Prior to the event, I spoke with Kennia to make sure my group could be accommodated, and agreed on how to pay for the group. She also added in a very much appreciated freebie for our group.Day of the event, everything went so smoothly. I was able to purchase a gift card to pay for the group of people who came, and Kennia handled our group with ease and no issues. Over 20 people placed an order, there was barely any wait and the food was delicious. “In recent years there seems to be a proliferation of small-plate Mediterranean restaurants. But Yayla remains as one of the best, reasonably priced originals in northern Virginia. There is a pleasing range of mezzes, salads, entrees hot and cold, flat breads, spreads, etc . I had a Yayla mule, 3 spreads, lemony rice soup and superb shrimp. Friends chose a range of other dishes. I can guarantee whatever you choose, you won’t be disappointed. Everything is flavorful, fresh and beautifully presented. “Who would have expected fine dining meals from a small open kitchen (think pizza or sandwich shop style restaurant) with a few tables in a small strip shopping center in Great Falls, Virginia, but Thelo Greek Kuzina’s food was stellar. I could not decide what to get to take home for our family, so got way too much food for four people. Every meal, appetizer, and desert was delicious. we had the lamb shank meal, the New York Sirloin entree, Moussaka, Imam Baildi, lamb gyros, Greek salad, homemade potato chips (best ever), pita and hummus sampler, and more. Deserts were the lemon cake, apricot baklava, sour cherry baklava. Yeah we overdid it on our order, but we enjoyed a smorgasbord of delicious Greek food that made you think it was from a top 10 upscale downtown restaurant. “We made a last-minute reservation before a meeting in Tysons corner. We had been here before because we used to live in McLean. This is really solid Greek food. The cucumber with Taziki sauce for an appetizer and the lamb chops for a main course can't go wrong.“

“May 2024 update: Fava Pot has become hands down one of my favorite restaurants in the broader Washington DC area. The quality of food remains consistently strong and super tasty; probably the best hummus and fresh baked pita I've had in a long time, for starters. This place has become our default go-to for anytime we want tasty food. It's also great for bringing guests since the menu is large and diverse, so can accommodate pretty much any dietary needs. We liked their food so much we ended up asking them to cater our wedding picnic, which went really well.-------------------------------------Original review: Excellent food, reasonable prices, and friendly staff and owners made this a very pleasant experience. “This is a franchise with a limited menu. Cannot order any extra sides. Rice is bland and lacks sufficient spices. Take out is put in an aluminum tray with the fresh salad on top. After you get home the salad is soggy and unfit to eat. Minor changes will improve the experience.“

“How did I forget to review Plaka?? Plaka is consistently amazing. Fast, delicious and friendly service every single time. I love introducing people to Plaka. The food is always fresh and tasty. Some of my favorite things are the Plaka Gyro Wrap which has Authentic Greek-style pork gyro with tomatoes, onions, tzatziki and fries inside. It's filling but you won't be in a food coma afterwards. I also love getting the plaka bowls where you can choose what you want in them. Kind of like Cava but way better.“

You'll feel like you're on a treasure hunt and maybe in the wrong building, but go to the G (=LL) floor via the elevators and it's there. Simple decor and the owner is really friendly and accommodating. The food was excellent - I am vegan and he had no problem using tahini instead of tzaziki in my falafel sandwich, which was one of the best I've had! The prices were extremely reasonable and I am just sad it's so hidden away that people won't just run across it without knowing about it. The food was obviously prepared with care. Worth a visit - I plan on returning!“

“The interaction with the lady at the counter is often a cause of worry. It could be me, but her anxiety and stress levels are thru the roof all the time. It just makes me feel guilty for coming and giving them business. Honestly, this cant be good for her health.The food is scrumptious. Authentic Lebanese food to a South Asian pallette.
