“Food was all great. Loved everything we tried at the buffet.Vegetarian options: Quite a few options, all delightful.Kid-friendliness: For the kids with a smaller food pallet for respective ages-several easier options for them. Kids cups with fun straws. Staff polite and engaging with the kids.“
“Food is excellent and seasoned perfectly. Service is on point. However, the price is a bit steep for a buffet and keeps me from visiting more often, hence the 4 stars. It will be nice for this restaurant to finally get some competition in Ellicott City soon.Dietary restrictions: Dairy-free and vegan friendly.“
“There’s a few solid Indian options in Baltimore (Darbar is a local favorite, always), but we were running some errands and absolutely starving, happened to notice this restaurant had 4.8* after a couple hundred reviews and it 100% deserves every star. We sampled the Vindaloo and goat curry along with an insanely good fried fish app and got four+ meals out of it the lot. Mind blowingly good food and excellent, friendly service as well. Would highly, highly recommend!“
“Literally the best Naan I've ever had in my life. And it's literally just garlic Naan but it's done so well and when you can do the simple things you KNOW the rest is going to be phenomenal. Chicken Korma was no exception. Delicious. Mango Lassi was super refreshing and tasted homemade too!The employees here are so freaking nice too!!Definitely come here if you want a chill Indian spot if you're not a local and wanna people watch with great food. (They also had a full bar and all the drinks I saw made looked really good, but I didn't have any)“
“I had the curry lamb bowl lunch special ,the garlic naan and the gulab jamun all of it was exceptional, lamb tender and delicious,I really enjoyed eating every single bit of this food, this is now my favorite Indian cuisine spot. Those gulab jamun I could eat a whole tray of those ,wow ,I’m definitely impressed by the flavors, everything was fantastic .“
“Went on a Saturday for the lunch buffet. Every dish was AWESOME! Great selection of food, naan for the table, and the chai was delicious. We could only eat 2 plates before we were all stuffed! This is a "hidden" gem that should have a line out the door 24/7. Can't wait to go back!“
“We went to Indigma this evening for restaurant week. The food was fantastic and my nine-year-old loved everything! She gave it a 1523/10 rating! Though everything was excellent, the creme brulee was the best I've ever had. Thank you for a fantastic meal!“
“Absolutely AMAZING dinner experience!!!! We enjoyed the food so much and the drinks and desserts are superb (: The service was very amicable and quick!! We had so many different meals and on average as a group of five spent about $25 each. I love the Rose Falooda and the Desi Chai was so fresh and warm. Definitely come eat here, the restaurant is new and deserves to treat many more customers!!!Kid-friendliness: Kid friendly for sure, there is a kids menu!Wheelchair accessibility: Wide aisles, can easily pull up to a table“
“Darbar is just around the corner from me and is one of my go-tos for takeout/Indian food. The food is always good and is very reasonably priced. I tend to gravitate toward the paneer tikka masala with garlic naan and it always such a comforting food. This past week I went with a friend to try their weekend buffet special. The cost per person is $18.50 which is reasonable, but I was kind of let down by the buffet. I did enjoy the fact that I was able to try a ton of different items that I am usually not adventurous to try, but overall the food was just alright. I truly judge places on their butter chicken, and I have to say the buffet version that they had was subpar. Additionally, most of the food was barely lukewarm (likely due to not having covers and instead having an open salad bar type of deal) which is a big deal for me because of safety (food should be held over 140F) and that in general I usually like my food to not be piping hot and this still was too cold for me. Overall, I think as a sit down restaurant that Darbar is great, but the buffet is definitely not worth it.“
“This place is amazing. We had a lamb doner pizza and samosas. Both were excellent. We also ordered a kids cheese pizza for our picky 5 year old and she ate 3/4 of it. We were amazed she was able to eat that much, so she was impressed, too! Our order came out fast, and the staff was friendly. It's very small, but worth trying. We'll definitely be back next time we're in the area!“
