This was a very nice distillery. The owner’s were friendly and informative. The tastings were great. I would highly recommend this establishment for fantastic service and purchases. A beautiful tasting bar. A must stop when in Freeport Maine.
Just to be clear, we did not go on a long drinking weekend in Maine! We did go to Cold River Vodka for a tasting though. Wow! First off, their blueberry vodka (made with Maine Blueberries) may be the best Vodka I've ever had. Their gin, also amazing. Their aged vodka tastes like scotch! The place is fun, the crew is fun! Absolutely, positively, pleasant experience with Diane in the tasting room. Diane is both knowledgeable and passionate about their product. We only did a tasting but they also offer some cocktails. Their products are well done, hitting high marks in our book. Being farm to bottle is also a win-win! Lastly, the blueberry vodka… they nailed it! Such a fresh, natural flavor.
