“Great little breakfast diner that is family owned and has delicious home cooked food with friendly service. There is bottomless coffee and very generous portion sizes. It is a little gem in Somerville that has regulars and a friendly atmosphere. This place is cash only and there is an ATM inside if you need some money. This place is worth a visit!“
“WOW! Amazing breakfast and brunch spot! The breakfast ham is to die for! Amy behind the bar took great care of us. The service was great I got on the waitlist online and walked from the T and was seated immediately. I want to come back already and try something else. I had the monster breakfast and my partner had the buffalo chicken grilled cheese. Both of our plates were left clean!“
“Ahmed, the owner, is a great and generous man. He has created a perfect place if you want to go somewhere with a great atmosphere, where the staff is friendly and accommodating to all needs. I have been there a few times now and every time have felt welcome, and have been served excellent food. Their breakfast sandwiches are perfect if you need a quick bite to eat before work, or if you go for lunch their menu is excellent offering a wide variety of selections. I honestly would recommend this establishment to anyone looking for something great to eat in the Brighton area of Boston.“
“I’ve had them all, all the breakfast sandwiches Boston has to offer. And while there are some seriously good contenders, there’s a new champ in town. This is hands down, the undisputed best breakfast sandwich you can currently get in the Boston area. The freshly made English muffins are impeccable, the eggs always perfectly cooked. They use the highest quality ingredients, their bacon and sausage are just next level deliciousness. But it’s the small attention to details that put them over the top. Additionally, they have great customer service and if your order online you can cut the lines that form on the weekend. And don’t sleep on their ever growing lunch options, my personal fave being the turkey #1, add sunny sauce, in fact add sunny sauce to anything you get here, it’s that good. Sunny Girl is a true breakfast gem.“
“I recently visited Brookline Lunch in Cambridge on a busy Sunday afternoon for brunch and the place was packed--there was even a line outside! To expedite the wait, I strategically left my partner holding our spot while I popped over to a nearby ATM for cash, knowing this spot is cash-only. After about 30-40 minutes, we were finally seated inside. Despite the crowd, the restaurant exuded a cozy, homely atmosphere. I started off with a Turkish coffee, which was akin to a condensed espresso but had a wonderfully aromatic effect. It was not quite my cup of tea/coffee but I'm more of a latte fan. I could still appreciate the artistry of it and enjoyed trying something different. For my main course, I opted for the spicy sausage shakshuka, and I thought it was a unique take on the dish. Unlike any shakshuka I've had elsewhere, this version felt more like a hearty breakfast bowl, with fewer tomato sauce but packed with all my favorite ingredients--potatoes, sausage, poached eggs, garbanzo, carrots, and delicious naan bread. We read a review that recommended the chili oil sauce and requested some. It added a nice kick to the bowl. We also decided to order the Baklava pancakes to share. While undeniably delicious, they were extremely sweet, with the top pancake boasting generous toppings of pistachio and baklava. It's a unique dish and a must-have for those with a sweet tooth, but personally, I preferred the savory shakshuka. Overall, I highly recommend everyone to try Brookline Lunch at least once. I'll certainly be back, but perhaps when the lines aren't as daunting!“
“So glad we happened to find this place! We were staying over for the night after a day in Boston and needed coffee and breakfast before heading home. The service here was more than friendly, the coffee was to die for and they had so many flavors to choose from! Our breakfast sandwiches were delicious. If we ever find ourselves in the area again, we will make it a point to come back!“
“Wow, there are some miserable people out there leaving reviews!Folks, DO read the reviews of the actual customers! They are NOT TRYING TO FOOL YOU!!!GREAT FOOD!These people actually cook their own food! They do not warm the soup out of a can!! They do not buy frozen Spinach pie and cook it for you…. they actually make it with fresh ingredients! They always try to listen to their customers and if it’s not on the menu and they have the ingredients they’ll make it for you…. Because they care! They have been caring for the customers for 23 years!“
“Old school diner feel but clean and servers are attentive. Food is consistent and quality is better than most other diners around. If you're coming on the weekend, come early, before 10am for less wait. On the weekdays, they're busy too but not as packed so should be able to get a table with little to no wait. They post specials and uses seasonal ingredients.“
