“Yia Yia's is a true gem, a short distance away from College Park. I always go here when I'm in the area and it never fails. Large portions, fresh and delicious food. Their big fat gyro and their spanakopita are awesome and I definitely recommend this place.”
“I ordered the Curry Chicken, rice and peas with plantains and I was pleasantly surprised at how DELICIOUS the food was. Everything was fresh, hot, tasty and so full of authentic Jamaican flavor. The food was Excellent, it was so good I could not stop eating. I have not had Jamaican food this good in many years! I have definitely found a gem and will be visiting or ordering often. I highly recommend D&D Caribbean Kitchen, you will not be disappointed. Thank you D&D, you guys set the bar high. My rating is 100 Stars ?”
“I rarely give out 5 for anything but these ladies rock! From tacos to breakfast burritos it’s all good. The home made salsa is…home made! It looks a little rough around the edges but for me that is the charm.”
“In Maryland, this place is as good as it gets for Korean Chinese food. You can’t compare it to best Korean Chinese food restaurants in Korea because it’s just not a fair comparison but what they do well here, they know how to do like the spicy noodle (짬뽕) and fried chicken (깐풍기). Their jjampong soup is delicious, with the right amount of spice and seafood flavor in it to give you that kick but also a taste of the ocean. Their fried chicken is most unique kkanpoongi I have ever had as it’s in like a lollipop shape like they advertise and the crispy, crunch, juiciness of the chicken is phenomenal. I would venture to say that’s their best and signature dish. The black bean noodle (짜장면) is average as the sauce is not rich enough. The noodles are handmade which is a nice touch as well and you can see the noodle chef working behind the tinted glass. Overall ambience has really improved after they remodeled and servers are friendly and attentive. It’s just a proper well run neighborhood restaurant and nobody comes close to this in Maryland.”
“This place is a little hard to find but definitely worth the effort. Great Mexican food and fantastic service. The servings are huge, I think the queso dip could serve 8 people. Margaritas were okay but beers from the giant cooler of beer were cold and refreshing.”
“OMG!!!! I am ashamed admit that this is my very first time at Swahili?! How on earth as a loud and proud, real African American is this my 1st visit to Swahili?!! Perhaps it's because I heard about my girl Jordan! Jordan the bartender is the bomb.com!! Great music, great suya and the service is good. We were lucky to secure seats at the bar, before it was jammed packed by 11pm. If you have a larger party, make reservations!”
“The taste is alright, but it seems a bit pricey for standard dishes. We ordered galbitang, and they were generous with the meat, but gamjatang only had two pieces of meat :(”
“This is still the best place in Beltsville to eat, and the best rotisserie chicken by far. The dining area could use some sound deadening material. The alfajores used to be melt-in-your-mouth delicious. They're still good, but not like they used to be.Go, eat. You won't be disappointed.”
“I love Remington's. The service is always great. The food is amazing... especially their pizza! I got the steak-n-cheese pizza this time. The sweet potato fries and the dipping sauce were on point. I took a picture of the fries and crushed the pizza (so there was no picture). Everyone is friendly and helpful. The atmosphere is inviting.Parking: There are spaces all around the building. Sometimes, it can get a little tight, so you may have to park on the street.”
“The place appears a bit off the beaten path when you get to it, but fortunately there is parking and it’s easy to find. Was welcomed by the bartender who served as the waiter, cashier, host and generally Jack of all trades. I even thought he was going to be making our meal. Fortunately the chef was busy in the back and clearly knew the craft. There are not enough good things to say about the meal which started off with an appetizer of authentic Kenyan sausages, which are the best in the world, hands-down. This was then followed by goat curry (mbuzi) with kale (sukuma wiki) and ugali (maizemal) which tasted as if it had been made straight from a kitchen back in Nairobi. They even had fresh pili pili (green hot pepper) on the side for that extra kick. Will definitely visit again and wash the meal down with the frothy waters of Belgium. The seating was comfortable and the televisions were not too loud. They even had a pool table for those so inclined to mix games with a good meal.Definitely top five in my book & is highly recommended. Will have to try something else from the menu next time.”
“5 Tried this Bangladeshi restaurant near Silver Spring called Maurya Kebabs and Curries....its a hole in the wall kinda place, nothing fancy but good food. Tried their lunch buffet.....had goat curry, cabbage curry, butter chicken along with Naan and pulao rice.....loved it. Definitely try them out. Shibani manages the front along and Desmond cooks up the delicacies”
“I love this place, The service is great and the food is even better! The pupusas were so so good and I couldn’t recommend them more. The veggie burrito and plantains were also excellent.”
“20/10 experience! Miya Lounge has incredibly tasty African food, great artwork, amazing customer service, and an inviting atmosphere. I had the okra soup with gari & goat meat with rice, it was MOUTH WATERING! I absolutely recommend trying out this restaurant, you will not be disappointed!”
“Everything they prepare is super delicious, I especially love the mangonada and the best thing is that I can consume it without regret because it is pure nutrition, plus the service is excellent, highly recommended.”
“I can depend on this coffee shop to deliver a delicious cup of coffee every time. The other shops I’ve gone to aren’t very consistent but that’s never an issue here. Great coffee and wonderful staff.”
