The food is more like a Colombian fusion, is not typical Colombian dishes but still very good. The place feels cold and empty but is very clean and modern.

Some of the best, if not the best latino food in Maine. And gluten free friendly!! They have another location in Portland, both sell frozen food that can be cooked at home and it always comes out perfectly. If you dine in, you HAVE to get a filled arepa and a platano maduro. You'll thank me later. Make sure to grab a bag of pan de bono for home on your way out.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free

WOW. Wish we had tried this sooner! Amazing flavors, generous portions, and the sauces were out of this world. Try the Arepas! The menu offers first time diners enough help to make confident choices and the staff members were equally helpful!Kid-friendliness: Perhaps better for adventurous kids... No kid specific menu.

Love the fact that we can get empanadas in these parts now. We discovered Maiz because they started selling from a cart at the Bath Farmer's Market. But they have a shop in Brunswick and I stopped in about a week ago to get a pack of frozen pork empanada's to bring home. It makes for a yummy and very quick dinner. You can also eat there, and it looks like they have a charming bar setup there. We'll be back.

Wow I love the arepas so so much. Super cute interior and painted walls. Can get busy with ordering at the counter

Really great food! It was our first time in with a group of 6 and the food was so good!! The house margarita was also great. Cute atmosphere and a little shop as well. Highly recommend!

The food is delicious! We split two Arepas and the Platano Maduro. The sauces for the Arepas are very tasty. We tried the Basico with Cilantro and Garlic Lovers with Suerito and loved them both. The Platano Maduro was so good. The guava lime juice added a balance to the flavors and the dulce de leche finished off a wonderful meal.

The Maiz was great. Very quaint little spot for a quick bite to eat after strolling the side walks. Everything is gluten free and so many options. This was my first Columbian sandwich like this. The sandwich was packed full, and the hardest part was trying to figure out how to eat it. It was so much wider than my mouth could open. There are many different sauces, but I choose the cilantro. I love cilantro but have never had a cilantro paste like this, but it was awesome. The place is very spacious and clean but not set up for large groups. The staff was very friendly.

Delicious, authentic Colombian street food right off Maine St. in Brunswick, Maine. Everything is so fresh: arepas, pasabocas (snacks) such as mini arepas, platano maduro, empanadas and other authentic options. Lots of house sauces including ajo, cilantro and roja dulce. All fantastic! You can also build your own arepas and rice bowls. Beautiful, bright, spacious restaurant, some Colombian items for sale. Staff is friendly and accommodating.

We went last night for dinner and the food was great! The staff was friendly and welcoming to our toddler who was dancing and singing to the music! The restaurant layout is specious, clean, and full of bright colors! We will be back!
