“WOWOW a must go in Boston. This place does not disappoint. Literally everything was delicious. All the appetizers were fried to perfection with a light tasting batter. The curry beef udon was SO GOOD. Savory and delicious. The curry taste was perfect, not overbearing. The udon was cooked well, not too soft nor hard. The kanten dessert was a nice and light dessert. Not too sweet. The decor inside is adorable. The flowers and banners really make a difference. It was a lil spot that made me feel like I was jumping into Japan. Service was fast. We didn't have to wait too long for our group of 6. Very accommodating. If you make a reservation, make sure to be on time. They are strict which is understandable because it's a small space. Super great! If you are in Boston, you gotta try this place!!“

“O Ya was a place I've been trying to get to for 3-4 years. On an episode of the youtube series Hot Ones where celebs eat progressively hotter wings Salma Hayek proclaimed O Ya as her favorite restaurant. When I heard it was a restaurant in Boston I knew I had to try it. Each piece was creatively constructed and layered with complimentary flavors. Pictured here is the entire 20 course omakase plus 1 extra (the umi toast). If you look at the image of the menu and zoom in there are additional items you can add to your courses. I asked the waiter if I went with just one what does he suggest and he said the umi toast and I'm happy he did. The umi toast was a crispy tangent that I really appreciated. There is a steep price tag to eat here, but you will be here for 2-2.5 hours so I think of it more like an edible art show. I had an amazing time here and I hope you do as well.Vegetarian options: My wife got the vegetarian omakase of 20 pieces and if I get back here sometime I want to try it. They put just as much effort into the vegetarian menu as they do the regular one. My wife was also really impressed with 99% of the vegetarian menu. The crushed ice shisho leaf was the one piece that wasn't her style, but I tasted it from her dish and thought it was delicious.“

After seeing a segment on TV, I really wanted to try the burger and it might be one of the top 5 burgers I've ever had (and I have had thousands). The Bao bun is just so good, as was the sauce and the pickles. Top it off with a side of duck fat fries and you have the perfect burger. We were there on a Monday night around 6:45 and the place was packed. The bar too. No pictures but I wish I had. Will definitely be back to try more of the menus.“

For our main course, we opted for the Chef's Selection Sushi and the Black Cod Miso. “Hold onto your taste buds, folks, because Omoto Garden isn’t just serving food; they’re dishing out an express ticket to a flavor fiesta! I ordered takeout, and let me tell you, it was like unboxing a treasure chest filled with culinary gems.First off, their sushi rolls - they must have a wizard in the kitchen because these rolls were magically delicious. Each piece was a perfect balance of rice, fish, and a secret ‘yum’ factor. And the presentation? Even in a takeout box, it looked like a masterpiece. The teriyaki chicken must have been marinated by angels. It was so tender and flavorful that I’m pretty sure my taste buds started a conga line. And the sauce - oh, the sauce! It deserves its own fan club.Don’t even get me started on the tempura. It was so crispy and light; I half expected it to float off my plate. It’s like they found a way to deep fry happiness. And the speed of delivery? I think their delivery person is part superhero, part ninja. The food arrived so fast and hot, I wondered if they teleported it to my doorstep. In conclusion, Omoto Garden’s takeout is a symphony of flavors that turns your living room into a five-star dining experience. “I had never heard of Shabu in Quincy until I saw it on instagram and thought it was a new restaurant. I saw they have a lunch buffet deal which is $39 for all you can eat hotpot. It is a very small restaurant with a bar area and probably 6 tables inside but thankfully when I went there were a few tables open. The price does not include the broth and they have some good options to pick from. I got the szechuan spicy and miso broth, which were both solid. I tried the sirloin beef, fatty beef, and regular beef and the sirloin beef was some of the best hotpot meat I have had. For $39, it may seem a little bit pricey but the quality of the ingredients is very high. The sirloin beef was better than some a la carte meat I have had at premium hotpot places. I got my usual hotpot ingredients such as noodles, watercress, enoki mushrooms, and different types of tofu and all were good. They don't have a sauce bar like they do at Chinese hotpot but they have a few ingredients where you can make your own sauce which although it was simple, was very tasty. This place is really good but I wish they did dinner buffet since I prefer other places for a la carte hotpot. Overall, really solid spot, friendly and quick service, and it was a satisfying meal.“

“Standard Japanese restaurant for you to stop by. The vibe was not very "Japanese", but could get away in the Asian theme in general. They offer variety of dishes that you would find from a Japanese restaurant, curry, noodles, katsu, sushi, sashimi, nigiri etc.The sushi/sashimi plate I ordered was ok. Some of the served fish were in room temperature leaning toward the warmer side, which is a bit unsatisfied, however, their textures and freshness were good, no bad smell or squishy texture.Rice was reasonably seasoned to what you expected. The price was a bit high in my opinion (~$35 net per plate), but not too high that you cant bring friends over. The restroom was clean. The waiter/waitress were very active. Small note: they took my plate and cheque my table right away when I put down my chopsticks, even though no line or anything (I was the only customer at the time) I was genuinely going to get a dessert, but maybe for another time :)“

“Recommend their Korean fish cake soup and barley tea and the rice punch. The purple potato fries are also good. It's nice that they open late and you can order Uber eats from this place for late night snacks. The soup complements the food. And their food always seem to be freshly made and prepped carefully. Although there were times they miss parts of the order from time to time, you can see they do pay close attention to details for food preparation. Not sure why they got a bad review from someone saying the price is steep. Compared to other places, the price is okay. They also have deals on Uber eats pretty often and they are more like tapas style snacks, which I think is at the right price and nice when you get combos to try variety of food. I think it would be nice to have an option for rice punch with pulp. Not sure why but maybe they got complaints about the rice pulp in the rice punch by some people who don't understand that it's supposed to have rice in it and can't appreciate the drink as it's supposed to be. But it doesn't feel whole without bits of rice pulp.“
