“We frequent this place as it’s the closest to our neighborhood. The service is very friendly always. The food is good quality and made with good quality ingredients. The inside of the restaurant is a bit too cold, but that’s my only gripe. If you carry out your food, my only piece of advice is to get it right away. Don’t let it sit too long or it won’t be as tasty :)“
“We booked a private room for our daughter's birthday. The service was excellent (very pleasant). The sushi and sashimi was so tasty. I enjoyed the red bean mochi. They brought an ice cream platter and sang happy birthday too. Also the clientele was very kind and wished our daughter Happy Birthday on the way out as well. Great experience!“
“This is our family favorite japanese restaurant. We always go about twice a month. The food is awesome. We love sushi rice as it has tasted by itself. Sashimi comes with a wonderful premium grade and fresh. We never had bad experience with fish which is some of the restaurants may have like smell fishy or not fresh.Cheesecake on the house is the best and represent how kind of service.Really enjoy it everything and every time we spend there.“
“Wonderful restaurant! The owner is so kind and the sushi is amazing! They do salmon belly in the Baltimore Roll, which I've never had before but I will crave it every time I come home to Maryland! Great rolls and great other stuff too!!!“
“This restaurant offers a variety of options that cater to most taste buds. The food is reasonably priced and service is good. I came here to celebrate a family member’s birthday and the service was excellent. Our server, Brenden, made some great recommendations and ensured our food came out on time. We ordered the dumplings, chicken steam bun, cloud shrimp and fried chicken (Karaage) as appetizers. All were very great. We also ordered the Taipei Curry Chicken ramen, Brontosaurus bowl, Brussels & Squash, shrimp and pork belly steam buns as our entrees; all were filling and delicious. I think the curry chicken ramen could use more depth flavors; I added chili oil and mushrooms which were good additions. I also wish the chicken in the ramen was different than the chicken thighs offered as an appetizer. It made me feel like I was eating the same protein for my appetizer and entree. They have a nice drink menu; we all ordered the Last Samurai; which was tasty. I wish it came in a larger glass.I was disappointed they ran out of the miso cooking dessert but I’m looking forward to returning to try it. All in all; I would return. It’s a nice and cozy spot. They have an area where you can sit and watch the kitchen make the food as you dine.Parking: Parking can be scarce during busy times but there is street parking“
“This place has one heck of an atmosphere! Walls are decorated to make the place look as Japanese as possible. TV was on, playing a Japanese TV network. The restaurant had a visible food preparation area where the sushi chefs enthusiastically did their work. Restaurant did not pinch pennies on the waiters' and chefs' uniforms. The restaurant is on the corner of a row of several adjacent buildings and I liked their use of their window space. Once you open the door, the entrance is well-decorated, too. The podium the host stands behind is oddly situated, but they are making their best use of a small space, so no points taken off. The restroom was clean. I ordered escolar, toro, orata, and chicken katsu. All more than acceptable quality. I did not like the katsu sauce, but I think that's just a personal preference matter. They threw in some extra food- tuna in a circular configuration with some other elements I couldn't figure out- which I guess worked, since I'm here, writing this five-star review! Plates were high-quality, and designed to make the food more presentable.“
“❤️I just wanna say our server Myatt is sooo nice! Even it was quite busy and she needed to take care of many tables at the same time, she still kept trying to take good care of our food and drinks, keeping eyes on our table and helping take away of the trash and empty plates almost every single second.❤️the food here was also amazing !【meat】Prime Kalbi short-rib?????beef tongue?????yakiniku????Harami skirt steak???Pork belly???Filet mignon????【salad】Gyu-Kaku Salad????【desert】LadyM Green tea Cake????【drink】Coconut flavor cocktails ?❤️the ambiance here is awesome !its a really good place for friends, family or couples to come and enjoy together, u can experience cooking the meat by urself, and it's very easy, all u just need to manage the time when cooking different kinds of meat.last but not least, it literally deserves a try. ?“
