“I’ve been eating here since I was 8 and every time I return to DC this is my first stop. No other chicken place compares. I dream about the dark meat + white sauce + Inca cola combo and would gladly have it for my last meal on earth. Beyond grateful for this epic institution ?“
“Stopped by here with my sister and ordered a pork and cheese popusa and the Guatemalan style steak, which came with Pico, avocado, rice, beans, 2 tortillas, and a cheese whose name eludes me but was delicious. Everything was fantastic. The portions were generous, the tortillas were made in house and delicious, and the steak was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. All together, it was about $20 which was a bargain for the quantity and quality. Our waitress was super sweet and the atmosphere is great. I will be coming back. I've been to tons of south American places and I can say this is one of my favorites. I will definitely be coming back“
“I've been eating at Caribbean Grill since I was a kid in the 90s, and it's still one of my favorite places! I've never had anything here I didn't like, but the chicken burritos (pollo a la brasa with black beans, rice, tomatoes, and onions) are my old standby. The saltenas are also wonderful. The yellow sauce is the best around! Fast food prices but so much better!“
“The guy at the front went back and gave his mother the order and she made it. A place that has the Mama working in the back spells amazing and the food was excellent and pretty darn authentic. I have not seen any Mexican restaurants in the area with the true family preparation. Generally see the commercialized sell out of a business model. This is my place.“
“This is the third time I go to maizal and the food is amazing. I always have to ask them to put more food on my plate but other than that the service is good. The only reason I gave a 3 star for the service is because the menu has a halal sign on it but when I asked the staff if all the meat provided is halal or just the chicken, the were clueless they didn’t even know what the meaning of the word halal and they didn’t even notice it on the menu on display. I had to show it to them. It was embarrassing. Other customers were looking perplexed. The place is amazing and so is the food but the staff need to be educated so they are aware about other religion and what halal is. :)“
“A nice gem that's been around forever in S Arlington. Do yourself a favor and get the Enchilada de Salvadorena. It's insane and the value cannot be beaten anywhere. You'll see. Fried yucca instead of chips is a real treat too. Love this place. It's the best restaurant I've even been to.........that's pink! Great people, great food.“
“Ricky’s is dinky little dive bar with delicious food and friendly service. I went with some friends on Easter Sunday and it was delicious! From the awesome house made tortilla chips and guacamole to the perfectly seasoned ceviche, the food alone was worth the trip. Our waitress, Myra (not sure if the spelling is right) was SO sweet and accommodating, especially when it came to the awkward splitting of the bill and asking for to-go containers (you’ll need them, the portions are huge!). The only reason I didn’t give five stars is because the bathrooms could have been a bit cleaner. Will definitely try to come back for happy hour sometime. Thanks, Ricky’s!!“
“$7 for a LARGE lunch. Women owned business by ? “the Queen of pupusas,”Doña Azucena herself. Cheap, delicious comida y bebidas típicas in a casual setting with fast service (order at the counter to take out or dine in). Many vegetarian options (squash & cheese pupusa is GREAT). Order a side of crema salvadoreña for a perfect accompaniment to your meal or snack. Pupusas are the size of your hand, so order 1-3 each. They have Tabasco on the tables and serve a very mild sauce (+ coleslaw) with every order, so BYO hot sauce if you’re craving spicy ?. Desserts are delicious and only $2.MUST ORDER: squash & cheese pupusa, empanada de plátano con leche dessert ($2 and not too sweet).Shoutout to Angela for making me feel so welcome and helping me practice Spanish (she used to be an elementary school teacher)! I’ll be here weekly ?“

“The place itself is a hole and cramped (that's why I subtracted a star) but man their South American food is tasty and authentic. The silpancho? Amazing. Cuñape? Fantastic. Salteñas? Good if you're into those. Wish they were closer to me I'd get the silpancho platter regularly.“
“Had my usual dos Pollo enchiladas with rice and refried beans and it was ok, the refried beans were not that hot I sat at the bar no one talked to me I asked the girl for some more tea she didn't know what I was talking about in fact I only drank a little bit tea because it was so strong I couldn't drink it but I drank it anyway there's a big difference from the last time I was there the employees had no desire to wait on me“

“I really enjoyed my time here. I was craving a little bit of Madrid and while trying to find a restaurant, I stumbled upon this place just a few minutes from my hotel.Right from the first encounter with the manager as I walked in, I knew I was going to like this place.Cristiano and Cristian behind the bar were great. The recommended all those amazing plates. I ended up doing a paella tapa as well as the Argentinian steak with chimichurri paired with a lovely Malbec.Remember, these are tapas, so the plates wont be giant. A couple of plates should get you to where you’d like. And the prices are very reasonable.I definitely recommend this place. I can’t wait to be back in Arlington so that I can go back and see my peeps. I made friends with the staff that night. They were truly one of the best restaurant staffs out there. Thanks Sabores team for a great first encounter!Parking: They share a parking garage with the apartment building. You can get your parking ticket validated by the staff before you leave. However, the first hour in the garage is FREE“
