One of my favorite places to eat in Waterville. You have to be prepared for one waitress, but it’s not really that slow. The prices can’t be beat: a generous tuna sandwich with lettuce on toasted rye with regular potato chips is only $4.50. In 2024!

We know about this place because it is a couple businesses down from Yard Goods, a knitting and craft store my wife can and does get lost in sometimes. I suspect The Villager would get a higher rating from me for a lunch meal, as I can be a tougher rater for breakfast. I cook some pretty good eggs and breakfast wraps, and my wife excels with several types of pancakes, etc., so it is hard for me to find something new and different on breakfast menus. I have eaten at a lot of mom and pop dinners. I have to say that the food is absolutely amazing. they were short staffed however that did not in any way affect how the food was prepared. it all came out perfectly cooked. The hash at this restaurant is the absolute best I have had from Maine to Florida it makes you want more. The staff was super friendly even though the place was packed.