“Food:The sushi here is so good. It's some of the best I've had since moving to Baltimore. My favorite (so far) is the R (Roll) Lewis. The unagi and soft shell crab are also wonderful.Service:The server was attentive, never letting our water run out. Our food came out quickly, and the extra roll we ordered before we left arrived fast and packaged well.Atmosphere:We didn't get to see the whole restaurant, as we sat near the entrance. The chair felt a bit uncomfortable. But other than that, the atmosphere was pleasant and inviting.“
“Perfect location for some comfort ramen!! Located literally right next to John’s Hopkins University, Kajiken is ideal for students, visitors, locals who are craving a savory, hot meal. The noodles are made in house and the veggies taste so fresh!! The broth was heart warming and the ambience isn’t loud and distracting, but not library quiet so having a meal with friends would be perfect!“
“From a takeout perspective, ordered the 20 piece sushi dinner but I think there was a mix up and we got 20 pieces of sashimi instead. Didn't realize until we got home. Sashimi was good but the sushi was a win. When dining, it's a casual small restaurant with a casual ambiance. Appears often busy and well located. The miso and clear soup are fresh and hot. Would recommend the sunset sushi roll. Vegetarian options were less thrilling.“
“By far the best food and service you will get dining at BWI. The rolls are all freshly made and better quality than you will get at most sushi restaurants. The servers are attentive and you can actually get service quickly, unlike most airport restaurants. A variety of high quality sake options, as well as Japanese beers.“
“Don't come at me for liking this place. Yes it's expensive. Yes the view of the lake is nice and calming. Yes the servers aren't Japanese even if it's a Japanese restaurant. Yes it's right near Whole Foods which is probably part of why it's expensive. In comparison to the other sushi restaurants in the area, I think this place has enough ambiance things going on to justify the price. Also where else am I going to get eel avocado with that much green on it and thickly sliced eel? Salmon sashimi (ate it too quick) was thick, melt in the mouth, and delicious. Tempura udon was pretty good too. Went here for lunch and will probably be back!“
“Staff was excellent also the chefs are alot of fun to watch prepare my food and talk with,The food and management was 10 out 10.Strongly recommend this place.Dietary restrictions: Allergic to avocados totally AccommodatedI am not a vegetarian....“
“Good food but my friend and I felt rushed as the woman hostess kept asking if we were done twice when we visibly had food still on our plates. Nice atmosphere and good sushi just need to be mindful of rushing customers especially when it’s not “
“I like eating here and any of the other branches of Sushi Q because you always know what you're gonna get if you dine in: miso soup, sushi, and a small cheesecake dessert in a consistently clean/ minimalist space. It's not the fanciest sushi in the area, but sometimes I just want to eat a whole bunch of eel avocado roll and that's what I can get here fresh and affordable. I like to dabble here and there with some of their specialty rolls, but they do my favorite kind so well. Service is scientifically efficient and food can take a little while to prepare, but I'm not usually in a big rush. There's always a line out the door for online/mobile orders. When dining in, there's hardly ever a wait even though it can get crazy busy during dinner. They also have good lunch specials here. We will be back for more.“
“If you live in the local area, this place is a no-frills sushi place with pretty quick service and pretty presentation. My partner and I like to go here mid-week for dinner when we don't feel like cooking. All of the seats are wooden booth seating, which I really like. The waiters are professional and attentive, but don't circle back too often. The sushi we order doesn't have too much rice packed on like other places. On our most recent trip, I got the unagi don and he got the pork katsu curry. We will be back!“
“Food was delicious and the service was super good. Enjoyed the quiet atmosphere where you can enjoy a good conversation. Definitely a good place to enjoy some quality sushi with friends and family~! Highly recommend it! Owings Mills roll was really good~“
“It's been a long time since I've been to Aloha Sushi in Baltimore, since before the pandemic. decided to try them for lunch and the experience was good! apparently the sushi roller, Rajesh, is back, after they changed management. I had the lunch special for the Salmon roll, the tuna role and the Boston roll! it was good and hit the spot. definitely coming back for a date, Mount Vernon is one of my favorite spots.“
