“This place is a staple in fairfield. 30 yrs ago our baseball teams would get ice cream after the win, here. Their meat and egg pies and dont forget about the ice cream.Parking: Park, order, listen for your number!Kid-friendliness: Kids love ice cream!Wheelchair accessibility: Ground level entry“
“Great diner! Exactly what you would expect to see walking in with the paper placemats and whimsical stuff on the walls. Coffee was great, food was great, service was quick, friendly and fun, even while being short staffed. Will definitely be back for future breakfasts and lunch!“
“This is a fast paced hotdog shop with a small but delicious menu. You'll smell the place when you get out of the car and it's great. The grilled onions are perfect on anything! Hotdogs are delicious, as are the fresh fries and onion rings. Chili cheese dogs or sauerkraut and mustard with onions, both options are superb.“
“This place had an interesting atmosphere. The food was good and presented well. The waitress was super friendly and accommodating.Parking: They screwed with the parking situation downtown in an attempt at gentrification to appeal to the college crowd's families. This resulted in far worse traffic and fewer parking spots. You may have to park in the Goodwill parking lot and walk, if there is room there.“
“Outstanding food and service of all the restaurants in the area that I have tried! Good large portions and excellent service! The only problem is that they close at 11:30 am so you must get there early to experience this fine dining experience! I give it a 5 star rating!“
“Great food and great service at this lively sports bar. The menu is extensive and then there are the specials to make it even harder to choose something to eat. Our group ended up with the BBQ Ribs, the Prime Rib and the Rustlers Rib (Prime Rib grilled with garlic butter) and it was all done perfectly. They have a great selection of draft beers as well.If you are looking for boiled Lobster, check the specials on line as they had a Double Lobster dinner for $29.99.They have outdoor seating if you are looking for that.“
“Delicious! Generous desert portion and fresh. Awesome spot for coffee and desert to celebrate a birthday.Parking: Handicap entrance back of restaurant with wide door and ramp.Wheelchair accessibility: Wide doors, spare wheelchair available as courtesy, women's restroom has plenty of space for chair use“
“Brilliant idea & such a lovely place! This old parsonage house (Circa early 1800's) has been upgraded, but still has that down-home, old-time feel. Proprietor, Hospitality Host & Supreme Chef Lori Dumont puts care & Love into every delectable bite. It's not just the fine, down-home four course meals that are exceptional; it's the lovely service, welcoming authentic Maine goodness & smiles that make you feel right at home. It's the feeling of family, fun & friendship that accompanies the meals. If you have a chance to visit this lovely place, you will not be disappointed!“
“Having stood the test of time, The Landing has been an iconic cornerstone in our community for several years. The longevity of this establishment speaks volumes about the consistent quality, passion, and dedication they pour into every facet of their business. One of the standout aspects of The Landing is its commitment to freshly prepared food, made-to-order. Each dish is a testament to the culinary prowess of the chefs, who evidently take immense pride in their work. Ingredients are fresh, flavors are robust, and the presentation is always impeccable. There's a palpable difference when you're served a meal that has been crafted as opposed to merely assembled, and this difference is evident in every bite at The Landing.Another admirable trait of this restaurant is its rootedness in the community. Owned and operated by local business owners, there's an authenticity and intimacy that permeates the atmosphere. The staff, most of whom are local workers, brings warmth and familiarity to the experience. They treat you not just as a customer, but as a guest — a friend, even.In a world where chain restaurants are becoming the norm, places like The Landing are a breath of fresh air. They remind us of the importance of community, of taking a moment to savor the food, and of the genuine connections that can be forged over a shared meal.If you're looking for a dining experience that feels both personal and gourmet, look no further than The Landing. Their longstanding reputation is well-earned, and their commitment to quality and community is truly unparalleled.“
“My husband and I greatly enjoyed our dinner at this place. The atmosphere was elegant and relaxing. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Our server was Forest G. He really made it a wonderful experience. He deserves to be recognized for his efforts. Thank you very much! We will be returning.“
“Great environment and food. One of the better places in Waterville to eat dinner. We had an awesome server but I failed by forgetting her name. I highly recommend trying out Lions Den!The steak was cooked to perfection!! The artichoke dip was amazing as well.“
“This was our first time there. We went with friends for trivia night. We had a fantastic time! We ordered drinks and the nachos as we'd had dinner before coming. The nachos weren't great. It was more like a salad with chips in it. However my son had steak and mash and he said it was fantastic. We definitely plan to go back, we'll just order something other than the nachos.“
“One of my favorite places to eat in Waterville. You have to be prepared for one waitress, but it’s not really that slow. The prices can’t be beat: a generous tuna sandwich with lettuce on toasted rye with regular potato chips is only $4.50. In 2024!“
“I've had some really good espresso drinks here and just tried a breakfast sandwich and that was great too. I really like the atmosphere here. Big beautiful windows and high ceilings make it feel very open and airy. They seem a little shorthanded which is the only reason I gave four stars. The person at the counter was both in charge of orders, making drinks, and running the food. The person making cooking was also running food. Having to jump between jobs like that makes employees stressed and decreases quality. Still an excellent experience and would recommend, but hope that in summer they keep two people working out front.“
“This restaurant is one of the best ones in the greater Waterville area. The staff is always been friendly, the food Is always amazing, and live coming here all year around. Summer time you can sit outside and enjoy the beautiful outdoors and yummy food and sometimes good local live music.“
“I've been searching for a good Mediterranean pizza since I moved to Waterville, and I've finally found it! The pizza was crispy and super flavorful, and so reasonablly priced! This is the best house of pizza/pizza place in the waterville area.“