“Stopped in for lunch with a friend. I ordered the buffet, and they ordered from the menu.Staff noticed me waiting for my friend's food to arrive, and provided them with a smaller plate from the buffet so we could both start eating. Not just great food and service, but great hospitality!“
“We recently discovered Sweet 27, had driven by many times but never stopped. We were getting tired of our same favorite spots and decided to try something new. They did not disappoint! Family owned, which we love supporting. Food was very good and different things on the menu that I had not seen on other Indian restaurant menus. Vegan bakery is excellent! Highly recommend trying! One of the owners helped us so kind and warm.“
“I was in the area to pick up and this spot popped up and thought it would be a good one to try for appetizers. Cozy interior with some outside seating. I was asked if I had a reservation when I walked in-I didn't and asked if I was out of luck. They did have some open tables but I was picking up. Quite around 5:30. Based on the friendly staff's recommendation, ordered Tikki Chaat, Mixed Veggie Pakodas and Trini Doubles. All 3 were Vegan and delicious with complex spices/flavors- the Pakodas are also Gluten free. If I had to choose a favorite it would be the Chaat-Potato Patties dipped in curried chutney with just the right amount of spicy. Service was exceptional with a high level of patience for answering my questions and providing recommendations. Picked up a bit by 6. Will be back for dinner. If in Hampden, make this stop!“
“Our takeout was absolutely delicious. The samosa order has four in the order and comes with nice sauces. The Malai kofta and vegetable korma were nicely spiced and generously portioned. We asked for mildly spicy and they did a good job spicing it. We'll probably order it spicy next time. Yay!“
“Been here twice, once was years ago pre-pandemic and it was fabulous. We said we should come back here more often but never did… then the pandemic messed everything up and we went travel nursing. Now we’re back in town again… AND ITS STILL AMAZING. I got a jalfrezi, and hubby got tikka masala. The medium felt like a true medium, not whitewashed. Service was lovely. We were one of two couples who dined in, but looks like they have a busy takeout business. So glad they didn’t disappear in the pandemic like so many other places! Give it a try, you won’t be disappointed!“
“I just ordered food through Uber. I have food allergies and when I called them he was so great about it. It was awesome customer service. Now food OMGGGGGGGGG best Pakistani food no joke. I am picky as hell when I say their food is amazing. It was amazing. Can’t wait to try this place in person!!!! Thank you for awesome food. Perfect way to open fast!!! Chana was the best finally really Pakistani Chana dish!!! ❤️?❤️“
“I loved going here for lunch. Was greeting with a smile. Buffet looked great! But I opted out for the menu...I had the chicken Tikka and daal makhni w/ onion kulcha. Very flavourful and authentic!I was pleased with the atmosphere and it wasn't crowed nor loud.Plenty of parking:)I'll be back to taste other items plus dessert!“
“Listen….I was only trying to get a bite after work! I was not expecting to meet such a wonderful family with great customer service, that made me good fresh food (customized to my diet by the way). They are literally across the street from where I work and tried to comp my entire meal! Thank you but no thank you, that food was bussing! I had the Chicken Dhaba with rice and Garlic Naan bread. The food was priced nicely and good portions! The ambience was great, the son gave me a little lesson on their Punjabi culture and the wife showed me all the figurines she brought back from India and staged in the restaurant. They have only been open for 4 months but the way those door dashes were coming in there picking up, means the neighborhood knows good eats!#baltimorefoodie #baltimore #downtownbaltimore #foodinbaltimore #mountvernonbaltimore #indiancuisine #hiddengems #baltimorerestaurants #indianfood #latenighteats #instagram #explore #tourist #instagramfoodie #tiktok #tiktokindia #esthiesgottaeatDietary restrictions: I am lactose intolerant and he used coconut milk as a substitute and the dish was still incredible!“
“My meal here was delicious! I shared the vegetable samosas to start, and the lamb khaara masala for our entree. Was able to taste a few other dishes that our table received, and everything was very tasty. Even the mango lassi and desserts we had were amazing. Would come back again in the future.“
