“I really enjoyed the restaurant. I was skeptical at first because I had never tried Jamaican food because I do not like spicy food. This restaurant has definitely changed my view point. The waitress Marlene was fabulous. I will give them 100 stars. 5 is not enough.”

“My son Aaron is on the extreme end of the spectrum and Kiwi is his service dog. This morning, Aaron wanted to go to breakfast which he never asks to do. Sarah Renae and I go to Double T Diner White Marsh for lunch periodically. I called to see how busy they were and if they had booths available. We got a booth in the back (near that giant TV) our waiter was amazing so was the hostess. Aaron does not like going to eat at restaurants because far too often he's made to feel unwelcome because of his service dog. Let me be clear not telling him to leave and making him feel welcome like every other customer are not the same. Today, he was made to feel welcome. Today, his service dog (Kiwi) was made to feel welcome. After we ate breakfast which he had this huge pumpkin Belgium waffle with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, caramel and chocolate syrup with a side a bacon (only 12. 99) I let him pick out a desert for us to take home then he went outside while I paid. He picked the recess cheesecake for himself and the tiramisu for me. One of the hostesses came and asked how things where and if I was the one who had called earlier. I started to tear up as I thanked her and the staff for making Aaron feel welcome and like every other customer. I think it's important to acknowledge when a business not only does the right thing but does the right thing correctly and enthusiastically. So, to the owners, the hostesses, and our waiter (forget his name) thank you from a mom and caretaker this was a big deal for him. Veronica”

“This was our first visit to the G&A but it definitely wont be the last! We have eaten crab cakes at many of Baltimore’s restaurants and indeed in restaurants all over the world and I can say with absolute certainty that the crab cake at the G&A was the best we have ever had. It was full of lump crab meat and the seasoning was sublime. We also tried the salads and the home fries, everything was delicious. We have since been back for breakfast and this too was prepared to such a high standard with a wide choice to suit all tastes. The G&A is an absolute gem of a restaurant with friendly and attentive staff and owners who clearly care deeply about giving their customers the best possible experience. I highly recommend a visit, you will not be disappointed.”

“Today I tried Charcoal Style for the first bc time ever. I ordered the pit turkey sandwich (regular) with an order of fries. It was THE best pit turkey sandwich that I have ever had, and the fries!!!!! The fries would absolutely give Thrashers a run for their money! I can’t wait to try more from this little gem!”

“my husband and I have been here many times but tonight we celebrated our 13 year anniversary and everything was perfect. our server Mateo was attentive, quick and kept our drinks filled. we enjoyed some crushes and crab dip for an appetizer and had the steak and crab cake cooked to perfection 😘 chefs kiss. definitely enjoyed our kid free date night.”

“They make a wide variety of cuisines and every one they made for us was fresh, hot, and very tasty! Their order/pickup window is effective and makes for an easy and quick pick-up trip. And they are super nice and helpful 😊”

“I placed a mobile order at this location. The order was made quickly, unfortunately the store was out of the main dish that I had ordered. As a vegetarian there were no other options that worked for me. I would not use the app for this location again, there is clearly a lack of communication between the store and corporate. The location has plenty of parking but in general is out of a populated area.”

“Today was my second day eating here. I ordered spicy lamb vindaloo w/ rice and garlic naan. Everything was delivered above and beyond and it was soooooo yummy!! The women cooking and taking orders were also very polite and made sure everything was delivered better than expected. Very pleasant experience :) I will be back!”

“I love this franchise, but while my friend was inside I wanted a taste so I just ordered a single thigh. It was so hot, juicy and dang good. I wished I had ordered more but the window wasn't full enough to me. But it hit the spot and was great! I would eat there again as I have in the past. “This is a great cold stone. They do an excellent job mixing toppings and incorporating a plethora of them. The only reason I gave it four stars instead of five is because the customer service could be a bit better. They always just seem exhausted.”

“Marta manages to be both lively and cozy simultaneously in a rowhouse that previously housed Salt (one of my all time favorite upscale restaurants) We went for a friend's birthday, and all 3 courses were delicious, beautifully presented, inventive, and not the same old menu that you find everywhere. Very sweet wait staff was super attentive, educated about the food and wine and made great suggestions. Our original wait staff had an emergency and had to leave in the middle of service, but seamlessly another wait person stepped in to covered us. Kudos to the front of house team for handling with such skill and ease. But the food was definitely the star of the show. For me, the standout was the tuna cannoli. I'm not even sure I can do justice to this deliciousness with a crunchy outer "cannoli" shell with a slight hint of sweet surrounding a creamy center of tuna crudi with little dots of avocado cream. And all was covered with a pistachio "dust." The spicy meatballs were delectable nestled in a cloud of creamy spicy ricotta. And the Duck and Foie Gras Panzotti (little triangle ravioli) was creamy, delicious and the perfect combination of delicate tastes. And the Tiramisu Affogato ended the dinner on a delicious note! And for two people with drinks it was really pretty a good deal for the quality if the food, service and location. We will be back! Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5”

“Wow, I used to love you guys... But once I found out you guys hired someone that distributed child pron, that love immediately stopped. Oh, and I forgot to mention... He distributed THOUSANDS!! THOUSANDS of photos and videos of prepubescent children and toddlers. I'm all for hiring felons, but not when those felons endanger children. The name of the employee is Charles Pijanowski. “I just have to share the fantastic experience we had tonight. My husband and I went to The Local around 6:30 pm (prime time without reservations lol). The only available seats were a high top table in the bar area. They asked us if that was ok and we said “sure”. Within a minute or so after being seated, it became apparent that our vision of a nice relaxing dinner would be impossible in that room. The Preakness was about to begin, and that bar was loud and hopping! Don’t get me wrong, I’m not complaining, I love to see people enjoying themselves. It was a party, but just wasn’t our vibe tonight. We decided we would go elsewhere. We politely informed the hostess that we were going to leave because it was just a tad too noisy, but that we would definitely return again soon. We stressed that we were not mad, or upset. As we were walking to our car, a very nice gentleman followed us out and asked if we would consider returning if they could sit us elsewhere. We said “Of course!” We didn’t think there were any other available tables, but he said they would work something out for us. We told him we didn’t expect them to go out of their way for us and that we could wait. Within five minutes, we were seated at a lovely table in the dining room. We later learned the gentleman that helped us was none other than the owner/ executive chef Zack. We went on to have a delicious dinner with the most attentive and charming server. They demonstrated exemplary customer service, which sadly is lacking in many other establishments. We weren’t expecting any special treatment, but they certainly went above and beyond for us, and it was very much appreciated! When we were leaving, Zack happened to be outside, so he made sure to ask how our experience was. We told him it was amazing, and that his restaurant has been one of our favorites since it opened. We told him we would be back soon. Our experience there tonight is just one of many examples why this restaurant stands out, and why we will always highly recommend them! Thank you all so much for proving customer service is not a dying art!”
