“There's not a lot of great options for delivery in Damascus. But my wife and I were pleasantly surprised when we discovered Sky Kitchen. Everything we've ordered so far has been really good. (Our favorite is the crispy beef). Compared to a lot of other cheap Chinese restaurants, it seems like they use better quality proteins, and the rice is always cooked right. One thing we really like about this place, is it delivery is quick, and our food always arrives hot. Keep up the good work Sky Kitchen!“
“Carry out is fast and the food always hits the spot. Hot & sour soup and egg drop soup are good. Steamed Dumplings are very good as well as Pan fried Dumplings. Crispy Beef was still crispy at home and is addictive when you're eating it! Other items that were great: sweet and sour shrimp, triple delight, and of course fried rice.“
“Think you can handle some spice? Want to eat something healthy? Haven’t needed to use Google Translate in the US before (mostly kidding, the server understood us just fine.)Bring at least 2 hungry friends and drive all the way out to Gaithersburg! We drove 20’ here from the hotel but for all the amazing Asian food we can eat in LA, they we don’t have this delicious fish soup. It is rare and special to experience totally new cuisine.Looks like we’d have to go to fly to Sichuan, Dallas, or Flushing to eat this elsewhere.Plentiful, free parking in the public lot. Small restaurant. No reservations.Their fresh watermelon juice perfectly complements the delicious, slightly sour, spicy fish soup/stew (they have regular & numbing…can only imagine how spicy “numbing” is…almost ordered it but worried that I might regret it in the morning…apologies that’s TMI.)ORDER their delicious milk mochi dessert.Cannot wait to eat here again next time we’re in DC/MD.Cheers & Happy Eating!DocMikeChiro“
“Beef brisket dry rub noodles with tofu puffs were delicious. Just the right amount of spicy heat. Scallion pancakes were thin and not very flavorful beyond the grease from the oil that they were made in. The fried dumplings were tasty. They came with a sweet sauce that we did not use. The beef brisket tomato soup with rice noodles was just OK. It was like faintly tomato favored water. Related, my wife and I were unhappy with the brisket given that it was mostly tendons and such. My mother-in-law enjoyed it as her tastes are more traditional, or what other reviewers here call authentic. I recommend ordering online and will do so again but know that the brisket is not what Americans expect.“
“Easily one of the best local spots around Mount Airy/Damascus.Family friendly dining room with excellent service, great bar, and a take out section with a small liquor store where you can order food for carry out and pick up some beer while you’re there. The American food never disappoints and the Thai food makes me come back for more. Just a great spot, always happy when I’m there and full when I’m leaving.“
“Don’t let the generic name/lack of curb prevent you from giving this place a try!Seen this place all the time when stopping at 7-Eleven next door but didn’t give it any mind until recently when I wanted some Chinese takeout. So so glad I ended up trying it because the food was legit amazing - which is great because the area historically has not had great Chinese options.Got the hunan & orange chicken along with hot & sour soup - couldn’t tell you a single bad thing about any. Main entree + lo mein + soup + egg roll for under $15 is amazing value for the portion size. This has 100% become our household’s go to.“
“My husband and I have been coming here for the last 9 years! This is our favorite place. The Sizzling black pepper beef and hot and sour soup is by far my favorite on the menu! The whole menu is delicious and the service is FANTASTIC, the atmosphere is homey and welcoming!!!! If I could give 10 stars I would!“
“Small place. No seating. No delivery through apps.I've enjoyed this place so far. Trying out different things as I go. I recommend: Combination Lo Mein is good but they skimp a bit on the protein. Mongolian beef is good, there are a lot of fried onions/green onions in it and they actually have char on them. So I really enjoy that one. Bourbon chicken is good. It's not AS good as what you might get at a mall, but it's close. The sweet and sour chicken was one of the better I've had. Only had it once so far but it had a great crunch on the outside. Egg roll was decent.I don't recommend: their fried rice. It's yellow and tasteless, so they probably use a neutral oil with no sauces/spices. The crab Rangoon are the triangles as opposed to the four prong crowns. Which I've always found to be inferior. They didn't taste like anything. Kung pao was a let down too. First one I've seen in MD with a variety of veggies (which I like). A lot of kung Pao in MD is just chicken and peanuts. But the sauce was sweet and not spicy. So it was really off-putting when I ate it. ALSO the egg drop soup was good. But they use premade/individually wrapped crunchy noodles. First time I'd ever seen them anywhere. And they were not good. The place prepares their food quite fast. I ordered $60 of food last time and they quoted me 10-12 minutes. I think not dealing with sit down orders or deliveries makes it easier to crank out food. So far good food. I recommend them as a good place. They also do small orders on some of their entrees. Which I appreciate so I can try things without spending too much money.“
