“Growing up in the area this place has been a treat for our family. Good memories here. Years ago, pre-pandemmy when the dining room was open, I used to go here with my pops on occasion. If you get your chicken hot and fresh it's CRISPY and nothing has ever come close to how good it is. The lady who helps you when you pick up a carry-out order is so sweet. Please tip her!! If you like General Tsos but want to branch out, get the sesame beef. It's my favorite dish. Panda Xpress' crab rangoons do not stand a CHANCE against Golden Star's cheese wontons. Thanks for being a staple of my childhood <3 I'm moving out soon and will miss you!”

“There was 3 (three) young ladies working behind the counter and each one was smiling, courteous and friendly! They worked as a team and the line moved very smoothly. I was in and out in no time. The store was well kept, neat and clean. This was one of the nicer subways I have been to.”

“Sat at the bar- a nice, low-key atmosphere. The bartender was attentive and upbeat. For the vodka drinkers who order the Pineapple Fusion, be aware that it may sneak up on you. Anytime we dine here, we always get the crab dip, which I especially like bc it's served in a bread bowl. ? I appreciated that the crab cakes did not contain fillers.? The steak in my surf and turf was flavorful and tender- butter knife tender. I would definitely order it again.”

My family and I host a lot of social gatherings and we have tried other afghan restaurants but for authentic cuisine and friendly afghan customer service there’s no beating Dunya. The owner (Mr. Abbasi) is a pleasure to do business with and extremely honest and more than fair in all his dealings which makes him our go to guy for all our families catering needs.”

Our waiter Ben was great especially dealing with my Karen request (very light on the natala & no whip cream). Will definitely be returning to try the Mexican crape. To parents with very young children, please remember that you & your child are not the only persons in a very small building. Didn't enjoy our breakfast & company until they left”
