“Vacationing in Boothbay, and at the top of our favorite restaurants is Ports of Italy, this place is not to be missed if you love Italian cuisine. Very popular with the locals and the tourists, be smart and make a reservation, especially over the weekend so you will not be disappointed. They are open 7 days a week 4:30-8:00. We had an early reservation and was taken to our table and immediately approached by our waiter, given water, he told us the specials and gave us time to look over the menu. We received a paper bag of warm, delicious rustic bread and olive oil dipping sauce, so good. After ordering, our food arrived in a timely fashion right from the kitchen. I ordered the veal ravioli in a mushroom cream sauce, let me tell you my choice was just delicious and very rich and filling. Husband ordered Osso Buco sitting on top of a rich broth and risotto, what a great presentation and my husband enjoyed it tremendously! Our waiter was very attentive to us and good at his job. The busboys were so nice and took good care of our needs. This place is a cut above the rest and they are popular and have a cult following!! Highly recommend coming here, a little pricey but so worth the experience. Bob and Debbie/ Mich”

“Four of us ate dinner at the Thistle Inn on Columbus Day weekend and it was spectacular! A+ for the service, atmosphere and food. Our four entrees were amazing.

The Cioppino was perfectly cooked. Our lamb shank was braises to perfection. The daily special, Balckened Salmon, was spicy, moist and delicious. I had the Sirloin Tips which were awesome.

Take the time and make the trip. You will not be disappointed.”

“The food is great and staff very friendly. We visit the area yearly and this is my favorite place to go for breakfast. Fresh baked goods are so good, amazing views outside. Yes it gets busy but it's a great place to go and if it feels crowded give it a minute. Service is very quick and once everyone is seated it's just an amazing location.”

“Footbridge is my favorite place to get a good beer and hang out with friends. Beer is fantastic, love the soft pretzel with old world mustard. Staff is super friendly and knowledgable.”

“A nice bbq spot next to the brewery, where you can bring the food back to the brewery or the beer down to the bbq spot. Brisket sandwich was good and fries were a nice compliment.”

“We were scheduled for a schooner ride and had a late lunch here. The schooner cruise was cancelled due to fog but our experience at the restaurant was so pleasant that we didn't mind. The food and drink was very good and our waiter, Andre, was attentive without being intrusive and made our experience quite pleasant. This place is quite close to Boothbay Harbor but not nearly as crowded. We will be back!”

“Loved this restaurant. Located in the Spruce Point Inn in Boothbay Harbor, it’s a quaint, cozy casual restaurant. The food was incredible. We dined in several times and one night brought the food back to our room. Staff was wonderful and accommodating. Highly recommended if you find yourself in Boothbay harbor!!!”

“Atmosphere of restaurant is cozy and friendly. As someone who fixed their appliances I found their kitchen to be cleaner than many fancy restaurants, specifically the Olive Garden. First thing I noticed was the aroma of fresh pizza. Their product did not let me down.”
