“We were looking for a place to stop to eat on the way home from DC. So happy we found Bon Fresco! We got the London Broil sandwich and the Fresh Mozz and Tomato sandwich. Both were fantastic! We ate them so fast we forgot to take pictures! The bread was perfect. Soft on the inside and crispy on the outside. If we weren't full we could have eaten multiple of each. The staff was very friendly and the service was fast and pleasant. There are plenty of tables to sit down and eat and the ambiance was that of a deli. We loved it! If we are ever back in Columbia, MD we will definitely hit up Bon Fresco again!!“
“I stopped by yesterday after leaving the vet with my dog and my mom. We enjoyed the atmosphere and the very friendly staff. The cinnamon roll, confetti muffin, and iced coffee were great! My dog was also given a pup cup. I'm really excited for the weather to warm up so I can sit outside and enjoy their patio space. I can see myself stopping by more often in the future.“
“This bake shop is one of my very favorite places and this review is long overdue. Wonderful sandwiches, and the baked goods are to die for. The sandwich menu is pretty consistent and some baked goods are made each day. However most baked goods are made in small batches and vary day to day. There are specials-one of my favorites is the griddled Mac and cheese. Today was a Lord of the Rings celebration with Samwise stew! I also scored a King cake brioche donut and a tiramisu croissant. I am in heaven!“
“Vegetarian options: Stopped in to get Easter dinner for my sister and nephew who are both vegan. I purchased crabcakes, spinach, and mushroom tarts, kale, Caesar salad, and several desserts. They raved about everything. My nephew kept saying how delicious it was.“
“This the best donuts I have ever had! Those donuts not just delicious, they are perfect, beautiful treat to feel yourself with happiness! The also have different promotional offer - so, today I received a free makeup gift which is full size bottle of foundation, is not it amazing! Love you, guys, and ready to spend 45 minutes to drive!“
“Best croissant I've ever tasted, and I spent two weeks in Paris. The focaccia was to die for, and the baguette was over the top. The ethical standards they uphold in both sourcing ingredients and selling are the highest. Even the cocoa, coffee and chai were all delicious. I look forward to sampling the entire menu. Run, don't walk to Motzi Bread.Vegetarian options: to my knowledge this is a vegan bakery“
“Quality food, good ambience. Our standby for 40 years had been Ikaros a block away, but the owner had to close due to health problems. This was recommended to us as the new best, and it didn’t disappoint. Wine, saganaki and moussaka were all incredible. Wish I had tried the calamari. Only thing that was not incredible was the bread served at table. I’m a bread snob, and while this wasn’t awful, it was merely ok. I would have preferred a thicker, fresher bread and olive oil for dipping, or traditional greek flat bread.“
“I had no idea what we were in for. What a pleasant surprise! You know it's an exceptional spot when there is a swarm of people continuously going in and out--nonstop. Busy, busy, busy! When you walk in you are serenaded with easy acoustic music and your nose goes in overdrive due to the numerous sweet aromas--chai, espresso, cakes, breads and pastries. The back and right sides are areas deemed for sitting, gathering, studying and...eating! The cash wrap is in the middle section and the items for sale are on the left. There is NO direction or signs on how or what to do when you get in so I figured I'd make my review a bit of a guide: If you're here solely for picking up an order, making a custom order, grabbing a slice of cake or for coffee, you can go straight to the cash wrap. If you are here for pastries (etc.), you'll start on the left. This area is self-serve. Grab a tray, a tray liner and OPEN the little disinfectant oven container to grab a pair of tongs. Brace yourself. You are now ready to turn around into the abyss of desserts. DON'T THINK ABOUT CALORIES. DON'T THINK ABOUT BEING JUDGED FOR ADDING 100 TREATS TO YOUR TRAY. TREAT YO'SELF. Along the wall are breads, coffee beans, and other bagged items. The containers in the middle of the section contains all the freshly made items which you can open yourself and use your tongs to place them on your tray. Each item has a display card that includes ingredients and calorie information. If you want to remember what you selected, take a picture because the packaging is not English. *In addition to the pastries, there are cakes and cake pieces--cake pieces are only available until they last--you MUST try one. Cakes is what Tous Les Jours excels at. The cake section is on the left side of the cash wrap. If you want cake, you'll order it at the cash wrap. I tried the sweet potato pastry (5/5), the melon bread (2/5), strawberry shortcake (2/5), chai tea (3/5), milk crème bread (5/5), strawberry yogurt cake (5/5). It is officially my favorite bakery.“
