“Today was my 1st time ordering from this place and the food was excellent! I ordered two catfish dinners, smothered pork chop dinner, kids chicken tenders with fries, sides of potato salad, collard greens candied yams and cornbread. Every single item was perfect! The corn bread and candied yam was not overly sweetened like how other places are. The entrees were all cooked and made to perfection. I took a gamble on placing a large order and I don't regret it! The inside of the restaurant was clean and I was greeted right away. The staff was outstanding and lastly my large order was correct with nothing missing at all. “I met a former co-worker in LaPlata for lunch over the long weekend and her dining choice was closed. I am not a fan of chain restaurants and recommended Apple Spice Junction as an alternative ~ it's a traditional deli restaurant (limited seating) with sandwiches, salads, and soup options. I haven't been to Apple Spice Junction in years ~ I am happy to report that they still offer freshly prepared reasonably priced food. This place is a solid 4 stars and is worth the try if you find yourself in LaPlata.“
