I've driven by this place dozens of times and never paid it any mind. Decided to order up a bar pie to go just to try it out, and hot damn. This place is a hidden gem. Ambiance inside looked typical New England townie place, families eating at tables on one side, grown folks drinking and chit chatting at the bar on the other side. Been here twice. Great food. The bar service is fast and friendly. They ask your first name and remember it. The evening vibe is different than the lunch (breakfast?) vibe....but who is complaining about the hours of operation, not me! Kono's slogan is "Five Star Dive Bar". I agree!