“Our cake was absolutely amazing! Sarah was great with communication and really easy to work with. We requested a strawberry shortcake with fresh strawberries and a custom icing design, and she did such a wonderful job. I (the bride) was the only vegan at the wedding, and everyone said it was one of the best wedding cakes they've ever had. I highly recommend Sarah if you're looking for something delicious and allergen friendly!“
“What a find! When in Baltimore’s Little Italy be sure to stop in at the Ovenbird Bakery! They are super friendly & helpful and their bread is delicious! I’d recommend the olive sourdough bread. I’ve been toasting mine and eating it with a variety of toppings. Yum!They have sandwiches and other bread choices... Be aware that the deli closes at 3:00 and that discounts on some purchases occur after 2:00. There is also “day old” bread that you can purchase. If it isn’t sold, they donate it. Isn’t that wonderful?! I myself, love to make homemade croutons or bruschetta.Street parking availability depends on the day & time.I’d suggest making a day of your visit to Little Italy.Parking: Free street parking during the day not far from the bakery.“
“I absolutely love this bakery. I found them when we were looking for someone to do gluten free for our wedding. Their service was great and our cake and cupcakes were delicious. They even helped us figure out the design we wanted. Since then we come here regularly for special occasion desserts, or just for a treat.“
“Great price for some good pastries. I liked the passion fruit and the ham and cheese (although I wish it was a bit heavier on the cheese) the most. The rest of the pastries purchased were good, but nothing that was fantastic. Overall, they do a good job just not something I would cross the city for. But if I lived closer, I'd visit agin.“
“This must be a popular place as two different Baltimore friends have brought me here. The first time, we came in the late afternoon and almost everything was out. This time, we got here earlier. I was told to get the quesadillas! Interestingly, they were nothing like quesadillas. They seemed like little circular corn muffins with some cheese. They were very moist and delicious. I never leave a bakery with just one type of item. The cronuts were good. They were a little sweeter than I would like. What stole the show was the cream puff. It's hard to make bad cream puffs. I appreciated that the cream was not too sweet at all.“
“I ordered a 24 pack of mini cupcakes for my sister’s birthday and they were a hit! The owner was quick to respond to my emails and was very easy to communicate with. The cupcakes were so moist and you could tell that they were baked with love. Would most definitely recommend for parties, or just for a sweet snack!“
“Great place for pizza pickup. We ordered the spicy pepperoni, chicken, and half and half for take away. All were fantastic. The crust is a highlight, perfect mix of crispy, chewy, and char that rivals the best crust in the city. The pizza is pricy but well worth the cost.“
“Baltimore seems to like these food courts where local eateries offer up all sorts of taste treats to the public. This particular food court is blessed to be where some truly great Baltimore dining establishments have their footprints. This time around, I ate noodles and tempura from Ejji Ramen, and I ate lemon cake from Atwater's. But in addition to those two companies, there are 14 other great eating and drinking establishments one can choose from for breakfast, lunch, or early dinner. It's not a fancy place; but the food is great.“
“So unassuming, but this must be hands down the best breakfast sandwich I've had anywhere else nearby. Can't help but notice the display of pastries and treats, you can bet I'll be back to give them a try! Don't bother with the boring, dime-a-dozen chains nearby, you'll be glad to have checked this place out.“
“Chill vibe, plenty seating and a nice patio !I got the pumpkin brûlée and it was the one ! So moist, sweet and fluffy. Beautiful presentation and the packaging is great too !Very nice service and welcomingOn the counter they have more pastries for a low price. I couldn’t resist an apple croissant and it was as crispy as it was flaky ! Truly a great treatParking: Lot of student housing and residential in the area“
“This is an awesome bakery! I ordered a bridal shower cake, and it was perfect! Every detail that I requested was made! Not only was the cake beautiful, it was delicious! There were many compliments given! I recommend this bakery for all of your special occasions. The cookies are also divine!“
“Orderd Italian cold cut, Best I've had in the area. Ordered two pizzas ?. White & pepperoni. Both very good, love the crust& white pizza great flavor, with Mozzarella, Grana Padano & Ricotta cheeses & Garlic & Olive oil. This was our 1st visit. We will definitely be back. Love this place. Can't wait to try other dishes. HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PLACE!!!“
