“Absolutely adore this place. I went for my birthday this year and brought a group of 15. The customer service and food was 5 star. Kurtis the Assistant Manager helped me navigate seating and payment arrangements with ease. Jordan our server was a consistency friendly face, was highly attentive to our group, and provided exceptional customer service. In addition, the food is always incredible and delicious. I found our time there to be fun and easy.“
“The service is wonderful. Very fast and fresh. I recommend the Birria pizza. They also have different types of specialties, a lot of different options for tacos, burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, different types of desserts, chips, and guacamole, or queso. Everything they have here is really good.“
“Bri was suchhh an amazing server!! 11/10 experience. It was my first time at this restaurant and she was so patient walking me through the menu and had great recommendations for my dietary restrictions. Such an amazing experience and great food. Thank you Bri!!“
“Orders are placed via phone or you can order at the counter but the tip defaults to 22%. I’m a generous tipper but am annoyed at this, esp when our server didn’t return with sugar after being asked for it or to check up on us. Otherwise, it’s a very cozy place.“
“I went to Imperfecto for a work event and was very impressed with the beautiful decor and ambiance. The service was incredible, and the food followed suit. The truffle pasta was a highlight. I also had the eclair for dessert which was also delicious!“
“The atmosphere here is amazing, you immediately relax. The drinks were incredible and the food was out of this world! The best dining experience I’ve had in years, I left with a giant smile on my face. Wish Anthony Bourdain was alive to taste this place.“
“My wife and I had dinner on our anniversary and the food and service was outstanding. The menu is full of outstanding options and the atmosphere and vibe is great for date night or dinner with friends. Definitely one of the best restaurants in DC!“
“I ate my empanadas immediately upon it hitting the table so I didn't get a picture, holy god they were delicious. Get the lime (?) sauce with them as it makes them damn near euphoric. Great service from the bartender and chefs, highly recommend if you can get a seat!“
“I got the pollo frito with tostones on the side and a little pickled slaw on top. It was delicious - reminded me of how my grandma fried chicken. Crispy and flavorful. The tostones were crispy too. I just wish you got one more piece of chicken for $18. Overall, totally worth it.“
“Last night I had an incredible time at Kumbia, the DJs played the best music, my wife and I didn't stop dancing and we liked Ivanna's attention, that's why we always ask her to attend to us because she already knows what we're drinking ?thanks kumbia and thanks ivannita for the attention and affection... you are the best!!!“
“I ordered the 3 beef tacos (tacos de Birria) that came with a consommé. Amazing. Service was fast and friendly. They are doing some facade changes out front, landlord? My husband had the chicken enchiladas and he really liked them. They give a green sauce with the chips that was very tasty. I would definitely come here again.“
“Mama Chepas is fantastic and should be packed all the time! They serve breakfast, lunch, and dinner 7 days a week- no easy feat! Everything I've had there has been delicious. Favorites are Pollo con Tejadas, pupusas, fajitas, birria tacos, fish tacos, and bread pudding. Even their rice and beans are super flavorful! Portions are generous, prices are fair, and taste is outstanding. And the service is fast and friendly. It's easy to order takeout online as well. Don't sleep on this hidden gem!!! Let's make sure they stay in the neighborhood for a long time!“
“Super cool spot!!!!!!!! I’ve been coming here since Wilfredo first opened his doors. I’ve come to think of it as a home away from home. The food is exactly what the doctor ordered after a long days work. Karaoke Tuesdays has completely brought me out of my shell. It’s definitely become a hidden gem for the Brightwood community. I highly recommend stopping in and checking it out.“
“Bar tenders were delightful, the view of the Capitol at night was spectacular and the food was so good I went back the following night to eat the same thing again! Chef stopped at the tables to check on his guests and thank them for coming!“
“TLDR: The food was better than some "fine dining" I've had, but its a totally humble family diner. My God, the food. I personally tried the yucca con chicharron, masitas de puerco, lomo saltado, and a piece of tres leches, and can vouch for them all. The masitas de puerco was absolutely my favorite; the pork was so tender and the sauce was crazy savory. Truly I can't remember the last time I had something so good. If you are a fan of onions or pork I cannot recommend it enough. The staff was polite, attentive, and accommodating.I will say it is a bit small/there's not a lot of seating. We came after peak dinner hours (8pm) when it wasn't full, but if all the tables were full I could see it being a bit crowded and chaotic. Would be totally worth it in my opinion, but if that's not for you, just come later like we did.“
