“A true farm to table dining experience in the Pioneer Valley! My wife and I have been going the Blue Heron for years and always have a great time. The service and food is consistently excellent with ingredients from local farmers. Blue Heron offers an upscale dining experience and is very close to Mount Sugarloaf, Tree House Brewing Company, Yankee Candle and more! I highly recommend the Ricotta & Honey small plate and Curried Vegetable Tian although there isn't anything on their menu I wouldn't try. The Chocolate Truffle Torte with espresso ice cream is a great way to finish a perfect meal!Vegetarian options: Vegetarian options never tasted so good. I am not sure if it is available all the time but the Curried Vegetable Tian is fantastic!Dietary restrictions: While they offer a wide range of choices, many are gluten-free and vegetarian or vegan-friendly.“

“My new favorite restaurant! Went to Waxwing for the first time tonight. We shared the oysters, green salad, pasta Bolognese and Fluke special, chocolate torte, butterscotch pot de creme Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. Great craft cocktail options and wine. The atmosphere was very intimate, the music was great, the service was exceptional. Did I say the service was exceptional? We felt very attended to from the minute we walked through the door. Very welcoming.“

“I ordered a burger right before stick season, or whatever it was that they closed up for a few weeks-- And i spent the entire damn time craving a burger. 9/10, lost a point because you werent open when i wanted 6 million burgers--But seriously, no, folks.. go eat here on your next day off/family outting/what-have-you.You will NOT be disappointed!! “DELICIOUS! Let's start with the amazing tomato concoction that comes with the bread. I could eat that every day! The fish was delicious but OMG the scallops! Cooked perfectly! Our server was Fatma and just incredible. Her smile was very inviting and friendly. She interacted with my daughter who was here for a college tour so nicely. She was professional but also made us feel like we were interacting with a longtime friend. Thank you!“

“Stopped for an early lunch. Some of us enjoyed breakfast and some of us enjoyed lunch. Our food was delicious and very hot. Our service was friendly and fast. The coffee was warm and delicious. The kids loved the farms ambiance. They have a mural that quotes bad reviews and the kids got a kick out of it.“

“Very fun lively place to get a healthy American style breakfast with their pure maple syrup. It was crowded for us on a Sunday morning and the food took a pretty long time but its pleasant to chillax at one of their picnic tables to wait. You can also buy maple syrup, maple frosted donuts, maple fudge. I also had a talk with the guys in the back running the maple syrup boiling machines to learn how the process works. Probably good for kids to learn about. Worth the stop if you are in the area. Great for families and a real authentic "New England" experience.“
