“My husband and twent here on my birthday the fifth to watch the Buzzard Band play and watched the boats.

First time being at The Deck, we always are inside...it was 🥵.

The food was okay, that a Crab Melt that was not what I thought it would be.

My husband has pizza and cheese steak rolls..he likes his food.

Our server was a sweet girl and took could care of the section we were in.”

“If I could I'd give it 6 stars! Excellent and plentiful food. We eat here when on vacation and will stop several times over 10 days. Always friendly wait staff so you know the management treats them well. What I hate about giving 5 stars is the place will fill up quickly.”

This quaint brewery in the heart of Chesapeake city never disappoints… always delivering SOLID stouts and porters, and everything in between. While the beer is fantastic, the real reason I come to this bar is to see Ashley’s beautiful face & her one of a kind cheerfulness. Additionally, there is nothing more entertaining than the banter between Ashley and Jake. I have made friends for life at the Bayheads bar, and cant wait to make more memories in the future. “Not only is the ice cream delicious! The owner is so sweet! This was my first time there, I brought my 3 little ones with me, I didn’t realize until after I unloaded them all that they didn’t except card. The owner approached me onto the way back to my car and offered to buy our ice cream for us. There are still good people in this world. Thank you! We will be back! ♥️🙏🏼”

“My daughter and son-in-law brought us to the Bayard House over the Christmas holidays 2024, and we were impressed-with the food, the service, the atmosphere, and the views! We wanted to do something special for our Army Captain daughter, Noella Rogers, when she promoted to Major yesterday. Remembering how much she and her husband, Jeff, love Bayard House, we called about getting a gift card. Chris Amon, (not sure of the spelling), Assistant General Manager, answered. When he told me that we'd have to come in and purchase it, I told him that we lived in Texas, so that wouldn't be possible. I was about to hang up, but Chris asked where my daughter lives. When I told him, he said that he lived close to her town and volunteered to hand-deliver it! Wow! He didn't have to do that! Not only did he hand-deliver it this morning, April 24th, he bought and placed it inside a card for her. Talk about going above the call of duty! Bayard House, hang onto Chris because that guy is gold! Everyone else, if you haven't tried it out yet, go get you something wonderful to eat at Bayard House! Chris, we look forward to thanking you in person the next time we come to Maryland for a visit!”

“my friend and I had lunch here with our little ones today (2 and 5) i picked here because i knew they would be child friendly.because lets be honest you never know what's going to happen taking toddlers to a restaurant. they were well behaved but i want to give a huge shout-out to our amazing server Zuri. Hands down the best waitress ive ever had in a restaurant. She was polite, attentive, and had great positive vibes from her all around. “I’ve ordered here a few times and I usually will get the chicken or fish platter. My favorite is the fish and my family is the chicken. I love that the chicken is halal. The service was great you can tell this is a hidden gem and family owned business. Keep up the great work. I have recommended this place to countless people. I enjoy the homemade rice pudding because it’s different than the traditional one I grew up with but a good difference of course. I wish they sold their tzatziki sauce because you can tell that was made with love. They are the best and no one compares.”

So I needed somewhere to camp out afterwards since I wouldn’t make it back home to wilmington in time. I stumbled upon this place in my “coffee shops” map search. Everyone working was very kind, and the drink + bagel i had were both so good that I felt compelled to actually write this FB review. I have been mourning the loss of my favorite wilmington boba spot (it sounds dramatic but I am serious, the others just aren’t the same) so am so glad to have found a good one, even if it’s a little bit of a hike.”

Update: I moved residence and haven't been to this location in about a year.
First the cashier, while in the middle of taking my order, starts a conversation with her fellow employee . Upon regaining her attention, I told her I have a coupon , she proceeded to ring me up and flops the touch screen over so I can tip(lol) and provide my signature . I notice that my coupon was not reflected on the price so I said what happened with the coupon?? Her exact answer was: oh you tapped your card too fast and I couldn't do it.... I said fugetaboutit and sat down. Now , as I wait for 25 minutes and counting I am contemplating a refund and surely will never come here again. It USED TO BE, walk in walk out no more than a 10 minute wait on a busy day. Playa Bowls needs to hire better!!!!”
