“One of the better dining experiences I’ve had in DC - of any type of cuisine. Solid cocktails, very good service, delicious and incredibly inspired menu. Excited to go back.”
“Really delicious and awesome vibe! This is a creative Asian place where I would say noodles are their forte. The area is really small and cozy, with great decor. They only seat about 20 people at a time in their space, so I would reserve or come early. We came as they opened and were seated as a party of 5.For food, LOVE the brontosaurus! The broth is excellent and rich but too too rich, nicely smoked ribs, excellent selection of side veggies and the noodles had a great texture. The noodles in the mazemans were the same noodles as the brontosaurus, but the mazeman has no broth and so I prefer the brontosaurus. The ribs in the brontosaurus could’ve been more tender but I still loved it overall! Pork buns were good as well. Beautiful presentation and great taste on all! And nice edgy underground atmosphere/decor and reasonable prices.Vegetarian options: Mushroom ramen”
“The food was fantastic! The service was fantasticOverall a fantastic experience. We had a awesome time dining with Rose's the staff was very nice and very accommodating to our dietary restrictions. We also received various items that we off the menu that were excellent. And they gave us a treat to take home. I would definitely recommend Roses, P&P, and Little Pearl. Trust me, they won't let you down.”
“food was very inventive and good, but it was lacking on actual depth of any type of flavor. The service was quite good though we had to wait five minutes to actually be seated because the there was only one person seating people. The interior is very confusing and crowded and the restaurant decor doesn’t really make sense, the fried chicken was very good and unique so was the scallion pancake however, the pho really didn’t have any flavor and they were using chicken stock for some reason so it didn’t really have much flavor.”
“The service and staff were 10/10! One member of my party had allergies, so a manager, Shawn, came over to assist. He took the time to explain all the foods she could eat and made plenty of adjustments where necessary (he outlined the menu, as seen in the picture attached). Maria, our waitress, was enthusiastic, attentive, and made great recommendations. It was another member of my party’s birthday, and they decorated the plate specially for her! A great location for a celebration and special meal!Dietary restrictions: Staff was very familiar with the menu and happily walked us through our options.”
“Amazing service, food, presentation, libations, decor, comfort, on and on. From 1st picture my welcome cocktail all the way to final cocktail and wine in between 2nd picture to 1st course caviar bigger purse with no silverware 3rd picture to 2nd to last course truffle ice cream with all the toppings, including caviar My words don’t do this dining event Justice. Oh, and when I got back to the hotel, I found an incredible burger in a box that I carried back to the hotel without opening. That was breakfast! Will be back.”
“5 out of 5 stars, this three story restaurant is interestingly unnoticeable but I’m glad I was invited here to experience it. It sits next to an open air lot which is definitely needed on H St. The food was amazing, I had the sea bass, plantains, salad, and cassava fries (can’t remember what they were called) and everything was so good. The staff was efficient and friendly and the chef came out to speak with us and it amazing to see that he’s native DC and young he is. I definitely recommend this place for dinner. I wish I paused to take pictures but maybe next time.”
“Next time you're over in Eastern Market check this place out!!! Lovely happy hours and brunches! For happy hours, I had tortilla de patatas, jamon serrano, gambas al ajillo... all were delicious and fresh! The gambas had some extra charred garlic that I enjoyed putting on bread with some of the delicious olive oil that was in the dish. The brunch was stunning and was a great addition to our day at Eastern Market! Some highlights were house made ravioli that were to die for, white sangria, croquetas... It's right around the corner from the main strip of Eastern Market on Penn Ave. so a bit hidden but worth a try!”
“2nd time here. Awesome meal. Great service. Pedro took wonderful care of us. Chicken Picatta is my go to fabulous - Wife had the Alfredo and raved about it. Everything is delicious.”
“Visited the café today! Loved the delectable and creative menu, the warm service, and the beautiful, cozy interior. We enjoyed the inasal, tocino, and ube latte (complete with delicate latte art) courtesy of Sun and Stars Coffee. Our kid was thrilled she could enjoy an ube steamer, too-- and didn't want to stir her drink because she found the art (Hiraya's logo in this instance) so beautiful. If you want reimagined, creative, and elevated Filipino cuisine where the flavors simultaneously bring back sensory memories of the comfort food of your childhood, this is the place for you. Can't wait to return!”
“This spot on H St Corridor is hands down my favorite. The drinks, service, and food consistently impress. The ambiance is wonderfully moody with dim lighting and great background music. I always opt for the vegan version of the beef noodles, which are consistently flavorful and delicious. The bartenders are not only friendly but also knowledgeable, offering excellent recommendations. I appreciate that they maintain an accessible archive of past menus, allowing guests to order from a wide range of drink options. Despite its small size and the place sometimes getting crowded, outdoor seating and an extra bar on the back patio provide additional space.”
“Great Happy Hour deals! Staff was super friendly and very accommodating of requests based on dietary restrictions (swapped out veggies for bread in pate appetizer). Burger was delicious. Can’t wait to go back!”
“Try Pizza 20. They serve up delicious, cheesy pizzas with a variety of toppings to choose from. The crust is perfectly crispy, and the flavors are top-notch. Give it a try, and you won't be disappointed?”