“We walked into this unassuming neighborhood restaurant in Bethesda after seeing rather positive reviews, and walked out pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, flavorful, but not overwhelmingly seasoned. We loved most of our dishes especially the seafood saffron soup, sautéed shrimp with garlic, octopus, grilled squid, stuffed Portobello mushrooms. Lovely desserts got the flan con naranja and the chocolate mousse cake. Highly recommended.“
“El Cielo made our Valentine’s celebration a memorable experience! I wanted to surprise my husband this year and the CCO, Pedro, was very helpful when it came to helping me with last minute reservations. The entire staff was friendly, eloquent, and very professional. My husband and I are both Spanish speakers (it is our mother tongue) and we loved interacting with the staff in Spanish (this made it so much more special to us). Now, as for the food. Let me just start by saying that when I told my husband what our dining experience would be like, he was very skeptical. He is an amateur fighter, and when he is not doing “fighting camps” he LOVES to eat. When we arrived he was already making plans to go eat arepas after, to finish filling his tummy. Needles to say, arepas did not happen after, as he was extremely full from all the courses. Each meal was beautifully presented, and tasted just as divine! We loved knowing what each meal represented and they are all a beautiful homage to Colombia. The atmosphere in El Cielo, is very cozy. The aesthetics of the restaurant itself makes you feel like you are eating at a friends house. From the decorations to the music. Y para terminar, usando las palabras de mi hermoso esposo después de finalizar nuestra cena “Parce, toda esta comida estaba tan rica que te hace sentir que estás en el cielo”. El Cielo, un nombre tan propio para este encantador lugar. Nuevamente, muchísimas gracias a todos por hacer, y ser parte, de esta experiencia única e inolvidable para nosotros. Hasta la próxima!“
“I am so happy to have a restaurant of this caliber in Friendship Heights. It's the sort of dining experience I expect to have downtown but I'm thrilled to have it just around the corner from my home. We came in without reservations on a Saturday night and had no problem getting a table (again, a place like this would be packed if it were downtown or somewhere like U Street). The food, cocktails, and service were great. Jose took good care of us. They are not kidding when they say the XL plates are meant to be shared--we split the short rib sandwich and it was massive. We ordered a few appetizers and the scallops with the toasted bread was our favorite (maybe ask for more bread so you can fully soak up that excellent parmesan sauce!). And leave room for dessert! We had the ube ice cream and it was fantastic.“
“Saga restaurant in DC offers a delightful dining experience with its fresh vegetables and fruit, complemented by a selection of top-quality teas. The attentive staff ensures a pleasant atmosphere, adding to the overall enjoyment of the meal.“
“Found restaurant while looking for an affordable place near our downtown hotel within walking distance. Food was great. Wish there had been a little better description when ordering, but it likely would have caused me to order more. Wish they had fountain soda rather then cans only.“
“I went to this place for a birthday celebration and I had a blast.. We ordered seafood soup baleadas and pupusas. It was all DELICIOUS. I also had Micheladas and must say is one of the best I’ve ever had.I highly recommend this place and can't wait to come back to try the rest of their menu.“
“A perfectly small size business with a home-cooked meal type vibe. They understood the assignment on authentic Cuban food. We loved everything from the appetizers to our main dish. I couldn't finish everything. I took it in a box to go and definitely finished it before my plane ride home.“
“Nice really nice small Guatemalan restaurant in the heart of Washington DC!Service was really good (one lady show) perfect. Waiting time was short!Food was great… Guate tamales extremely good… freshly fried chicken empanadas!! Guac n chips.. guac could be a bit more, true Guatemalan flavor… and crema… good crema! Yes Guatemala crema flavor!“
“I started coming here about 15 years ago but have since moved away. I make it a point to come here every time I come to visit family. Hands down the best rotisserie chicken you will ever have. End of story. Out of this world juicy and flavorful.“
“This place is good simple Mexican restaurant. It's not expensive but a very good experienceVegetarian options: Beans Burittos rice soup quesadillaDietary restrictions: Accommodation for gluten intoleranceParking: There is ample parking right next to the restaurant“
“Los Primos is one of the most amazing tasting authentic Mexican food I have had here in Rockville MD!! My favorite dishes are the cheese quesodila, cheese Tamale, steak and chicken Fajita, and of course their Guacamole and salsa, and of course their famous Strawberry margarita. A special shout out to Ariel who works so hard to make this place so beautiful and thank you Ever for your amazing service! We will be back. Thank you Los Primos for an amazing experience ❤️“
“This new arrival to P St NW in DuPont is going to be a hit. There is finally a spot with good tacos in DC!Music is cool upbeat EDM and the atmosphere is clean and modern. The prices are reasonable at $15-$25 for a good sized meal.I'm looking forward to coming back with friends to try their 4:30-7:30 happy hour.“