“Awesome experience! I had super hot and gooey takoyaki, had a great bowl of udon with a very rich broth (off menu too, was offered by the server), and was given a complementary chilled cinnamon tea for desert. The server and staff was incredibly friendly. Definitely worth a stop if you’re in the “
“I got door dash. It was sooo yummy. I got the beef and shrimp with noodles rice and veggies. It's worth the upcharge, at least to me. Quite large portion. Also, I got some cooked rolls. I enjoyed it all. Enough to order the same exact thing a second time. It was more than enough for 2. Probably 3 easy! ** A trick I figured out for myself. Up to you, of course! I did get the dash pass for 9.99. It saved me more than the price I would have paid. I canceled afterwards but still got the perks for a month, which saved me even more in the long run.** The 3 bucks off was a discount from them, from their point system. DOORDASH did get me on the tip part. I wanted to give them $10. Please always tip at least 18%. As a server, we count on that money. Very very much. Enjoy!!“
“I've been here twice now and will be back because of the affordable quality nigiri and prime location by the water. The restaurant itself has a cozy vibe, not too fancy. That's fine-- I'm all about food over ambiance if given the choice between the other. I am a sushi enthusiast (gimme the omakases!) and was hankering for some fresh wasabi, but I guess they don't offer that here. The service is alright. The first time around, I sat on the mats with a friend (pretty neat that they offer that, I've only seen it in a few izakaya style restaurants). The waitress was nice but felt like the timing was off for when we wanted certain things (ordering, receiving food, receiving the bill). The second time around, I sat at the sushi bar and was able to be helped more promptly and in a pattern that made more sense to me. The sushi chefs were friendly and willing to answer any questions I had.As far as food goes, the aburi toro is phenomenal! 3 large chunks of flame-seared toro marinated in a citrusy umami sauce for $20.The rockfish is topped with a spicy orange garnish that adds a great little kick. The salmon belly is quality. You can tell by how fresh, vibrant, and near-translucent they look. It's also my favorite nigiri! The tuna belly was good, not as marbled as I'd like, but still good. Thick, juicy portions.I'd pass on the yellowtail belly, it wasn't quite as melty-in-your-mouth as the tuna belly and salmon belly. Can you tell I love the bellies? Try them out for yourself“
“The food is exceptional, although it can be found looking up Chinese food, it's Japanese American hibachi style food. It's the only "Chinese" my husband will eat. I am a little disappointed that they don't offer pork, but I do understand their reasoning. Would definitely recommend.“
“Pleasant atmosphere and helpful staff. They also serve vegetarian dishes and will veganize (omit egg, mayonnaise, fish) your food upon request. Some months ago, my family visited Sushi Sakura for lunch and ordered Japanese Vegetable Fried Rice, Vegetable Lo Mein, Cucumber Avocado Rolls and more. Everything was tasty!“
“In my opinion, this is the best sushi in Maryland. Incredible quality, wonderful service, and a very laid-back setting. Every time I go to a different sushi restaurant, I always end up wishing i was here instead. All the staff are very nice and welcoming, and the service is always pretty quick. If you're just looking for great sushi without all the frills, this is the perfect place for you.“
“This place is a great find. The food was delicious and the service was good. The curries were actually spicy, tasted unique, and have different ingredients based on the type of curry you ordered. The curry was not watered down or made into a gravy, it was just right. My review only gets 4 stars overall because the chicken satay appetizer and rice portion that came with the curry was small relative to the prices on the menu.“
“this is one of my favorite spots in baltimore for good sushi- great service, reasonable prices, and overall great food. its never super loud or busy inside, which is nice to have a good relaxing meals. it's a staple in our lunch rotation.“
“Eaten here a few times and really like the food. The prices are reasonable. Although with many other restaurants, prices seem to have gone up and portions have stayed the same. My go to was the steak and scallops and it doesn't disappoint, but the price is a little steep and have to save for special occasion.“
“Katana Sushi of Elkridge was amazing. The sushi was super fresh and very tasty. I’ve tried the other sushi restaurants in the area and around Columbia and I like Katana more, they really impressed me. I also really liked their customer service and how pleasant they were. Highly recommend them. All the rolls were delicious!“
