Was excited to finally try this restaurant. It's located in Brunswick right next to the post office. Few parking spots for restaurant and street parking. Reservations are highly recommended. Can make them online. Very large wine menu- assorted price ranges too. Fun tea menu. Artistic cocktails. Foods are meant to be shared but I would say portions were pretty large. They recommend 2-3 plates per person. Few groups of 4 dining so makes it fun to try a bunch of different items. Sadly forgot to get pictures of my food. Menu changes frequently and dumplings are daily. They even ran out of the daily dumpling after I ordered and served us another option (though the daily one looked abd sounded better). The sausage rice balls were my fave!

The best vietnamese food I've found in the greater Portland area. Charming and welcoming small dining space in two rooms. Make reservations several days in advance. The bar serves the full menu and is a great option for walk in. In two tries I've sampled many of the small plates on the menu. The scallops were a recent standout. The flavors are generally a little stronger and not as delicately blended as I might like, but overall still pretty darn delicious. Beer and sake selections are well curated. The bill will set you back, but you'll have a great meal!

A warm atmosphere and pleasant staff. The food was served in small portions so multiple dishes recommended. The taste was phenomenal.

Warm staff, great hospitality, and good value. The food is tasty and while I can certainly work to find a critique here and there I am reluctant to do so because I am happy and satisfied. We just had our second experience at Tao Yuan and we were introduced to another new ingredient (celtuce- the first time it was star beans). If you haven’t visited Zao Ze next door it’s also worthwhile. It is clear to me that a lot of thought and time went into creating both of these establishments, and we are lucky to have them in Brunswick.

We just ate there, food is not authentic and very expensive, $105 for 2 people, 5 pieces clams in the clam dish, which is too salty, all the portions are very small,5 pieces of lamb in the lamb dish(we got this free because they delivered it wrong table, we appreciate it so gave high tip on this)and 5 pieces duck on duck breast dish, the green salad had some bad pieces, we won't go back there.

The carrots were really good. However beware of the fish dish, they leave the bones in and say they are big and easy to spot, not true. They are regular fish bones and I swallowed one, not a great experience. The goat cheese was good, like an Indian paneer. The eggplant hot pot was just ok, and the dumplings were fine too, but not spicy as they say.

Incredible meal! One of those meals where you stop talking when the food arrives because you're so into every dish. Great drinks too! Overall a creative and unique menu, worth a drive to go for dinner. I'm looking forward to going

Some of the dishes were quite good, such as the cod with noodles, celtuce and noodles. and the tuna sashimi. Others were OK, such as the steamed dumplings and the fried goat cheese. And two dishes, the clams with rice cakes and the open-faced bao buns with lamb belly, were quite disappointing. Given the high prices and the past excellent of this restaurant, they should be able to do better.

Food and service were amazing. I flew in from out of town for my Mother’s birthday and was really impressed with the quality, freshness, attention to detail and friendly service. Needless to say, it’s my Mom’s favorite restaurant and I can’t wait to come back.

Met friends here on Friday and wanted to make sure to review this unique asian fusion restaurant on Pleasant street in Brunswick ME . This is an interesting place ! 5 stars for the satisfying menu offerings with complex and balanced tastes. 5 stars for the waitress who described items so well. We ordered two plates each and the four of us all shared . The beef dumplings were wonderful and flavorful, not spicy . And we were similarly were satisfied with the flavors of the cilantro noodles with duck confit , the crispy rice balls and the tasty green beans dish . We also ordered a side of rice which we all took home along with our tiny leftover boxes.
