A mixed blessing...I had probably the best birthday cake I've ever had in the US from the Black Dog: A chocolate mousse cake with layers of cream. Sinfully delicious! However, croissants are a big disappointment, be they plain, chocolate or almond. The dough just doesn't taste fresh and crispy. It's all calories and no joy. We stopped in for some hot tea. They serve organic tea and lots of baked goods and dog treats. The atmosphere was relaxing, the staff were friendly and an enjoyable time. The sweet treats were excellent. No allergen items offered.
