“I really enjoy Middle Ground. The bartender that served us couldn’t be stumped by our drink requests. Friendly and accommodating. The food is very good. Been here 3 times so far and haven’t had a bad meal. The atmosphere is comfortable. Definitely going back. And soon..“
“I don’t have enough good things to say!! The ambience was laid back but aesthetically pleasing. My cocktail - black Caesar - was a 10/10 combination of complex umami flavors. We ordered the jerk duck, lamb kafta, and yassa chicken. All tender and such interesting flavors. The staff were all so nice. Love this place and will be going back!“
“We really loved the food at Stillwater! Started with the biscuits and homemade cheez-its, which were both absolutely fantastic. I had the red beans & rice as my main and the person I was with enjoyed the dumplings- both were great choices. The pb&j crème brûlée was a favorite- wished there was a bit more jam but it was delicious nonetheless. Service was less than stellar though- lack of water refills and it took an incredibly long time to get the check. Overall we had a great time!“
“I met a friend for a “drink” (I don’t drink!) at 4:30 on a Thursday. She’s a regular, I am not - yet!I ordered the Seasonal Punch - ““The Gale” - their house-made non-alcoholic option. Right now it is cranberry, apple, cinnamon and it was delicious! (I had 2!) I can’t wait to see what’s their next seasonal mocktail ends up being! Before she arrived in ordered the chips for us - Y. U. M.Marcos & Chris”Toast” recommended the Pork Belly Burnt Ends (said they taste like BBQ candy and they were not wrong! In fact my friend, who doesn’t eat pork loved them and finished what’s I could not!)On our way out at 6:30 (the place was almost full by then with Trivia about to start,) Rowan, one of the owners who I had met previously at Elvera’s across the street, (another GREAT find and amazing addition to the downtown Brockton area!) remembered me and made a point to chat. This is an A+ place. If you haven’t been, put it on your to-do list.Really looking forward to returning!“
“first time here today, ordered online for takeout and decided on their lava egg yolk french toast with sauce on the side, spam bolo bao, curry fish balls, and house made soy milk cold. everything was so delicious! the lava egg yolk french toast was sweet, crunchy, and dry (they forgot to add in my sauce on the side) so i didn’t really get to enjoy the whole thing as is. i would get it again because it was tasty! the spam bolo has to be my favorite, perfect balance of sweet and salty. it’s light too, i could eat two myself ? curry fish balls were also good but not worth $5 for 4 balls, wouldn’t get it again because of the high price and low quantity. house soy milk is sooo good! goes great with the food. look forward to trying out the rest of their menu!“
“Who knew the best matcha was actually from a local gem above a market in the South Shore? I'm so sad I didn't discover this place until now, close to when it will bid its farewell, but I am happy that I was able to try a few items. The strawberry matcha latte ($5.75) is a seasonal drink inspired by a cafe in Providence, RI, which I have been meaning to try, so I was very excited to get it. The drink was smooth and not sugary (as is preferred), and the strawberry was fresh. I also tried the banana bread ($3.50), which was surprisingly my first time in general. It was very moist and sweet (hopefully only from the bananas and no added sugar), with a slightly crunchy, almost nutty/salty crust. The place was pretty lively on a weekday morning, but the line and preparation of orders were quick. I feel like the items could be a tad cheaper (also, for some reason it is cheaper to order online?), but, nevertheless, I would return (and might have even been a regular had I known about this place sooner). If any of the staff reads this review, any chance the bread pudding or lobster Benedict could make a comeback before the final day? Haha.“
“When recently visiting Boston I met up with an old friend and he met me here for dinner. Cool atmosphere all around. The food was incredible. Definitely a nice place to sit, eat, and catch up and talk. Highly recommended. The fried pickles and burger were fantastic!! Great service was the icing on the cake!“
“Great location in the theatre district. Good value, and a plus that it's not too loud. Easily accommodated a wheelchair in our party. We had the ahi tuna tacos which were great (except are served with flour tortilla instead of corn tortillas). We also enjoyed the pear salad - perfect to split with two or three as an appetizer. Tempura green beans were as promised with two delicious sauces.“
“I am a fan of their res ( stew beef) , habichuela (beans) and arroz (rice ) ? they use to give good portions but things have changed , it’s 2022 now and prices are up but it’s worth it still . It ain’t that expensive. It’s enough to feed two if your ordering a plate for $18“
“The flavors are GREAT, and you can smell the amazing food from across the block. This business has maintained its standards throughout the difficult pandemic; they haven't changed a single ingredient. I've lived all over Boston, but I always come back to C-Road and stop here. The staff at Restaurant De Calidad is incredibly kind and makes sure you have everything you need and want.“
“Randomly decided to stop in for lunch one day, and glad we did!Food: The big pretzel was great - Its huge and great for sharing. The Country Chicken Pot Pie and burgers are good and I would recommend.Parking- plenty of parking in the lot.Atmosphere - very Irish pub feels. We sat inside because its winter but would be interested to try their outdoor seating in the summer. Service was fair and we would come back again“
“Just had a bridal brunch here and it was amazing. The chicken and waffles were delish, the eggs were perfect and the potatoes were to die for.. Drinks were fantastic-I had the 2twenty2 highly recommend it.. If you ever need a place to hold an event this is your place. Anthony was very accommodating with everything we needed. The waiter and bartenders were great and fast at getting everyone’s drinks. Thanks again for a great turnout, I will definitely be back and will spread the word of what a great place this is..“
“Get the biscuits. Don't think; just get them. Thank me later. You get four per order and each one takes two bites. They're out of this world! I could eat them all day. I also got gumbo. I'm from the South, Gulf Coast, so I know my gumbo. Chef knows what he's doing. The roux is dark and velvety, with the right amount of spice. You can get full on a cup. Shrimp are enormous, and crab is so tender. Lots of yummy okra and peppers (I wish those were chopped smaller). The cocktails are delicious too. This is a neighborhood bar/restaurant you'll want to come back to time and time again. Eat everything. Also, Haley is ab awesome bartender! Super helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable about all the things.“
“Services were good. The atmosphere was very open, making it loud, so conversation was tough. Especially when you have another table right next to you with an individual who doesn't understand inside voice ?. The food wasn't bad. Kinda wish my baked haddock had more flavor than butter. The stuffed cod was pretty decent and filling. I'll give an A to the sweet chili tenders though.“