“Since the 'pandemic' the Dine-In is no longer an option. However they do such a good job & are so well liked the joint is jumping. Regardless of your liking Sushi, Thai, Chinese or Japanese dishes all of them are done well, w/o breaking the bank. . . you just got to go home and eat cuz their dining-room is closed.“
“My family sometimes in the past had gotten carry out from here before we dined in. Since the tables are all on the second floor at the top of some steep stairs accessibility probably isn't the best. There is a large menu, with plenty of options. I ordered the beef teriyaki lunch which came with soup, salad, and rice, I really enjoyed it. I also ordered a marble soda which was pretty tasty, although it took a few seconds for me to open since it's been so long since I had one. In order to open a marble soda you need to take off the plastic film, remove the outer cap, punch out the opener from the middle of the removed cap, and then you can use the opener to dislodge the marble so that you can have a drink.“
“I enjoyed everything about this place. Get there and there were no other customers in the restaurant, so it was very quiet. Had a few rolls and an order of the shrimp and vegetable tempura. The eel rolls never disappoint but the tempura was more veg than shrimp. Nothing tasted past it's prime and price was not bad either. Overall food was decent but I really like the environment. Sat by the window and wasn't pressured to leave after eating must have spent two hours just chatting away before realizing still hadn't gotten the check.“
“We love Azumi ambiance is great it on the waterfront in Baltimore. The A5 Wagu melts in your mouth they offer it by the ounce. But it's enough for 4 people we ordered 4 ounces. The yellowtail jalapeño sushi is another favorite. The lychee cocktail is pricy and did not taste like it really had alcohol which was very disappointing. Overall it's a fun place with friends and we shared all the plates along with the fried rice which is delicious. You can't go wrong with any of the menu items. I gave it 4 stars because of the cocktails.“
“Ikkyu is inside Lotte's food court and is my favorite choice out of the 4 restaurants inside! Tonkatsu 10/10- crispy, lots of sauce- comes with rice, pasta salad with cucumbers, a side salad, pickled yellow radish, and a small bowl of miso soup - they used to also give kimchi but I guess they updated the menu Once you order, they'll call your order name/number on the intercom once it's finished. Service is relatively quick!“
“The food was really fresh and delicious. The ambiance was lovely. They were very friendly and welcoming too! I wish I could give them 6 stars. Exceptional service for a cute little spot. Get some of the calamari, best in the area! And the prices were great.“
“Welp, if love at 1st sight was an establishment, this is it. I've visited 4-5 times now. Mostly for hh. They have an extensive hh menu as well as separate daily specials. Always super fast food table/ bar delivery. Great libations and comfy environment. I will certainly continue to visit this establishment and bring friends for this awesome experience.“
“The food is tasty and they are pretty quick with their service. They now have a self ordering kiosk which we haven't used but plan to next time. I only gave the atmosphere 3 stars because it's not much for atmosphere. They have a few tables to sit and eat but I never used them. Mostly sit and wait. Overall they give you a decent amount of food. If you have a lot of orders they give you a box to carry your stuff out. But that was recent due to the plastic bag ban.“
“My partner and I ordered the Wayne's and Hawaiian rolls. The Wayne's was better. We also shared chicken and steak hibachi which was delicious, juicy steak and chicken chunks in a sauce with amazing fried rice and veggies. We also received a complimentary appetizer of imitation crab in a yummy sauce, and a slice of cheesecake. The appetizer was better than the cheesecake. We would come back again.“
“This was beyond what I expected from airport food. I got the Chicken Bento Box and it was SO much food, good quality, and presented well. The woman behind the counter was actually polite!! And she seemed like she didn't hate her job, so it made the experience feel that much more satisfying. I would happily walk to this food spot every time I have a lay-over in BWI. Thank you for being here ❤️“
“I finally found AMAZING sushi in the Baltimore area! I’ve returned 3 weeks in a row to Naru. Their salmon sashimi is the freshest I’ve had in the States, and their rolls are terrific. Naru Sushi is part of the BeSeTo food court, with 3 Chinese, Korean, and Japanese restaurants and a marketplace downstairs. The ambiance is casual and relaxed. I've only tried the Japanese place, but the food court is always packed, and all the food looks great!“