“I really enjoyed eating at Samantha’s! I was so surprised to walk in and see a lot of families eating in there, which told me this was a popular spot with potentially a lot of returning customers. We ordered the argentine steak that was supposed to come with a chimichurri sauce but didn’t appear present on the steak, more so “flavored” chimichurri I guess.. and I ordered beef and ribs fajitas. The rice and beans were really good and tasty. I enjoyed my beef fajitas, but the ribs were a little too saucy and more American bbq tasting than Latino style. I see that they have a pork ribs entree on the menu which I may try next time to see if they’re any but different than the fajitas.I really liked that they had a large menu with many options so we can try different stuff each time we come back. Will be returning soon with local family!“
“Been here dozens of times over the years. And the rumors are true. Easily the best pollo a la brasa place in the area. Chicken and sauces are reliably excellent and very reasonably priced. Feeding a family of four with room to spare for $22 is something you can't even do at McDonalds these days. Sides are limited in variety, but they're ok. Only gripe is the fried yuca is often chewy, hard, and/or dry. But skip that menu item, and you'll be fine.“
“Tried Maria's yesterday after reading about it on the Support MOCO restaurant FB page. They didn't steer me wrong. Lovely little cafe with delicious food. I had the chicken fajitas- they were fresh and delicious with rice, beans, tortillas, and their homemade guacamole. I was in heaven. Will definitely be coming back. A lot.“
“A Mexican restaurant with some surprises. One of us got cajun jambalaya. Not Mexican. Not bad. I wasn't looking for a touch of New Orleans, but they nailed the sauce, with chicken and shrimp cooked just right. Our other dishes were traditional: shrimp fajitas and chicken fajitas. Again properly cooked and seasoned. Plenty of components to add into the tortilla wrapper. We finished with tres leches dessert. Moist and sweet as it was designed. Is 4 stars harsh? I based it on other Mexican restaurants that are on this level. For 5 stars, I needed them to be a cut above.“
“We were a little hesitant because of how small the store front was but it ended up being absolutely delightful! We had the empanadas as an appetizer, they were delicious. The bread was such a great consistency, better than the best cornbread. I had the carne asada, and it was so fresh and delicious. All of the food was very authentic! I even tried a new drink, not alcoholic, it was like a tea that was cold but somewhat spicy. It was delicious !! We will definitely be going back for another round ;-) Service was very quick and polite as well.“
“Went there for a date with my wife. Ambiance was good. The decor is very elegant and makes you feel like you've come to a high end, well curated spot. Food was fantastic. The sushi in particular was very good. As good if not better than The Hamilton. Drinks were great. A well kept industry secret is alcoholic beverages are often watered down to save cost. Not at this place. One Manhattan and I was good for the night! :) Looking forward to our next visit there to try something else on the menu! We had an issue at the restaurant but since posting a review here (which I removed), management reached out with a fair offer to compensate us for the inconvenience. in the end they dealt with things in a professional manner.“
“When you need a taste of Bolivia, whether you are Bolivian or not, stop by Saya Salteña in DC. Their food is great! They have salteñas, humintas, relleno de papa, cuñapes, sopa de mani, and so much more. Oh, how could I forget, they have my favorite, mocochinchi. And to add the cherry on top their customer service is superb! A definite must have.Vegetarian options: They have vegetarian salteñas.“
“Great food and great service! Love the chip and dips they served. I also love how servers were making sure that we had everything we needed. And when we asked for more additions toppings, they didn't hesitate to bring more! Definitely recommend the fajitas with steak! My new favorite!“
“Was pleasantly surprised with our meal here. Carne asada had good flavor, and service was good even on a busy night. Some negatives were that the taquitos sinaloa were plain tasting, and the table salsa was watery/lacking flavor. Having lived in Montgomery County for 10 years, Uncle Julio's in Rio Gaithersburg has been my family's go-to for Tex Mex over the years. We've not liked the direction they've gone recently with their menu or pricing practices, so hopefully Villa Maya can remain a great alternative for the foreseeable future.“
“Looking for an authentic Honduran food restaurant & this is it. The staff are friendly & knowledgeable about the food even though all the servers weren't from Honduras, but I was assured all the cooks are Honduran. The food was wonderful with large portions. One of the fish dishes was served as a whole fish, head & tail! It was amazing. The inside dining room is small. There is also an outdoor area.“
“I am home sick and just needed something tasty as comfort food. I had been craving nachos and looked up options for delivery. Lo and behold, J & J has nachos that don't break the bank and are tasty. I'm a fan of keeping simple food simple but they managed to do that while making very tasty nachos. It also included three sauces which kicked up the flavor. The delivery arrived super quick and was accurate so 10/10 for service.“