“This place is authentic and warm, the food is simple but delicious, nothing pretentious/fancy, just good food, and we love it for that. The atmosphere is simple and relaxed, great for having a conversation, the service is excellent, and the prices are great. Best breakfast/lunch/brunch in the area!“
“With breakfast being my favorite meal, I am always looking for something savory and sweet. My friend and I did a little trading of French toast. The Fire king and banana bread french toast were both flavorful and different in their pens. The fire king had cinnamon swirl in the batter. The banana bread french toast was the perfect combo. For the savory, you can go wrong with the classic: eggs, bacon, potatoes (and hash browns, we split those too) and toast.Definitely will get back!“
“This little bakery is cute. I walked I'm ans quickly realized it was cash only so I did have to go dig cash out of my car. I was greeted by the sweetest woman. The bagels I got were delicious. They were perfectly dense and huge! Only $2 per bagel which was great! 1000% recommend!“
“Can’t talk this place up enough amazing old school authentic Italian and a very warm environment whether your looking for a nice cup of coffee or a chicken parm sangy the workers over here always do it right. Killer Sicilian pizza as well!“
“Everytime I come here the food always comes out correctly. On my last visit having lunch with my mom I had their new smothered chicken sandwich it was so delicious packed a huge piece of chicken with the toppings it fell apart while I was eating it so used a fork and knife.“
“What an absolute find this place was! A little hole-in-the-wall restaurant that's easy to miss. Extremely friendly service with unbeatable prices! Menu fairly limited, but they offer a good amount of specials and you can find pretty much anything you would at most breakfast places. Got a biscuit breakfast sandwich that was on special. Came with home fries and ordered a side of bacon as well. Food came out quick and everything was delicious. Staff seemed to know every customer there or that came in for takeout. I need to become a regular here and cannot wait to come back!“
“Richy's has been around since 1954 and it's clear why. Had a great breakfast- eggs toast hash and sausages- with fresh coffee for $11. The ladies working the counter know everybody and it's just a great welcoming place. Will be taking my daughter for breakfast soon.“
“My favorite family breakfast spot in the heart of Roxbury, always a vibe always great food always love!!! The best coffee in Boston by the way!!! Service is excellent friendly warm, and kind!!! Be there tomorrow morning... sincerely Blue... find me on IG @bluebossMvt“
“I have to leave a review because the several years that I've been to this restaurant he's always been wicked nice! Food is always been consistently good. That being said, now being a vegan, the only thing I can eat there is maybe hash browns and a banana. I almost feel like it would be too much to ask for him to make some thing vegan, but you can just tell that the food is made with love in every bite.“
“Located in the heart of Wakefield, MA, Omelette Headquarters is not just a restaurant; it's a delightful journey back in time, housed within the charming confines of an old train station. From the moment you step inside, you're transported to a world where the past and present blend seamlessly, offering an extraordinary dining experience that’s both nostalgic and novel. Our family adventure to Omelette Headquarters was nothing short of spectacular. The menu, brimming with breakfast and brunch classics, left us spoilt for choice. My Western omelette was a masterpiece of fluffy eggs, vibrant peppers, and succulent ham, each bite a testament to the fresh, quality ingredients they pride themselves on. My kids dove into the ham and pancakes, which they declared "amazing," a kid-approved stamp of excellence if there ever was one. Meanwhile, the French toast, enjoyed by my wife and mother, was a symphony of flavors that danced on the tongue, a perfect balance of sweetness and texture that left us all wanting more. But what truly sets Omelette Headquarters apart isn’t just its delectable menu; it’s the ambiance. The restaurant honors its heritage as an old train station, creating an environment that’s not only unique but genuinely special. Old photos of the station adorn the walls, inviting diners to take a step back in time while enjoying their meals, a touch that enriches the dining experience with a sense of history and charm. The staff at Omelette Headquarters are the heart and soul of the restaurant. Their friendliness and warmth from the moment we walked in made us feel not just welcomed, but truly special. The service was impeccable, matching the high quality of the food, making our visit memorable in every possible way.Despite arriving at prime time, the wait was very reasonable, a pleasant surprise that speaks volumes of the efficiency and organization of the establishment. The prices, too, were incredibly fair, especially given the high quality of the food and the overall experience.Omelette Headquarters is not just a restaurant; it’s a destination. With its kid-friendly atmosphere, exceptional menu, and unique setting, it stands out as the best breakfast and brunch spot we've had the pleasure of visiting. It’s a place where every meal feels like a celebration of flavors, history, and family. For anyone looking for an extraordinary dining experience that caters to all ages, Omelette Headquarters in Wakefield, MA, is an unmissable treasure. