The grease was filthy. My food was overcooked and nasty. I wasted my time and money. I gave it away.

I ordered the three piece trout meal online via Hip Hops website; it is supposed to come with cole slaw, bread, fries (thats what the website states).Under the special instructions, I asked that my fish be "fried hard,with extra seasoning and to substitute the fries with a cole slaw", and that I be given ketchup and hot sauce. I also orderd a 22 oz drink. I recieved a small drink, no slaw, hard fries and unseasoned fish; and no ketchup or hot sauce only tarta sauce (who asked for tartar sauce?) I would assume that whoever takes the order either cant read at all or struggles with reading English. Nonetheless, I called because I paid for a large drink but was given a small. I was placed on a long hold before someone came to the phone. The man then proceeded to tell me that it was the drivers fault, he must have mixed up the drinks; I was fine with that explanation but the driver works for Hip Hop. I didn't order thru door dash, uber eats, etc, I ordered directly via their website, so the driver works for them. As such, they are under obligation to make it right. Instead of listening, the man begin to loud talk me as he continued to tell me it was a delivery driver issue. The call ended with me letting them know that I will be there after work with my receipt and cup showing what I paid for versus what i got, expecting a free drink or refund...their choice. This was the Hip Hop on Eutaw Street, across from the State office building.

This location is a disappointment. Are going here to pick up an order. Not acknowledged for quite some time until one of the back order individuals come because the gentleman is right at the front is on the phone with his head down like all he has to do is take phone orders. Order the same thing that I ordered from the location off route 40. Received a different amount of food as well as the quality of the food was different. So between the service and this food I wish I could get a refund

I really should went to the Asian folks across the street. Trust your instincts! Anyway I went, ordered fish, got home and found chicken wings. Went back at the guy yells at me saying it was my fault that I was took the bag that he handed to me. He fixes the order of fish which is nice crispy, but inside is dry old fish- SMH. Now I’ve had Hip Hop at another location and I would give it five stars, but this spot- nah, man. Not a ever again.

Great food, nice, fast and friendly service. I did not have exact change and would have had to break 100 for 17 cents but the owner kindly told me not to worry about it and while I was waiting I saw him do the same thing for another guy in the same position and he has givin me exercise for free before which I was very thankful for.. they're overall very nice good people and the food is good..

Stopped by to pick up lunch for my family around 12:15 pm today only to be disappointed when I got home. I ordered a chicken combo (3 wings & 3 legs) with fries, (5 wings & 5 legs) with fries, and okra and macaroni & cheese ala carte. The chicken is extremely dry and tastes old because the skin was hard and tough to chew. And other pieces of the chicken's skin were soft and bald in various places. Which would indicate that the chicken was battered improperly.However, I did call the store and spoke to Mohammed. He asked me to bring it back and he'd replace it. This is such an inconvenience because I've made it home and cannot go back there today. As a result, we're still without lunch for today. SMH.From now on, I'll make sure to check my food before leaving the restaurant. I've worked in restaurant and retail management for over 30 years and I would never serve or sell anything that I wouldn't eat. Check and recheck before serving to ensure accuracy and quality.
