“Services were good. The atmosphere was very open, making it loud, so conversation was tough. Especially when you have another table right next to you with an individual who doesn't understand inside voice ?. The food wasn't bad. Kinda wish my baked haddock had more flavor than butter. The stuffed cod was pretty decent and filling. I'll give an A to the sweet chili tenders though.“
“On the day before St. Patrick's day I went there with a friend and it was packed inside and outside. There was a great energy among the patrons while they watched Rugby on the televisions and later listened to some live music. The atmosphere was lively and great and our server was pleasant on always within reach. We started off with the Fried Mushrooms for an appetizer. They were delicious. The mushrooms were juicy and flavorful inside and the coating was lite and not overly crunchy.I ordered the Fish and Chips which came with 4 small pieces of fish as opposed to one or two larger pieces you may get elsewhere. The coating was perfect and the flavor of the fish was fresh and delicious. My friend order the Honey Glazed Salmon, which may have been on the weekly special menu. It was moist, delicious and only slightly sweet. Cooked perfectly. Overall a perfect occasion and we will definitely be back.“
“Dropped in looking for Irish music bc it was the Saturday of St. Paddy's weekend.... and were surprised that it was a karaoke night. With nobody singing any Irish songs. And only about 2 people who could carry a tune. But that's ok. Who am I to judge and I didn't have the guts to get up there, so there's that. Anyway-The place is tiny (in a good way) and clearly everybody in there are regulars and friends with each other, you just picked up on that vibe. I am not sure what whiskey they put with my ginger ale but it definitely wasn't Jamo like I asked. Drank it anyway, it did the trick! Loved the ambiance & decorations and authentic Irish items (including a Kerry flag) and funny sayings all over the walls. Very interesting to look at from any angle! We will likely be back when we return to the area.“
“Man... Very good "bar food"I used to come here in the 90's when I was in my 20's and drank on Thursday and Friday nights. I don't think back then I really appreciated how good the food was. Today I had the burger and my wife had the shrimp plate, both were quite good. I do prefer a shorter burger I do actually fit in my mouth... But this was so good the gargantuan size can be forgiven. Also as a craft beer guy, THEY HAD TRILLIUM ON TAP!!! Hell I would have come just for the Trillium if I had known it was here, but the fact the food was good too! Yeah I'll be back wishing it was 1998 watching South Park at the bar like it was some kind of event. (Yeah 90's were different)“
“Love Jimmy’s Broad Street Diner! I usually order takeout from here and it’s quite affordable, plus the portions are big. Can’t get enough of the spanakopita (spinach pie) and the steak&cheese sub. The chop suey is delicious and well seasoned. Make sure to ask how you want it prepared, the owner is so kind and attentive.Wheelchair accessibility: No stairs“
“Warren’s is a local joint, with a bar, tables and booths. Known for its bar pizza and pub fare like burgers, tips, etc. It’s usually a good place to grab a quick bite, comfort food, with a relaxed pub atmosphere. Food tonight was good with a few hiccups. I ordered Beef Barley Soup and got Beef Stew. I like beef stew too so I just ate it. ( it was good). I also had a blt which was very good with tons of bacon. My wife ordered a salad and pepperoni pizza. Her pizza was good but a little greasy and her salad had a lot of brown wilted lettuce. She removed it and did not eat it. None of these bumps in the road would prevent me from returning.Dietary restrictions: I try and eat GF when I can but didn’t see any GF options on the menu like GF pizza or GF bread orrolls.“
“Great little breakfast place near where my niece lives in Weymouth. Great food, great service. Plenty of options on the menu. My niece said the eggs Benedict with corned beef hash was delicious. I had eggs, hash browns, sausage and french toast. All very good. Not 5 stars excellent food. But very good breakfast. Average prices. Plenty of seating. Lovely, clean bathrooms! Decent parking in lot. Definitely recommend. ?“
“Went to JST on 3/30/24 with large party. Server, Antoinette, who we learned has been there 20+ years, greeted us with a smile that lasted through her entire attentive service to our experience. With a new owner, the newly done decor would make TLC’s “Restaurant Impossible“ proud. The bar was full, but separated from the dining area, so that ambiance was alive but not overwhelming.Everyone at our table complimented the food presentation, flavor, and amount on their plates (Yes, doggy bags were requested at meals’ end.),The 2 plates of Calamari were golden in color and cooked just right. The accompanying tomato sauce was thick and hearty (“Just like Momma makes.”). We did sample each other’s plates (From their presentations, how could we not?). The meatballs were flavorful with the right hint of sausage. Spaghetti cooked to our discerning Italian Uncle’s complete approval. Salmon was generous and baked just right showing visual succulence, steaks tips were many and juicy. And the sausage cacciatore was so flavorfu, consumption only ended when the doggy bags arrived. We sampled and really enjoyed almost all of the decadent desserts including Crème Brûlée, Tiramisu, and Chocolate Lava Cake.Anthony, the manager, checked in with us more than once. He was affable without the overbearing of Artie from The Sopranos. We’ll definitely be back next week. The pricing was more than fair, and we can’t wait to try their breakfasts.Definitely recommend you go. You’ll be more than satisfied and happy and probably leave wondering “Why can’t they be open on Mondays?”“
“Middle ground is a great bar with friendly bartenders, well made drinks and goof food. Sean, Taylor and shay are friendly, engaging and professional and care a lot about their guests. They provide great service and drinks. They also do band nights and karaoke with Paul on Thursdays and Sundays. I highly recommend a visit.“
“The food here never disappoints. Had the seafood & truffle sacchetti and it was sensational! My husband had the grilled sirloin, which was also excellent. Bartenders make excellent cocktails and are friendly and engaging. Such a great spot!“
“Went to True North as a last minute idea because was in the area. Ate at the bar because we like chatting with the bartender and others. Chloe was very super friendly, attentive and offered a great suggestion when I asked. She recommended the baked stuffed haddock. Just wow! One of the best I've ever had. It was unique, flavorful and cooked to perfection. Never had a bad meal here.“
“Decided to stop in while driving by and everything was amazing! Food came out very quick and you could tell it was fresh, homemade and seasoned perfectly. Veggie omelette was stuffed full and delicious. Gluten free bread options and the portions are generous. Hash is home made and on the thicker side with onions mixed in but had good flavor. Coffee was also great. Our server was very friendly. She checked on us frequently and was very accomodating to our diet/health restrictions. Prices are to be expected for the area and the quality food you’re eating. They also have a full bar that we can’t wait try! 10/10 experience.“
“My wife & I had dinner tonight, she had baked haddock, and I had the baked scallops. Both were exceptional! Best scallop dinner ever! I have a culinary background and I am not sure what they add to make their scallops & breadcrumbs so succulent, but I recommend this dish! Great service and prices!“
“Used to frequent the Mansfield 99 when I was younger, stopped by this location when I moved to the area and have been coming back consistently since. Food is great and better than anything comparable for price, but the service and atmosphere are the difference maker. Frank and Gillian especially are amazing but the whole staff is beyond friendly will consistently make you feel welcome and treat you like family.“
“My fiancé and I moved to Weymouth a few months ago and one of the first places we went to eat was Johnny Kono's. At first, we were thrown off by how few tables there were, but once we settled in and the food started coming, it has become one of our favorite places to eat. The El Chapo wings are some of the best we've ever had, great spice and flavor with a some acidity to tie it all together. The burgers are incredible, even the Louis lunch burger, which although very simple, always is delicious. They really live up to their claim of being a "Five Star Dive Bar." We're excited to keep coming back and trying more menu items.“
