Where other scammy bakeries tried to charge me over $800 for a small wedding cake, Sweet Piglet worked with me to select the best flavor combos and incorporate my vision for around $300. So thankful for these lovely folks and happy to support a local Asian business!“

“This is my go to spot every morning. Staff are always very nice and welcoming, the Vietnamese iced coffee and surf bagel sandwich for food is my regular order. They have a nice art as well as gift selection. I’d recommend going when they open around seven to nine as it gets busy after 10. Be sure to stop by at one of their events as well like storytelling shows and open mics. A great environment to be in“

Susan nailed the design we wanted for the cake, even though a lot of the description of what we wanted was based on a couple of pictures and telephone conversations. “There are lots of reasons to love Fasano's Marketplace in Braintree. The store is always immaculately clean, the food is fresh and delicious, and the staff is welcoming and friendly. Last night I discovered just how awesome that staff is. There was a small mixup with a clam plate, and the the team at Fasano's went way, way above and beyond to make it right. It was some of the best customer service I have ever experienced in my life. Every business makes mistakes, nobody is perfect. “Came here last minute because my order with another bakery fell through just before my baby shower. I was desperate and really needed cake and cupcakes within 72hrs. I called up this bakery and they accommodated me in every way they could, they even found a way to do my cake in less than the turn around time minimum (2wks)they usually require. The staff was nice the owner was just as nice. And over all this was a wonderful experience! The Baked goods themselves where very delicious ! Everyone asked where I got the cake and cupcakes from and the compliment were consistent the whole night! If your going to this bakery for an event or just to grab a slice of cake etc. this place is very good and worth going to. Everything was/is good. “I love this spot!! Such an underwhelming location with truly some of the best Viet food in Boston. I've been sleeping on this spot for so long, but my sister has been telling me about Dot Cafe and I finally made some time. This spot offers affordable and quick Vietnamese food and American breakfast. I actually only came for the Bánh Bột Chiên, Vietnamese fried rice flour cakes, but then I saw that they had Mì Quảng (it's new!!). It's a noodle dish from Central Vietnam that uses wide flat tumeric noodles, and the broth is a mix of pork and shrimp flavors. It was a little sweet, rich in flavor, and the pork was soooo tender. Not any, if very little places make this dish. My Sister's Crawfish used to make the best dry version of these noodles, but they sort of rebranded + relocated and don't have it anymore SO if you want some Mì Quảng, go to Dot Cafe!!!!“

“A hidden gem in Braintree. I've only done pre-ordered cakes and desserts and they have always been delicious. Made a last minute order for Thanksgiving for an apple pie and an upside down caramel apple bread pudding and they were great. Pick up was easy with very friendly service. Prices are also reasonable. To set expectations, the place definitely has more of a family run vibe and their website could use an update, but their desserts are modern, beautiful, and delicious.“

“This cute bakery has delicious baked goods at reasonable prices. Average-sized cookies are $1.00. The staff was welcoming and accommodating. The fresh bread was soft and delicious with a crispy exterior. The pastries don't disappoint. We got slices of peach praline pie, a slice of rum cake, and four cookies. We ordered a pie for Easter since the slices were so good. Check out the Italian jarred and boxed goods on the right when you enter. This review is based entirely on bakery items and service. I believe businesses should keep their political opinions to themselves therefore I avoid the book table on the left.“
