Prices are extremely fair with generous portions and high quality ingredients. The atmosphere is so cozy and comfortable. Will definitely be back more often!Vegetarian options: Tomato soup was delicious!“
“Amazing food and great atmosphere. I think the Reuben was the best I've ever had, and my sister in law said the same for her lobster roll. My husband steak tips were also great, and the fried pickles were nice and crispy without being overly breaded like some places. I'd definitely come here again if I was in the area.“
“Best Hostel/Hotel I've ever rested at. The location is a rock throw to famous Charleston Bunker Hill Monument and the heart of BOSTON and the Encore Casino. Covientstores under 5min and one directly across the street, Verity of Food places also that deliver.“
“We are dinner here. Deviled egg appetizer and pretzel app. Both were very tasty. My husband ordered Big Mac tacos and it was plenty of food for him. He liked them. Descent portion sizes. My daughter enjoyed her grilled cheese. I ordered sliders that came with fries and tiny milk shake. (Which my child said was delicious) I got a sip it was good.5 people with dinner drinks and apps for $160It's a good deal I think. No pictures we were too hungry.“
“I’ve been ordering wing trays for the super bowl for a few years now. Every single time the staff are courteous, and helpful. I never feel like I’m bothering them calling to place an order days in advance. And the wings are always amazing! 10/10 recommend them for anything!“
“Cheap drinks and good food! What more could you ask for? This is located in an interesting spot but it certainly a great place to grab a drink and meet some local Cantabrigians. The bars atmosphere is very lowkey and inviting so expect to meet some new people! This is a great place to go watch a sports game and drink with friends. Also, the drinks are extremely cheap which is very nice.Note: the bar is cash only but they do have an ATM if you forget to bring cash.“
“Jo's is a landmark in Hull. It's a wonderful place, very relaxed and friendly. The drinks are always generous, and the bartenders are friendly. I love looking at all of the historical nautical decor. Really, the feeling that Jo's elicits is like no other. There's a deck where you can enjoy your drink during nice weather. (Fetch your drinks yourself.) They only have chips, but you can order takeout from a variety of menus. Sometimes they have live music; those nights are very fun. On Sundays they have extraordinary Bloody Mary's.“
“I have a sodium restriction and they accommodate very well. I check my medical stats today and no change. This shows that they didn't use sodium items on my food and still made it flavorful I loved the Haddock, Fries well needed ketchup and the coleslaw had to be made on site just by the creaminess and the freezing lemonade was unforgettable.“
“This place is, well, a tavern! But don't let that fool you, the food here is amazing quality, well seasoned, and delicious!Everything was great, no complaints here, would come back over and over again for their southern fried chicken & honey mustard salad. So good!!!“
“Randomly stumbled upon this place while walking around on our trip to Boston. This was one of the highlights of our trip! Try the eggrolls! My favorite was the steak and cheese. We also had wings and hotdogs. Great bar food. Great drinks. The bartender/owner was awesome. We vibed well with her and other patrons of the bar. We stayed for a few hours but I could’ve stayed all day.“
“We reserved Parlor aa we like that more intimate setting but we were seated in the dining room which rows of tables. Noise is louder, closer to bar and closer to other diners. We didn't complain, but we were a but disappointed as we prefer Parlor or Den for our dining experience.“
“Pelican is a Very Welcoming Place Karaoke ? On Friday nights Live Bands on Saturdays and Sundays AWESOME BARTENERS Specially Kari-Ann she's the best an there EVERY wknd make sure you TIP her WELL, the People down there a also Friendly . . . . .“
“This is our regular go to place. Our favorite waitress is Lisa who always greets us warmly and always remembers our favorite food choices. My favorite is the country fried chicken. Yummy! ? SeeParking: Lots of parking.Wheelchair accessibility: Not a problem.“
