“While the decor is a bit dated, the food is pretty damn good for a golf course bar. Service CAN be a bit spotty due to crowd vs. staffing for the day, but everyone is nice and very accommodating. We go back repeatedly.I recommend the fried chicken sandwich fries. Somehow, they've recreated the classic McDonalds french fry before they changed the recipe.“

“Excellent drinks and food. I am from the greater Seattle area, and it feels like a sexy downtown bar.We have been there also for a few of their events, and they were fabulous. Can not wait for better weather to enjoy their patio and a nice walk to the waterfront.“

“I have eaten here several times and every time the food is amazing. My favorite so far has been the cream of crab soup but also their shrimp wrap. Everytime I try a new item I’m impressed. Everyone there is extremely nice and friendly. I would recommend this place. It is always packs which speaks volumes about the food and service.“

“Solid selection! Date night was a hit...reservations recommended/required on a Friday night. We truly enjoyed the blackened Snapper, SOMD egg-rolls, and fried oysters. Beth was very attentive in taking care of us. Great crowd (hence the reservations) kept the place lively and entertaining. Worth the drive to experience this classic SOMD bar & grill. Enjoy! OBTW....don't overlook the adjacent grocery for THE BEST stuffed ham and chicken salad!“

“Went a birthday celebration. The food was good. I had the lamb it was cooked really well. We had a large group, and the waiter was responsive and did a great job keeping up. “Happened by here after work and gave it a try as I had commercials on the radio focused on the live music. Got a great local IPA from a local brewery across the Potomac and an ice cold glass just the right size. Lots of house made specials from an owner who is very hands on. We shared an order of the Chesapeake pay fries smothered in she crab soup and parm. They were absolutely delish and while a surprising combination paired well together. Even though it’s an hour from home, I’m already planning my next trip. Reduced hours off season so check before you go.“
