“My husband and I recently visited Bugeye Grill, located in Solomons Island, MD on Valentine's Day! He made dinner reservations a week in advance . . . And he really outdid himself Upon arrival, we were escorted to the second level of the restaurant and to a private dining area, where it was dimly lit for a romantic atmosphere, and guests were entertained by a gentleman in the corner named Jonah playing on a piano ?Our server, a young woman named Leah, was very nice; the food and beverages were excellent; and the entertainment was exquisite ?It was truly a beautiful and perfect and magical evening!!! And my husband and I wish to thank everyone at Bugeye Grill who played a part in making our Valentine's Day a wonderful one ❤️Whether you're a local or just visiting the Solomons Island area, and looking for a taste of the best of what the Chesapeake Bay has to offer . . . I highly recommend dining at Bugeye Grill ?Parking: You're best bet, if not too crowded, is to park somewhere along the boardwalk across the street from the restaurant! That way you can also enjoy a leisurely walk before or after enjoying your meal ?“
“We had an amazing server! I think he is usually behind the bar (if I remember carefully) He wants or is a football coach (I do remember that ) anyways , I run the urgentt care and we had corporate down from GA . He was personal , amazing and gave great service! They wanted to give my number to him , but I did not give it (too shy) ? . You were amazing! Thanks for a great evening! “My wife found out about Buckets from a friend who said they went and thought it was a nice local bar so when we were in the area we decided to check it out. It's a bit off the beaten path and if you're not looking for it you'll miss it. It's a bit tricky parking because the front is a liquor store and Buckets is on the side in the back. When we arrived around 1230 there were a couple of groups and about 4 couples in the pub. We found a table and was greeted shortly. The waitress told us of the special and took our drink order, the menu is what I would expect in a pub bar but there were some nice choices not usually seen. I ordered the Ruben and my wife the Cuban panini both were good. Talking with the waitress I found out that this is not a new place but has changed owners over the years. The current chef does weekly specials to add to the daily menu. Cost was reasonable service was good and the atmosphere was friendly, we will visit again because we like and support local establishments versus the chain eateries. Try it I think you'll like it.“

“They have been a life saver many times since moved into the area 4 mths ago. I work long hours and sometimes when I get off it's after 9pm and all the spirit stores in my area close between 8-9pm 7 days a week. So I am thankful for their awesome staff at the drive thru and look forward to my next visit. ✌️♥️“
“Great small bar & liquor store with a drive through :) People are friendly and down to earth. I love going for happy hour on a weekend afternoon and playing keno. Free popcorn with Old Bay to sprinkle on top :) Clientele is very diverse in both age & occupation - white collar, blue collar, retired folks, college kids & lot's of regular locals. I don't go on the weekend nights, but I understand it's always busy with a younger crowd. It's a piece of St. Mary's County history & worth the experience. Prices are very reasonable.“
“Visited a friend up here & we went to this bar. It's def a hole in the wall, but a cool little joint! Bartender was super friendly & the drinks are cheap. Plenty of parking too. They have darts & pool tables if that's your jam. This is our new hang out when we come back to visit!“
“Very nice bar. Its had been a local watering hole for a very very long time. It has updated and remodeled since the last time I was there. I love how they kept the old bar and liquor shelves but bicycles them. Very large outside bar with dance floor and seating. Great corn hole pits also. They have live entertainment every weekend and prior to Covid they also sometimes had food. Busy place with limited car parking, special parking for motorcycles.“
“This place always has some specials along with their awesome menu. I would not recommend the “Asian sticky ribs.” They sound good but they are tough and the Asian marinade is delicious but not as sticky of a glaze that you're thinking. Had their avocado toast—amazing! And their mahi can't be beat either as a sandwich or in their tacos. Best fries I've had in the Southern MD area!“
