“When indecisive, go for the chefs table which includes all of the apps but also an extra tasting per course. Aside from the food which was near perfect, the ambiance is very unique outside dining in a semi enclosed courtyard, railyard bar, and dining in a lodge-like room with fireplace. Some of my favorite dishes were the veggies, surprising because I'm more of a meat eater. Cocktails were excellent but do ask the bartender since not all liquor is documented. Wine list is extensive“

“Coming from Arabic Family and growing partially in an Arab country I am very critical when it comes to Arabic food. I must say Ilili didn’t disappoint ! The food is actually ESPECTACULAR! I traveled to my childhood memories with every bite. The hummus with pine nuts and mushrooms is delicious, and the shawarma duck and fried kibbeh so good. Please do yourself a favor and close with a KNAFE“

“Cute spot located very close to union station. Came in for dinner on a week night and the place was decently busy. The server was kind and attentive. For food, I had the lamb shawarma which was very tasty and actually the perfect amount of food, although the pita bread that came with was pretty dry. My friend got the lamb sliders which also looked pretty good!“

“Hands down one of the best restaurants I have ever eaten at and probably the best in Washington D.C. Started with the sensational mushroom shish and the perfectly grilled octopus, followed by two remarkable entrees, Aleppo Smoked Chicken and the Cherry Lacquered Shortrib. Absolutely stunning combination of flavors. It’s a phenomenal restaurant in all ways. Excellent wine list and exceptional team.“

“Another delicious meal - I frequented the original location and I have visited the trendy and welcoming CR NoMA more than any other sit-down restaurant in DC. How is the Pastrami Poblano even better, each time I order? Perfectly runny egg, soft and toasted ciabatta, delicious crispy spiced fries. The cigars appetizer are not to be missed. Weather you choose the wines, beers, cocktails or mocktails, you are in for a good time. Thanks Oded and team for making our night out a great one!“

“My wife and I were stuck in Washington, DC because of a weather related airplane cancellation. Since it was Christmas Day, our options for dinner were limited. We were very pleased to have chosen the Ottoman taverna. The food was phenomenal. The service was impeccable and I would recommend this to anybody looking for a dining experience in Washington, DC. While it is certainly not cheap, it is not terribly expensive either. The food was unbelievably delicious. Oddly, our Lyft driver who delivered us to the door happened to be Turkish and was telling us how great the place was as we arrived.“

“It was a beautiful early springlike day when I dined here so I requested a table outside. The food was delicious - I had the brussel sprouts appetizer and the chicken tagine. Excellent flavors in both. My server was very kind and helpful. I splurged on the crunch bar dessert which was delightful! I will definitely return for another meal.“

“Nice bookstore slash restaurant Cafe. Plenty of space to work and eat or both. Strong wifi as well. The art decorations are amassing. It's almost like being in a gallery. Service is chill, mostly younger with a chill, friendly demeanor - I like it.I ordered the creole shrimp which was sad in terms of portion. It was $18 for a scoop of rice, several pieces of shrimp and vegetable tomato sauce. Want really good nor really bad just meh. I felt it was overpriced. Plus the shrimp could've been cooked more. But the presentation was beautiful. All in all it's a nice cafe. And I'd recommend coming here to read our but books, drink a coffee and work, but not the food. A bit overpriced for what you get.“

“Came here for dinner and was very impressed. Everything was fantastic. The atmosphere is cozy and not too noisy. The service was great, and the timing was appropriate. All of the food was prepared well and tasted great. I had the Kabobs, which were tender and juicy, and there was plenty leftover to box up. I definitely recommend coming here if you haven't already.“

“I was there for the opening day and it was wonderful. The staff are so friendly and had huge smiles on their faces. The line moved quickly and the food was delicious and made exactly to order. The soup was still piping hot when I got back to the office. So happy they finally opened a location in Union Station.“

“Overall great experience, from calling in the order to picking up. Pizza was great, it kind of woke my childhood tastebuds and reminded of the taste of the old Shakeys pizza. I haven’t had a good pizza in a while but this pizza was good. I can’t rate atmosphere as we carried out.“