“We recently discovered Sweet 27, had driven by many times but never stopped. We were getting tired of our same favorite spots and decided to try something new. They did not disappoint! Family owned, which we love supporting. Food was very good and different things on the menu that I had not seen on other Indian restaurant menus. Vegan bakery is excellent! Highly recommend trying! One of the owners helped us so kind and warm.“
“They have the best cookies ever! Their not too sweet yet soft and chewy. Butter Crunch and Butter Pecan are my favorite hands down!Parking: They are located on a narrow side street but I parked directly in front of the store and was in and out quickly. Also friendly staff!“
“The Breadery is so much more than meets the eye. Tucked away in Oella, it's perfect location on the Trolley Trail that travels into Ellicott City or back to Catonsville. The water bowl for your "fur-baby" outside is the first reason to stop in.The fresh bakery smell is intoxicating. From sweet treats such as a croissant or a muffin are great to continue your journey. The artisan and traditional fresh loaves of bread & rolls are hard to choose from. But then there is more with fresh local coffee, the oil and vinegar tap room and recently a fine cheese collection. There is also an impressive wine collection. You can literally make this a one stop shop for all of my favorite things!!!“
“Staci helped us with our wedding cake order. Fabulous experience with booking, delivery, taste and presentation! We had a 10" round almond cake with amaretto raspberry filling and French buttercream icing for our "personal" cutting cake. We also had a half sheet yellow/chocolate cake with cannoli filling and French buttercream icing for our serving cake (cut behind the scenes). We had 75 guests and we had about 20 servings leftover.“
“The pastries all look so incredible but be prepared to pay quite a bit for them. The coffee and drinks are more reasonably priced so I’d recommend going there and just getting drinks and maybe splitting one of their pastries. They had a fair crowd on a Sunday morning but didn’t take too long to get our food and drinks. I see this more of a special occasion or date spot.“
“Georgia Grace Cafe is 5/5 in every way! Everything I’ve had there is absolutely delicious and you can just taste how fresh everything is. The atmosphere is super cute and matches the vibe of Historic Ellicott City perfectly. If you’re looking for a healthy breakfast or lunch, GG is the way to go!“
“Food and service are all impeccable, but I really have to hand it to them, the atmosphere here is on point. I feel like I'm in the Twin Peaks diner whenever I'm there eating pie and sipping on coffee. It's homey, it's cozy, it feels like a staple of the community with the dog treats and local coffee. I wish they had more flexible hours, because I usually can't stop in after work. However, as Saturday morning treat, there's no where better to get savory and sweet pies.“
“Great place to get donuts, desserts and breakfast/lunch food. I’ve been getting donuts from here for years and have always enjoyed them. They have many different donut options including limited time holiday ones. I’ve gotten cakes from here before for special events and have never been disappointed, they are Delicious. I highly recommend trying this bakery, and I promise you will not be disappointed!“
“THIS ONE! This is the bakery you want your cake from! An all owned woman bakery??that made it more fun to order from! I ordered the Oreo cake but in a larger size & they accommodated us. They made arrangements so easy as I was coordinating out state for a dinner party I was hosting in Baltimore & delivery charge was so reasonable & the cake was GORGEOUS! My guests are STILL talking about how delicious it was! Thank you Codetta Bakery!!“
“Absolutely delicious plant based and vegan food. The "fish" sandwich was out of this world and so was the "seafood" Mac and cheese. Can't wait to go back down and try more meals when I'm in the area.Vegetarian options: All food is plant based and or vegan“
“Karen did an excellent job providing cookie decorating kits for our winter alumni event. Everything was so thoughtfully put together--the packaging was neat and easy to transport, she included instructions on how to decorate the cookies (and an ingredients list for allergens!), and she included these adorable snowman spreading tools to help us place the frosting. She even helped me carry all of the goods to my car! On top of that, she was quick to respond to all of our questions about the kits and coordinate a pickup time. Everyone at the event had a great time and commented on how delicious the cookies were. Thank you so much, Karen!“
“The BREAD!!! If you know, you know.........we have loved the food and service from Bon Fresco for many years and both are absolutely spectacular. Everyone raves about the london broil sandwich (rightfully so) but all their sandwiches, salads, soups, and deserts have been top notch.“
