The best vietnamese food I've found in the greater Portland area. Charming and welcoming small dining space in two rooms. Make reservations several days in advance. The bar serves the full menu and is a great option for walk in. In two tries I've sampled many of the small plates on the menu. The scallops were a recent standout. Warm staff, great hospitality, and good value. The food is tasty and while I can certainly work to find a critique here and there I am reluctant to do so because I am happy and satisfied. We just had our second experience at Tao Yuan and we were introduced to another new ingredient (celtuce- the first time it was star beans). Was excited to finally try this restaurant. It's located in Brunswick right next to the post office. Few parking spots for restaurant and street parking. Reservations are highly recommended. Can make them online. Very large wine menu- assorted price ranges too. Fun tea menu. Artistic cocktails. Foods are meant to be shared but I would say portions were pretty large.