“This food was delicious. I was so surprised at how fast my order was prepped and how fresh everything was. The staff were all very kind given that it was my first time and I was a little clumsy figuring out what I wanted and if I was going for a bowl or pita. But the falafel pita was so good that I considered visiting twice in one day.“

“The sandwiches here are delicious! I come here at least once a week. You can’t find authentic shawarma in this area but this place is it! The meat is delicious and sliced in front of you, the ingredients are fresh, and the use of parsley gives me nostalgia. If you’re looking for true shawarma or even a tasty lunch, this place is a must!“

“Original location of Perfect Pita chain and has a local vibe that cannot be replicated with small, cozy vibe to store that offers no seating. Breakfast pitas are the sneaky underrated offering of the store along with excellent stuffed grape leaves, hummus, rice pudding, and always fresh pita bread for sandwiches/“

“I tried the spicy lamb and it was really good. The girl working at the counter was really nice and helpful, but I unfortunately didn’t get her name (didn’t see it on the receipt either). They also have decent kids options that my toddler enjoyed. Will for sure come again!“

“I've always loved Roti. Never really had a problem when I went into order. I decided to do online ordering today. I think this is my second time. I received the text, and went to pick up my food. Like always I checked my food to make sure it's correct. I however did not see the sauces on the side like I asked. So assume they put it on there. However I decided to still ask for them. So I went to the cashier. She was currently helping a customer so I patiently stood there waiting for a few minutes not interrupting. You know, being the courteous, faithful and patient customer that I am. Mind you she never acknowledged me or said "I'll be with you in one minute". I was the only person standing there and it wasn't busy at the time. Usually I don't make this a race thing, but today that's the way that I felt. So I'm standing there, this white guy walks up. Clearly minutes after I did. I know she saw me because I was literally standing right there at the counter, he was behind me to my right. Who do you think she acknowledged first? Sure wasn't me! She looked right past me and asked could she help him. Not only that, she asked would he like a cup to get a drink while he waited for the non gluten free pita he ordered. Then she went back to the customers she was checking out. At this point I interrupted her and said "excuse me, I was standing here too". "I wanted to see if they put the sauces on here or did they forget? She said they put them on there (my salad). I was so heated, and felt so disrespected! As I turned to walk away , she asked did I want an extra one. I just said nope and kept walking. I'm not even hungry anymore. What hurts even more, not that it makes it even better, is the fact that she was Hispanic. Well looked hispanic to me. I should have gotten her name! Thanks for ruining my lunch and my until now, positive experiences at Roti at the 16th and K, NW location!“

“Went to try Fig and Olive before the Marc Anthony concert. The restaurant is close to capital one arena and in a nice area (city center). The decor was nice when we walked in the first floor and were seated upstairs. We had a few appetizers and drinks first which were fine. The espresso martinis are both great! For entres we had Moroccan salmon and green beans and a burger both were delicious.Dietary restrictions: They accommodate for allergies and dietary restrictions.“

“This place is not only the BEST Cava I’ve been to…it’s the best fast-casual restaurant out there. In fact, I come here for lunch almost every single day and when I don’t, I don’t have lunch at all and miss it dearly for the day.The staff here are INCREDIBLE! They always put a smile on my face. Getting my lunch here is much more than just delicious cuisine, it’s a wholesome environment where you get the fullest care and attention even during their busiest times.SPECIAL shout-out to Katya and Maria. I obviously don’t wear a name tag when I go, yet the lovely people behind the counter make a true effort to remember their customers.Of course the food is amazing, I eat it everyday…but what makes this place the highlight of my day are the people there. You could just mobile order, however you won’t want to after being met with the friendliest service you’ve ever experienced every time you open the doors. I love this place and I appreciate those that make it so welcoming. See you again soon :)“

“Grabbed a bowl for lunch and left full and satisfied with another half of the bowl still to eat. The portions they scoop into your bowl are quite generous and the chicken and steak shawarma were both tasty. I grabbed a chocolate chip cookie as well which was quite good. I must call out the staff as well. They were all pleasant and friendly even during the busy lunch hours.“