“I love supporting small businesses and the confetti cake bar makes good cupcakes! The cake is really fluffy, spongy and delicious and I'm more of a frosting girl usually. The frosting had much to be desired and they're a bit overpriced overall. If they were equally as good I'd be willing to pay more. However, they lots of flavor options and a very friendly staff.“
“I absolutely love the place. If you have a sweet tooth, it’s the place. I would recommend Tres leches cake and waffles with fruits( my personal favorites). I like the breakfast menu too!!! Coffee is also great! The Valentine’s Day cakes and cookies looked and tasted so delectable.“
“Went to Cakes in the City when my boss needed a large sheet cake for his mom's surprise party - Cassaundra was amazing at making the design requests come to life and my boss swears it's the best cake he's ever had :) highly recommend for anyone looking for friendly, efficient, and caring service in the DMV area!!“
“Ordered a fabulous chocolate tart and box of cookies for the holidays. My guests raved about the quality. The icing on the cake is how kind and thoughtful the owners were working with me and it was all prepared at a reasonable cost point. Can't wait to order again!“
“Chain-store vibes but a better selection and quality than your Panera's. Harbor location is very nice.Vegetarian options: Their only vegan friendly item according to the server was, iirc, the focaccia bread. Plenty of non-meat dishes for vegetarians.“
“Absolutely adorable cafe with excellent customer service! Food and coffee was excellent. This is a hidden gem! We had the Easter special French Toast stuffed with carrot cake and it was heavenly! The crispy chicken picante and fries were perfect!“
“Major props for treating gluten free bread as the half-sized slices they are. This is the first place I've been to that spreads the sandwich contents across two small sandwiches. Every other place either attempts to stuff the insides onto puny slices (rarely) or more likely, simply gives you less. In those places, not only are you paying through the nose for GF bread, but you then get less food for the privilege. NOT SO at Atwater's. On top of delicious creations, you also get generous servings and can enjoy your meal like anyone else. Coincidentally had two meals in 3 days here and will be back!Dietary restrictions: GF“
“Kim is a Magician!! If you’re in the DMV area and are thinking about getting custom cookies this is your place!!! Kim did an amazing job with my son’s Five Guys themed cookies. She is very professional and turns your vision into reality. I told her exactly what I wanted and she exceeded all expectations. The ordering and delivery process was fast, easy and hassle free. She even offered to meet half way and added an extra cookie with my son’s pic on it for his big day. Will definitely be coming back!!!“
“Ordered some brownies that were very delicious and I'm not a typical brownie lover but these were great. Ordered an 8-inch lemon cake that was very moist with tasty butter cream icing. Email communication regarding my order when I had questions was responsive and positive.“
“What a treat it is to have this baker in Baltimore. Truly incredible pastries, bread, and customer service that keep you looking forward to a Saturday morning treat. I recommend putting some of the bread in the freezer for when you forget to place an order. ;) Thank you Baker's Tin, for all of your tasty treats!“
“Very lovely experience here! I was able to pick up a cake for my friend and the staff was very patient and helpful. They answered any questions I had. We all really enjoyed the cake and have plans to come back and try the mocha flavor cake some time. The store is very clean and easy to get to as well.“
“Groovy food hall(ish) place. Atwaters is generally my go to, but I have picked up exotic chocolates and a seafood club sandwich (hard to stop eating it long enough to wipe my lips with a napkin). Cell service is a little funky, but they have free wifi just in case.“
“I love The Avenue Bakery's warm atmosphere , friendly staff and the delightful smell of fresh baked delicious treats. My family and I are always pleased with everything we purchase especially the sweet potato pies, bread pudding and wheat rolls all are outstanding !!“
“Truly excellent bread, perfect balance of crusty shell and soft, light crumb inside, even the rye! I can't describe how delicious the carrot cake was, just try it you won't regret it. I am so glad to find this excellent, local, and multicultural bakery! If I lived closer I'd actually go every “
“This is an iconic place with the best of baked goods from tarts to croissants, tarte tatin, every French pastry. Delectable all. I don't get there often, but if you want choice, try to get there before 10. If I did go there often, you would not be able to get in because my body would be big enough to block the door!“
“What a find. Lots of good bakeries but this place is elite. There’s always a line out the door as there are specific times in the day the breads will be baked. Check their website for details. Otherwise you very well could end up getting there when no inventory is left. This place is awesome.“