“Did a pick up order. The Steak sandwich was really really good and whatever bread they used was really good too. Empanadas were good but nothing special in my opinion, however I wasn't a huge fan of the dip, which seemed to be just sour cream. Calamari was decent but I wouldn't pay $11 for it again. Overall, pretty nifty little spot.“
“We had a large gathering of 14 for dinner. Everything was great. Immediate attention by our server, Patricia. Patricia was pleasant and patient. The food and drinks were served quickly. The food was delicious with huge portions. The brought out the birthday cake that we brought, sang, and took back to the kitchen for cutting and serving. We stayed and were never pressured to leave after dinner. It was a very nice experience and would recommend! Will definitely be back.“
“We were looking for a place close to a tournament our son was participating in. The reviews looked decent and the prices reasonable, so we decided to give it a try. This is the place where the locals go...and that's how we knew it would be good. The food was fresh, hot and delicious. The waitress was very friendly and attentive until it got too busy for her. We ordered the chicken, fries, maduros, papusas, a quesadilla and a sandwich. None of us left dissapointed or hungry. If you are in the area, this is worth a stop in to eat.Dietary restrictions: This is a easy place to go if you eat gluten-free since so many of the foods are naturally gluten-free“
“ONE OF THE BEST In DC still can't get enough of the swirl frozen margaritas. Food is always consistent. I've been in DC at least a decade always enjoyable, small wait time for table.Parking: Have a lot but it fills quickly. Annex parking is a couple blocks away and then DC street parking will be a challenge.Kid-friendliness: Yes accommodates children well.Wheelchair accessibility: Will need assitance to get to first dinning level“
“Staff is cool and attentive, and the food is fresh and tasty. Unique style of fusion food that I've really enjoyed. Chicken and tofu Korean rice bowl with sriracha and lime cream has been a go-to for me whenever I've gone here. This is a cool new joint in the Kentlands that is clean with plenty of seating.“
“Absolutely amazing. I've been craving birria and when I saw that they had a birria pizza I was so excited. The green salsa was spicy and delicious ask my toddler he wouldn't stop dipping his piece in it. The birria it's self is juicy and perfectly seasoned. The Jamaica drink is incredible never had it till tonight. The staff are very friendly. Definitely coming back.“
“A nice surprise really. My appetizers were the civiche with fried calamari and a cheese pupusa. Both were delicious. The calamari dish had tilapia in it which was also great. For my drinks (which were the real stars) I had a blackberry vodka mule and a Cranberry orange margarita. Both were well made.“
“Oh my goodness! Those arepas are ridiculously delicious! Perfectly seasoned and plenty of meat! The shredded chicken Catira was AMAZING! Also had the yuca balls. Yummy too! I purchased one of their sauces and it was delicious with just the right kick! Definitely in my top 5 favorites!“
“Local Mom & Pop Peruvian Chicken Place W/heart We'd planned to go to another place but our plans changed unexpectedly. So we decided to try this chicken place instead. We'd heard good things from friends and as we walked in we smelled even better things, like their killer rotisserie chicken. Lunch for 2, a half a chicken, 2 sides and 2 soda was around $18, which isn't bad in today's economy. The chicken was tasty, the Mac and cheese was creamy and the Peruvian fried rice was decent. It was a clean looking restaurant and friendly staff. The Peruvian green sauce was delicious. I found dining hear to be a quiet and relaxing good lunch, on a Saturday afternoon. If you are interested and close by, check them out.“
“We have been to Juanita's twice now...a true hidden gem! The family is so nice, excellent service and truly delicious food. The prices are extremely reasonable for the amount and quality of the food that you get. This time, we tried the beef, chicken, and shrimp fajitas, the carnitas burrito, and the chips and salsa (I wish they sold it in bottles). The chips were clearly made while we were waiting...I've never had any like them! Absolutely delicious and packed with flavor and freshness. We're adding Juanita's to our regular rotation :)“
“The ingredients taste so fresh, and the presentation is well done. Wow! Very nice. I love quality, tasty food.First time ordering, would eat again. Pictured: 3 chicken tacos and a 4 piece chicken quesadilla (takeout) such a great combination.“
“I was recommended this place by a long time local restauranteur. The owners of this truck are HIGHLY respected cooks in the county, especially the Olney area. I was a little surprised by the menu but ordered one item from each "side." I got the cubano sub which is more like a steak and cheese than a Cuban, and the carne asada platter. The food was truly outstanding and that cubano sub really blew me away. It's a delicious, unique take on the traditional Cuban sandwich. The carne asada was wonderful and the portion sizes were huge. Highly recommend coming here if you're in the area. You'll be full all day!“