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, make sure to stop by and embark on a culinary journey that you won’t soon forget.“
“Local breakfast/lunch joint. Been a part of Watertown landscape forever!Great food, fast courteous service and wicked good prices! This is a cash only establishment.Had the corn beef hash with 2 eggs (they don't do poached on the weekends); my wife had the egg and cheese sandwich on a bagel. Both super and ample servings!“
“We had breakfast on Sunday, April 7, at 10:30. Seated immediately and waited on promptly. Food prepared exactly as requested: crispy bacon, sausages, medium toasted raisin bread, eggs over easy, home fires, blueberries inside the pancake, real maple syrup, decaf coffee with milk. The home fries were so good that we did not add ketchup! (We usually soak our home fries in ketchup). Quality of bacon, sausages, and the raisin bread was excellent (not the cheap stuff). Atmosphere was pleasant. Staff friendly. Artwork, plants, and suncatchers on display are for sale and adds to the ambiance. Parking available on side street. Our breakfast was perfect. I left a tip for the chef as well.“
“We were craving breakfast food and this was the spot we chose which was perfect bc it was close to the hotel. Everyone ordered their basic 2 egg breakfast, I ordered their Mediterranean Menemen/Shaksuka which was delicious. 1 less star bc the home fries were a bit too soggy for our taste. Both the lady who sat us and the gentleman who took our order were very very kind. I would definitely recommend.“
“My vanilla latte was basically correct - lingering finish, not bitter - but the beans either weren't the freshest or were just not ground finely enough, because I didn't get the awesome flavor that coffee can deliver. Inside is a little dated for my taste. The booth seating has tape and tears in places like an aging diner or cafeteria would.“
“Mike’s Patty’s is really tasty. I visited the location within a little plaza as a pop up, but never got to try it. I finally got to try it today and it was delicious. I love how they prepare the egg! It’s such a perfect texture.. well cooked but the yoke slightly uncooked. The price is pretty steep, i paid $23 for a sandwich and a drink. The wait wasn’t very long but parking can be a bit complicated. I would recommend Mike’s.“
“I really love this place, the food and drinks are great, especially since it’s so close to home, work and daughter’s school. I’ve lived in the area my entire life and I understand the crowd here for the most part is very laid back and chill but I think it’s so rude to not have a sense of urgency when you see you have a line of people waiting to order and it’s the morning rush time. I want my tea and I plan accordingly to get it so I can arrive to work on time but it takes me 15 min easily because I have to wait for the employee to finish talking about their hair appointment…inconsiderate and rude.“
“Don't judge a book by its cover. First impression was that the cafe was small and really busy. But after we were seated and Kim came over to greet us, she was friendly and really terrific. The place calmed down a bit, we had a great table, and the food was really good. Omelette was great, tasty pancakes, home fries were crispy. We ended up lingering way too long. I would absolutely come back for the great service and the food. You have to get past the size of the cafe, and after that, you'll become a fan like we did.“
“Very friendly atmosphere and accommodating to our youngest who is wheelchair bound. Nice little spot with a mom and pop feel to it. Food was very tasteful and service was wonderful! Great tasting coffee and prices are affordable, great little find. :) Will definitely be back if ever in the area again.“
“Great takeaway breakfast sandwiches and coffee. Can be overrun by hungover college kids by 10am. Yummy food but not enough room to hang out, nor would I want to considering the number of people lining up for breakfast.Wheelchair accessibility: The entrance is accessible but the waiting area is very tight. There is a threshold to get over and maybe not enough room to get a wheelchair in if it's busy. I am sure the staff at the counter would come to the door to take an order - they're good people.“