“I was contemplating between 4 and 5 stars here. I wish yelp had 'half stars.' Take out: I've ordered take out from here twice and have been very pleased with my experience both times. I had the pad see ew and spicy eggplant. Both were very good. Dine in: I came in for lunch yesterday and had a good experience. I ordered a Thai tea and pad Thai noodles. The Thai tea was delicious and the pad Thai was also very good. The pad Thai did taste slightly burnt but not so much so that i didn't enjoy the dish. Pad Thai 4/5 Thai tea: 5/5 Ambiance: clean. Service: good. It wasn't busy so there's one FOH person. He handled front desk, serving and to go orders just fine. He checked on me throughout my time there. Menu: they do NOT have a lunch menu. I read from previous yelpers that they ordered off the lunch menu, but unfortunately they don't have a lunch menu anymore. Other: i came in to eat and work, but right now they do not have WiFi. I was able to use my hotspot just fine. I will be back to try other menu items as i have enjoyed everything I've eaten so far.”
“The food here was incredible! The sambusas were so crispy. The lentil was my favorite. We also got the derek tibs and the veggie combo platter. It was delicious we somehow finished the entire plate. Injera was super good too. We also really enjoyed the house made honey wine. It was not too sweet and was really good.Vegetarian options: Lots of veggie dishes and vegetarian combo platter”
“Absolutely outstanding. Cannot recommend The Little Grand highly enough. Their pizza is the best in the DC area and their service and atmosphere are incredible as well. Straightforward and thoughtful menu and the staff are more than happy to help you determine the best options for your taste, just ask. Cocktails are awesome and the wine list is focused and always interesting. Definitely check it out.Parking: Always parking available on the side streets.Kid-friendliness: Great with kids. Very welcoming atmosphere for families, especially early in the evening.”
“The very best baked goods in the area. We drive from Bowie just to grab a chocolate chip cookie some days. And if we’re lucky and get them warm out of the oven!… ? ? ?.”
“The food was really good. They provide big portions. I ate half of the Apollo grain bowl and saved the rest. The amount of food you receive and the quality of the food is worth the price. Each dish seems pretty customizable. I will definitely stop by again to try other items. The parking situation isn't great.”
“What a great place ! I’m Swiss and very critical when it comes to “ Swiss restaurants “ in other countries. The best Kalbs Bratwurst und Rösti. The Vermicelli tasted just like at home. Great hospitality. And fair prices. THANK YOU FOR A HOME EXPERIENCE AWAY FROM HOME”
“Reserved a private room for a bday. The food they brought out was delicious. The mezcal and fig cocktail is one of the best drinks Ive ever had. Dusan took care of us he was very attentive and kept the whole big party satisfied.”
“Amazing!! Best guacamole we’ve ever had. Margarita was excellent. We had the short ribs, taquitos, and a variety of the tacos. Ordered a second guac. Server, Angel, was superb!! Can’t say enough about this place.Dietary restrictions: Great options for gluten free and vegan.”
“This place defines the word community. I don’t come to places twice when in DC. This has become an exception to the rule now. The owners made me feel like old friends. The staff are courtesy and professional. I had an amazing coffee. Great beer the night before and watched the WNBA playoffs. I also watched the owner serve her community when someone most bars would throw out came in then one of the owners got up and got this lady some soda. Little things like this are impressive - yes this is a bar, but it is true community demonstrated live and In person.”
“Credit where credit is due. This subway is a step above most. The staff were friendly and even chatted with me while prepping my sandwich. The inside is clean and orderly.Parking: Free 1 hour parking in the garage connected to the retail area. 35 spots.”
“I come to this restaurant a few times a month. The place is very exceptional. It has great food that can be an alternative to typical fast food places. If you tire of fast food, I recommend people should come here.Have you tried their fried chicken?”
“What a sweet wine spot! We came just before close on a Sunday and I am so glad we stumbled in! The small shop is bright and airy with high ceilings. Their tiled bar seating seats at least 10 people, with tables up in the front near the entrance for larger groups. There were also 2 seater high tops in the back that people were reading books at while enjoying glasses of wine. The service - amazing! The two people behind the bar knew all about their wines and were able to suggest some glasses to us off their Women in Wine list for March. I liked that while the rest of their wine list was from your typical wine producing regions, their Women in Wine selections were more local. They also do events and try to incorporate themselves into the community since they're local - so really a great local wine and cheese bar! They also have a wine and cheese subscription - it looked amazing and pretty affordable, too. They also just recently opened a spot in Union Market - I can't wait to check them out there!”
“Great experience with friendly staff providing excellent customer service. Charles and Symage were helpful to select wines that meet the different tastes of each member in our party. Salute board and lamb sliders were wonderful. Cute spot for a date night or girls night out.”
“Food is all way awesome! Service is always so nice! I really have nothing negative to say about this place! I eat here several times a week and even have my friends driving from dc jus to eat here!”
“Super kind and helpful staff and food is 10/10.Had brisket sandwich, tried the cheddar sausage, and had a banana cream pudding. I forgot to even try the bbq sauce cause the brisket doesn’t need it. Good Texas bbq. Can’t wait to try other meats.”
“Food was absolutely amazing highly recommend the Cajun pasta or the hot honey lemon pepper sandwich. Also huge Shoutout to our host Kay she was so pleasant and so sweet. 10/10 customer service”
