“I don't remember how I found this place online, but am so glad. You'll feel like you're on a treasure hunt and maybe in the wrong building, but go to the G (=LL) floor via the elevators and it's there. Simple decor and the owner is really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - I am vegan and he had no problem using tahini instead of tzaziki in my falafel sandwich, which was one of the best I've had! The prices were extremely reasonable and I am just sad it's so hidden away that people won't just run across it without knowing about it. The food was obviously prepared with care. Worth a visit - I plan on returning!“
“We ate here twice, the first by chance and the second time because it was our favourite meal of the holiday. Food outstanding. Prices very reasonable. Amazingly not a table empty at a time when most restaurants struggling. Complimentary garlic bread was delicious, as was the brownie and ice cream at the end of the meal. I generally choose vegetarian dishes, but the stifado was so tasty and tender. We loved Gerani.“

“When indecisive, go for the chefs table which includes all of the apps but also an extra tasting per course. Aside from the food which was near perfect, the ambiance is very unique outside dining in a semi enclosed courtyard, railyard bar, and dining in a lodge-like room with fireplace. Some of my favorite dishes were the veggies, surprising because I'm more of a meat eater. Cocktails were excellent but do ask the bartender since not all liquor is documented. Wine list is extensive“

We'll DEFINITELY be back to do the entire tasting menu. Lovely atmosphere, not stuffy, great music, GOOD LIGHTING (hard to come by in DC) and overall stellar food. The restaurant is small, but intimate and the food is amazing. The Scallops are a must try. Every time I’ve gone and sat at the bar and have always had an amazing experience. Kyle & Victor are so knowledgeable on their wines and just make the experience 10x better. The playful pairings on the menu are also another highlight and a lot of fun. (2) The place is very clean, well-maintained, and organized, with good distance between tables. I like their booths better?. (3) They serve authentic and VERY delicious Afghan dishes. Kabobs are soft and juicy. Shrimps are crazy delicious and soft (never chewy). Ghabeli-polow is the best! (4) Their quality of service and dishes are consistently great. “Happy Hour at Barca on the waterfront on a Friday is amazing. The Hostess was great she took us straight to our table thru the crowd. Made sure we were seated in a good location by the bar. As soon as we sat down the waiter came with the menu and options. Our table was facing the water which gave us clear view of the Water taxis and boats. The lemon drop drink was strong the food was served hot. However due to the breeze and being by the water the temperature of your food changes quickly. The hummus is delicious highly recommend“
“The food was sooo fresh and delicious, down to the fresh made lemonade and mango juices we got. Such a home cooked meal feel, with tender halal meat, fresh baked naan, and crispy kibbeh. “I went for iftar upon my friend's recommendation. Pleasant smells greet you as you enter. The salad bar is very fresh and very tasty. All the meats we tried were very delicious. The staff are great with their date treats, smiling faces and helpful attitude in every way. Especially the tea that came with it crowned the whole meal. “Who would have expected fine dining meals from a small open kitchen (think pizza or sandwich shop style restaurant) with a few tables in a small strip shopping center in Great Falls, Virginia, but Thelo Greek Kuzina’s food was stellar. I could not decide what to get to take home for our family, so got way too much food for four people. Every meal, appetizer, and desert was delicious. we had the lamb shank meal, the New York Sirloin entree, Moussaka, Imam Baildi, lamb gyros, Greek salad, homemade potato chips (best ever), pita and hummus sampler, and more. Deserts were the lemon cake, apricot baklava, sour cherry baklava. Yeah we overdid it on our order, but we enjoyed a smorgasbord of delicious Greek food that made you think it was from a top 10 upscale downtown restaurant. Thank you Thelo Greek Kuzina for an unexpected true culinary experience.“

Most tables were reserved for an event that afternoon, but when we told her we could be out before then, she seated us and brought out the menus. We ordered using the QR code on the menus, as that was the only option. I will say, that was the only thing I didn't like. I have having to use my phone for everything and wished I could've ordered in person and paid in person. And then the tip part was unclear and it chose the tip for us (18%). That felt kinda weird...what if I wanted to leave more? But that feels like the same complaint, having to order on my phone.Anyway, besides those 2 things, everything else was amazing. The food was fresh, tasty, and was brought out in a reasonable amount of time. The waiter was quick to bring out water and refills. Dina was sweet and chatted with us just the right amount. We ordered the 3 plate appetizer baba ghanoush, grape leaves, and fava beans. They were all good, but the fava beans were extraordinary. We also got the Susu's chicken plate. It was also delicious...and the best part of that plate was the amazing tomato sauce.I can't recommend this place enough and we will surely be back!“

“Stopped by with two kiddos on a weeknight and the service was impeccable. Aside from having the usual parking issues - Connecticut Ave is sometimes difficult- we had no issues finding it. It's on a row with a lot of options but we (I) wanted hummus so here we were! The service and greeting were great? Our waiter was thorough and advised of the best items on the menu as well as allowed us to take out time ordering. We tried the pita bread with olive oil which was a little bland and required salt and pepper-but the pita itself was warm perfection. We also tried the artichoke hearts, which were amazing and the dressing was so good, the kids tried to eat it with a spoon! I typically don't eat after 7 and since it was much later, I ordered a salad with tabouleh and falafel, of which I finished one. The falafel was a little dry, which didn't make for a great reheating experience but on day one it was great! The kids both ordered the kids meal with falafel which is massive and comes with hummus and rice or fries. He let my picky water get a salad instead which worked nicely. There were a ton of leftovers and we are hearty eaters. I will just say the falafel and tabouleh salad doesn't reheat very well. The tabouleh is as expected, quite wet and if I'd had space to eat it on day one, it would have been a 5/5. As such, I'd give it a solid 4.3. It wilted almost completely in 12 hours even after separating the falafel. But we would go back, the menu is expansive, the service was very good, and the ambiance is perfect for a date night at any point! The high backed booths lend and aura of privacy and the high ceilings swallow conversation in a way that allows you to relax and really talk. Definitely a good restaurant design! If you like Lebanese/Mediterranean food, you won't be disappointed!“

“Just tried this restaurant for the first time. I only had a chicken Fettouch salad, and it was possibly one of the best I have had. The vegetables were very fresh and the dressing was possibly the best I have had. It had a very subtle taste of what seemed to be pomegranate in it. The chicken pieces were very nicely flavored as well. The price was in line with most fast casual Middle Eastern eateries. Will be coming back to try the rest of their menu. “How did I forget to review Plaka?? Plaka is consistently amazing. Fast, delicious and friendly service every single time. I love introducing people to Plaka. The food is always fresh and tasty. Some of my favorite things are the Plaka Gyro Wrap which has Authentic Greek-style pork gyro with tomatoes, onions, tzatziki and fries inside. It's filling but you won't be in a food coma afterwards. I also love getting the plaka bowls where you can choose what you want in them. Kind of like Cava but way better.“