“I am obsessed with this place. I’m just going to list some of my faves, but know the entire menu is insanely delicious.Lamb keema mattar - my go to order.Lamb Rogan Josh - my other go to order.Chicken soup - if you are sick this will heal you.Chicken curry - not as heavy as the butter/tikka options but just as flavorful.Chan masala - the best chickpeas I’ve had.Chan saag - my other veg go to.Note that the saags are the spiciest thing they serve (imo). I order everything medium except saag, I have to go mild with those. No idea who’s ordering anything spicier than medium here, but you’re wild.“
“If you want an incredible quaint and delicious experience, try lumbinis! My friends and I love their lunch buffet. There are so many options that are packed with flavor and just the right amount of spice (or not for others!) Highly recommend!“
“Service was on point even though I was the only one here. Lamb biryani was an explosion of flavor. I ordered it spicy and they delivered. Had me tearing up, but it cleared out all of my sinuses. The chicken korma was well balanced between spice and richness, but the nutty flavor was not as prominent. Raita, mint chutney, and Tamarind chutney were all divine. Overall, it was a fantastic meal and a wonderful local spot. Would recommend for all to come and enjoy a lovely meal“
“Got the Chicken Korma plate with naan and rice. Delicious. The nan was the some of the best I've had - buttery and super fresh. The chicken korma was nice and spicy, had great flavor being bone-in. The rice was perfectly seasoned (not too salty) and had a perfect texture. Nice fellow at the front to boot!“
“I usually don’t eat Indian food, too spicy, but the ambassador makes the food just perfect for my taste. Special occasions when the mood is right, we go to the ambassador for that special taste of Indian cuisine. I’ve been going to the ambassador for the last 20 years. Today I drove 28 miles from home just to enjoy dinner at this great restaurant. Thank you for the good food and good service.“
“I gave atmosphere a 5, but clearly it's a food truck so... the food was VERY flavorful and good. I ordered a saag chicken, chicken masala and vegetable samosas. Oh, and Naan which was also very well done. The portion size to price was more than even.“
“This place is Definitely a hidden gem! It's beautiful inside with wonderful atmosphere and decor. The food was fantastic, great flavors and perfectly made! We went here for my birthday, I had Lamb Korma (wonderful, the lamb was exceptional and so tender) and my partner had something with paneer that had the most wonderful smokey spicy flavor! We had wonderful appetizers and great tea too. I ordered Gulab Jamun as a desert treat and it was amazing, and the wonderful server was so sweet! She had caught that it was my birthday and came back to the table with another Gulab Jamun with a candle and sang me Happy birthday, it really made my day! We will absolutely be back!“
“We had a delicious dinner at India Palace tonight. There was a little wait for the food because we arrived right at opening at 5:00, but this gave us more time for family conversation. It was nice not to rush through the meal and appetizers came out promptly so we were content. Service was good, we were checked on often and the waiter was very nice. The food was nice and hot delivered to our table. Everything was delicious. Thank you for such a pleasant experience.“
“Great food and one of our favorite date night spots. The meat and vegetable delight meals are always perfectly spiced and delicious (come with multiple courses). Highly recommend dining in, we always leave with easy to reheat leftovers. Parking is not hard to find. Take out also seems popular and I'm not surprised.“
“My family got a mailer and decided to try it out- great decision. Half of my family loves pizza and the other half doesn't but loves Indian food so this was the perfect place for us to try.The pizza was great with good crust, the tikka masala is some of the best I've had in the Baltimore area so far and the samosa chaat was super tasty.I really recommend this place- it's definitely not the closest place for us but well worth the drive.Parking: There is paid street parking in front of the restaurant and a free parking lot in the back if you're doing carry out. The restaurant doesn't have signage in the back but there's a walkway to access the front easily.“
