“We went here for the first time today and absolutely loved it. The atmosphere is so welcoming and relaxing. The food is excellent I recommend the crab cake appetizer, the heavenly eggs, and the chicken and waffles. I also noticed the manager going around to tables making sure everyone got great service and I thought that was great to see. Our server was Natalia with the beautiful red hair, she is so sweet and polite. She was also efficient and checked on us often and I look forward to having her as our server again. Overall this was a great first experience and we will definitely be back. I have literally no complaints!“
“This was our first time coming in and we really enjoyed our food. We got chicken and waffles, a classic crepe, and an egg and cheese crepe.The chicken was especially good!Staff was also super nice. There's a little coffee bar off to the side with sugar and different flavored creamers. I asked if they had just regular milk and they were able to give me some which was much appreciated.Definitely will be back.“
“I've always loved this place in the past. We expected to wait on Sunday for brunch. Told 45 minutes, you can take a walk, so we did. About 20-25 minutes, then waited on the sidewalk while they called other people. After 20 more minutes, I asked to see where we were on the list and they'd been calling people who arrived after us. The atmosphere is nice and one of the main things I liked here. Acoustics are terrible though. When everyone is talking, it's hard to hear your dining companions. The prices have gone up, like everywhere, and the food was just good. Probably won't return for a while.Vegetarian options: They used to have a veggie Benny, but it was not on the menu this time. Not super impressed with veg options.“

This place has been a staple in Mt Vernon for at least 15 yrs. I have never had a bad food experience here in all the years I've been patronizing this establishment. The food is especially good after a night out drinking. “Simply Marie’s is simply THE BEST. These are the best pancakes I’ve EVER had. We didn’t leave a bite left on the plate. The owner was very kind/friendly. The inside is clean but small (takeout if you don’t get there early) and the family story is so sweet. We will definitely be back!“

Good coffee, yes, yummy grits with cheese (my daughter had the tomato soup and grilled cheese) , relaxed homey elevated atmosphere with aninstallation of African textiles, patterns, color, and more. “This is one of the only things I missed about going into the office was coming here and getting a sausage egg and cheese on wheat toast with jelly and butter. This deli does what its needs to do its in a convenient location, its quick and the food is good. Cant ask for anything else“

“Rise fulfilled a catering order for my office this week. Everyone enjoyed the food so much. When I picked it up the food was hot, service was super friendly, and they threw in some butters and jams for the biscuits. Overall a great experience. Would definitely use for catering again!“
“The location is tightly situated when it comes to parking, but the food and service make up for any inconvenience. The greeter/register attendants were gracious. Our server was so friendly and jovial that our interaction was quite memorable. Unfortunately, I'm horrible with names, so I can't give him the most deserving shout-out. I am a picky eater and hate all grenery that is usually garnishing your meal. Our server must have relayed super specific instructions for the chef because everything I don't like was in little tin cups to the side. I truly enjoyed my meal thanks to him. Everything was made to perfection- Bacon cooked evenly, eggs cooked & done still soft with the taste of cheese, the Waffle Crisp of the edges// soft on the inside…. AND THE GRITS!!!!! ?????? doesn’t matter if U like SUGAR or SALT* or CHEESE* on top… the texture and neutral taste of them with nothing on top is AMAZING ???… this is a must go to— with BlueMoon & FirstWatch… I’m just sorry I didn’t go earlier ???— the only things needed to improve would be the aesthetics — like maybe a white ceiling & better made tables - The rest is A+ ???“

“First time I visited it in a long time, but wanted a good breakfast, including pancakes. Friends suggested it and I wasn't disappointed. My waitress was excellent, friendly, and the 2 scrambled eggs, 2 big pancakes, 2 crisp bacon strips, order of hash browns, plus small pitcher of coffee were excellent. It was a little noisey, but after all, it is a family restaurant and that's to be expected. I highly recommend it, especially for a good breakfast at a fair price.“

“The Food is great! This location does amazing when you sit-in to eat. But everytime I order either delivery or to go, they leave important parts out. If I order a cinnastack to go, they will give me pancakes with no icing, just cinnamon sauce. I ordered the newyork cheesecake mini stack this time, they gave me no whipped cream, no strawberries, and no strawberry syrup. They're food is delicious, just make sure your order is correct when you order togo!“