“We happened to come across Yu Zhou after a trip to Sam's. This is clearly a family owned restaurant. On our visit I noticed the owner giving the staff iced teas from a local boba spot. Major kudos, more restaurants could learn from his leadership. Take care of your people and they'll take care of your customers. Staff was awesome and attentive, it's really an all hands on deck operation! Now the food.... Generous portions, American and authentic Chinese options and something for most everyone to enjoy. All in all a fantastic option for when you crave Chinese food!“
“This is THE best Chinese food we’ve had! Their crispy chicken, steak on a stick, egg rolls, beef and broccoli, and shrimp lo mein are all perfect!!! We drove 40 minutes and it was still all hot and the chicken was so crispy still! Their service is great also. I came yesterday with three little kids in the car, and the owner was so understanding she brought out our food to the car so I didn’t have to unpack everyone! Great place“
“Some of the best Chinese food you can get locally. Food quality is consistent. Have been going there over 7 years every other week or so. Our favorite dish there is Homestyle tofu! other good food there are their fried chicken wings, sweet and sour chicken, lomein, fried rice, and cho-cho chicken or beefVegetarian options: several tofu dishes or string beans, broccoli and more“
“I've ordered here now at least a dozen times if not more. I've ordered about a dozen different things on the menu from chicken or beef and broccoli to Szechuan chicken or beef to curry chicken. Food is always great with good portion and the chicken wings are some of the best I've had. They have this delicate crispy flakey batter they're fried in that's really good. Must order wings with every order. Also they have great dumplings! Large and meaty so another item that must be ordered every time. The lady is always nice but she is a jack of all trades to handling orders, cooking, taking phone and online orders so she can be busy at times. This is a carry out place so no seating. This has become my go to Chinese food place, I just wish they had another menu item like subs but even still. Can't go wrong with all they have, good stuff“
“Listen:Order the Singapore Chow Mei Fun (House Style). The menu might call it "Singapore Rice Noodles." It's a thin-style rice noodle dish with meat and veggies. The portion is incredible. This dish has always been my comfort food.It wasn't until I ordered it from Asian Bistro that I remembered why: their ingredients were fresh and flavors distinct. This dish is my "takeout - comparison dish" and Asian Bistro takes the championship belt home.I also had the gyoza - and I swear it must be prepared by hand. If you order takeout over $35 you get some for free if you mention the coupon! (Exp 12/31/24).Next time I order, I will upload photos. I'm actually trying to not order here all the time now.“
“The woman was so lovely. When I got there to pick up our order, she was making sure all of the packages were perfectly folded and orderly. The food was amazing, you could tell there was great attention to detail. It’s the only food all of the kids will eat until it is gone! We love this place ❤️“
“Very welcoming atmosphere. Great quality food for such a low price. 10/10 would come here again.Vegetarian options: You can choose your chicken to be made with vegan chickenParking: Plenty of parking spotsKid-friendliness: There are High chairs for little kids“
“*** GREAT FOOD *** Stopped by to eat real fast, was pleasantly very surprised. Delicious crunchy general tso's and Singapore rice noodles. Brought our food out quickly and a nice presentation ? ?Kid-friendliness: Family atmosphere , the staff were very welcoming.Parking: Easy to find parking“
“Our lunch at the Chong Yet Yin Chinese Restaurant in Mt. Airy was very enjoyable. Both my wife and I had the hot and sour soup. For our entrée we had the San Shien Wor Bar which included shrimp, chicken and beef along with vegetables. The portion size was generous and the service was friendly and attentive. We look forward to a future visit to the restaurant.“
“I was craving American Chinese food (specifically crab rangoons) and Mr. K's Oriental Cafe, next to the Dutch Market, delivered (not literally...although they do deliver). Called in a takeout order and had a nice friendly chat with the person (I assume Mr. K) when I went to pickup. There's indoor seating but it was in the down time between lunch and dinner so there wasn't anyone seated there. Lovely pictures on the door of school activities that Mr. K's has helped out with. Their menu is online and they have Chinese, Thai, Korean, and pho. Crab Wontons: 6 to an order. Mostly cream cheese and very little crab. The sweet and sour sauce was a bit watery and packaged in its own little bag to make sure it didn't spill out of the little cup. I do appreciate how it was crispy and not greasy. Honey Walnut Shrimp: large/jumbo shrimp with good flavor and a nice bite despite being in the white sauce. Pineapple and black sesame toppings with a sliced orange arranged in the takeout container. The walnuts had a delicate sweetness to it which I assume was the honey. The chef specialties also come with rice. This dish left me wanting more of it (in a good way). Singapore Rice Noodles: chicken, shrimp, beef, and some vegetables with curry rice noodles. This one had some kind of pepper to help give it a bit of a kick which left a good flavor without burning my mouth. Wish I had know about this place sooner and am excited to come back and try other dishes.“
“Everytime I go I get the Chengdu Fish Fillet. It's seriously delicious. I am guessing you can't go wrong with the authentic Sichuan dishes. I really need to branch out. I have tasted the american chinese dishes, that taste pretty much as they should and should make those wanting standard take out happy.“
