WOW. Wish we had tried this sooner! Amazing flavors, generous portions, and the sauces were out of this world. Try the Arepas! The menu offers first time diners enough help to make confident choices and the staff members were equally helpful!Kid-friendliness: Perhaps better for adventurous kids... No kid specific menu.
Love the fact that we can get empanadas in these parts now. We discovered Maiz because they started selling from a cart at the Bath Farmer's Market. But they have a shop in Brunswick and I stopped in about a week ago to get a pack of frozen pork empanada's to bring home. It makes for a yummy and very quick dinner. You can also eat there, and it looks like they have a charming bar setup there. We'll be back.

Some of the best, if not the best latino food in Maine. And gluten free friendly!! They have another location in Portland, both sell frozen food that can be cooked at home and it always comes out perfectly. If you dine in, you HAVE to get a filled arepa and a platano maduro.
